Reviews for Hôtel Le Royal Ours Blanc
Review 1:The under floor heating is all you need in the bedrooms. Turn the radiators off!
Review 2:Excellent position in town centre, with a bus stop for the regular (and free) shuttle buses. Stall are efficient and friendly, and the room is comfortable.
Review 3:Maid service was poor. Consumables not replaced, towels never changed and to cap it all they tried to charge for two items from the mini bar that were not there when we arrived and we didn't consume. Breakfast ran out of food
Review 4:David in restaurant very helpful and hard working a was the barman upstairs
Review 5:Struggling to think of anything. Perhaps a bit disappointed that paying guests aren't allowed to sit on the restaurant terrace unless ordering food / drinks.
Review 6:I stayed for Megavalanche week. My normally healthy appetite was doubled, but there was always enough very good food for breakfast and dinner. We stayed in the duplex suite. Great room with awesome views over the Alps.
Review 7:The staff were fantastic - very friendly and accommodating of any requests, and one even offered to help pack my bike which is well beyond the call of duty!
Review 8:Wanted to stay an extra night but hotel was closing for the week.
Review 9:Perfect location for riding up the l'alpe taking in the festivities and close to many restaurants!
Review 10:Check-in time 4pm, check-out time 10am! Very strict! If you arrive early, you will have to wait until 4pm to check in. NO KIDDING. And at 10am, they are ready to kick you out. The only free thing to use in Spa area is a cold swimming pool. Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room is NOT free of Charge. And even if you pay for it, you will not be able to use it as they assign each customer 2 hours exclusively to use jacuzzi, sauna and steam room! So when you want to book it, it is always fully booked. Bath - water is not very hot so it doesn't help your sore muscle after skiing a whole day. It's a 4 star hotel but lights everywhere is automatic which means whenever you get in or get out, it is always dark apart from the reception. wifi's signal is so so so bad. Unable to use internet.

Review 12:Did not change bed for a weeks stay that's disgusting had to chuck towels out as they did not change them either not the best location as long walks to slops would not stay again and not value for money
Review 13:Hotels ok breakfast ok
Review 14:Location not great for skiing, involves a bus ride to nearest lifts (which isn't too onerous, but can take time), but otherwise is close to nearby shops and restaurants. Seems to be quite noisy at night (2/3am) as students return to nearby apartments and make a lot of noise. Wifi was very slow and almost unusable.
Review 15:Recently renovated, and good looking interior although rooms are very modern and bright colours (red, yellow etc). Facilities are good, excellent pool. Staff generally very helpful.
Review 16:Nothing to dislike. a couple of hooks in the room for ski coats and an extra bin would have been useful but certainly didn't spoil my holiday.
Review 17:location, late and varied breakfast, spacious and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and fantastic massages, good location for ski bus and large locker in boot room. Would use this accommodation again if visiting alpe d'huez. Think we were lucky in that the hotel has just benefitted from a refurbishment which we did not know on booking.
Review 18:The internet wasn't working very well when we were there, but the manager told us she is due to have the signal boosted soon.
Review 19:Well drilled team of staff. The hotel has just been freshly renovated, and the British manager has her team working well.

Review 26:Lovely staff. Lovely hotel.
Review 27:Early closing of bar
Review 28:Location, arctitecture of the building in- and outside, SPA
Review 29:The dining room got a bit cold in the evenings when it was very cold outside.
Review 30:Very modern but still had a lot charm. The staff were very friendly.
Review 31:The restaurant is not a pleasant place.
Review 32:The location and the excellent rooms
Review 33:The dining room is too cold.
Review 34:Hamam, sauna
Review 35:Location, comfort
Review 36:Guests slamming doors
Review 37:Location, Location, Location
Review 38:The staff spoke perfect English and was so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The room and views from the balcony were super.
Review 39:Receptionist: could not find my booking when we arrived (made thru booking.com); Reception Hall: Far too small for the hotel size; Restaurant: A terrible experience in terms of food (simply uneatable)… Staff is nice and polite but not highly qualified. Swimming pool - very cold and the Jacuzzi (you do not even want to think about using it as water not clear at all - to say the least). Room was extremely hot - never sweat like that in my entire life when sleeping (due to electrical heating set too high). We are going very often to the Alpe d'Huez but first time in that hotel – really bad experience. Definitively, not to be renewed! :-(
Review 40:The location - very centered.
Review 41:There was far too much noise from the street below from drunken British youths. I couldn't sleep at night until I got ear plugs from the pharmacy!
Review 42:Lovely staff who were friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Review 43:The decor in the hotel,it is clean and modern. The food in the restaurant ,the staff was very nice and helpful. The shuttle to the lifts stops just in front of the hotel.
Review 44:Our room service wasn't very good and there was generaluncleanliness especially in the pool area. Hotel was very dated.
Review 45:The friendliness of the staff is the hotel's greatest asset. Thestaff at the front desk and in the restaurant did their best to beaccomodating.
Review 46:Spa area could be a bit more cozy and romantic and hot tub could have been a few degrees warmer, otherwise great!
Review 47:Very friendly staff and great service. Reception and restaurant accommodated most of our needs and requests. Staff even had dinner waiting in our room for our first night of late arrival 23:00, and brought us breakfast to the room on special request one morning even though it's not policy. So we are more than satisfied! For being a three star hotel it's delivers at top of what you can expect. Also GREAT value for money and the hotel is very central.
Review 48:Lighting in bedrooms needed to be brighter.
Review 49:Friendly helpful courteous staff Excellent facilities, pool, sauna, steam rooms, gym Comfortable clean rooms . Tasty, well presented good food.
Review 50:Breakfast was terrible
Review 51:Good room and location
Review 52:staff
Review 53:poor lighting in room for reading
Review 54:excellent deal all round.
