Reviews for Auberge de la Comtesse
Review 1:We were there from Saturday to Sunday and the breakfast was only until 10 am, however, this is a minor point.
Review 2:Very cute little hotel, nicely restored room (loads of flowers on the walls and curtains, but somehow it works).
Review 3:Breakfast a bit expensive for what it was
Review 4:Great location, price and staff. Rooms are quite small but still ok. There not many hotels (if some) like this in this price level.
Review 5:I didn't like the price of the breakfast. I found it very expensive10 euros per person. Also, I didn't like the towels which are in badcondition. Excellent staff!!
Review 6:Turkheim is very beautiful place, the staff served us in every requestwe applied.
Review 7:Dinner abd vino selection.
Review 8:I am using this place for years on my journeysite from England to Italy. Always I am looking forward to exelant dinner frindly reception easily parking. Good value for money.
Review 9:The only thing was that was negative is we couldn't figure out the shower which is attached to tap, so we had a nice soak in the bath instead
Review 10:Lovely place to stay, the staff were lovely, gracious and very competent. The food was great, lovely breakfast. If its a quaint comfortable experience you want on your travels, in a beautiful medieval French village then this should suit you.
Review 11:The bathroom is outdated with only a wand for a shower and no room to use it without getting the floor wet. The toilet is cramped to one side of the sink and there's no enough room to move.
Review 12:Good location, plenty of space for luggage and to move around. Very nice hotel.
Review 13:The room was very small, and the bathroom incredibly cramped. We had a room on the main road, and it was noisy.
Review 14:The staff are very nice, and the village is beautiful.
Review 15:There was a very unpleasant aroma of old feet from the carpet in room 205.
Review 16:The customer service from all staff was excellent and so friendly. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and evening dinner delicious.
Review 17:Great location in Turckheim - walking distance to everything. Convenient free parking in the evening. Turckheim is a great home "base" to explore the surrounding Alsace region.
Review 18:The only thing that I didn't like was the 20 Euro fee for a cot to be put in the room. I wish they would have been free or maybe a 10 euro charge instead of 20 euro.
Review 19:The staff was great, the rooms were small and cozy! The bed was great! Location was fantastic and the town was very cute!
Review 20:No airconditioning, a problem as we faced the unusual 37 C temperature.
Review 21:A nice cosy hotel just at the entrance of the fabulous Alsatic Medieval village of Turckheim. It was clean and adequate. Just 15 minutes from the national road.
Review 22:The staff was very helpful. The room is small but comfortable. The bathroom is very compact but everything was nice, updated and clean. We enjoyed going with the nightwatchman at 10 pm around town. Cute and convenient town and hotel.
Review 23:Location is superb in this lovely Alsace town. Restaurant was excellent we had the choice of eating inside or outside. Lovely restaurant with excellent menu. Parking is opposite in the main town public car park (free).
Review 24:Our room was impossible to air. Switching the light of the bathroom on, also started a noisy ventilator
Review 25:The hotell is situated nearby the old town centre of Turckheim
Review 26:Read above
Review 27:Nothing. Dirty beds, Rude Staff. Nobody available for early checkout. Had to clear all bills night before. Unless you like to suffer don't go here
Review 28:Restaurant in the hotel was closed the day we arrived. But there were many other restaurants around, so it was not too bad. Parking was a bit far because of the market next day. There is no elevator in the hotel.
Review 29:Nice nad cozy hotel, comfortable room, quite spaceful for French hotels. Restaurant downstairs looked great (unfortunately it was closed the day we arrived). Great surroundings - beautiful town, nice Friday morning market right in front of the hotel, whole wine region around is great and worth visiting. We stayed only one night on our way, but I can imagine staying longer with some trips in neighbouring towns and wine places.
Review 30:The room has cleanliness but old facilities, and a part of room lights are doesn't working...
Review 31:Good location. There is in small town where has good atmosphere for walk and easy to access to neighbor town. We were asked to upgrade them to a room in 3 star hotel next door(maybe as a same owner). So we can get a comfortable stay and good breakfast.
Review 32:the manager (a lady) told off a new employee (gent) in front of us for, apparently, not cleaning a table correctly. Good that she does her job, but not in front of me. I take no pleasure in witnessing someone humiliation.
Review 33:the bar/ break out aera. the breakfast room. we loved to relax in the sofas.
Review 34:Nothing!
Review 35:Fantastic location for seeing Colmar and the delightfully pretty villages of the Route du Vin. My room was very comfortable although the en-suite shower room was a tad "pokey" but as I was a solo traveller it didn't matter. The wi-fi connection in the room was very reliable and didn't disconnect randomly as I have experieced in other hotels. The restaurant was excellent and the staff very professional and the buffet breakfast was AMAZING with sooo much choice to suit every palate. There was ample FREE parking in a nearby public car park (but beware of restrictions on Friday morning due to the weekly market). And finally the price I got was amazing - 144 euros for a 3-night stay in November when prices in Colmar were much higher and NO free parking. For a 2 star hotel it offered so much more and I can't recommend it enough. I'll definitely return if I am ever this way again.
Review 36:Walls were paper thin. Be aware parking in local carpark nearby. Only problem is Friday mornings you have to leave by 6am for a market to uae the space.
Review 37:Quaint hotel.Location in a lovely little village. Plenty of restaurants around. The hotel has one as well but hadnt travelled with the wardrobe needed to have an evening meal there.
Review 38:It looked like they may need more staff for the breakfast and checkout. One gentleman was doing it all. I think he was a bit overwhelmed.
Review 39:The hotel was very nice. There was a market the next morning and that was right near the hotel. Great! Breakfast was very great, lots of selections!!
Review 40:At arrival we asked personal for parking. Although we had some doubts they confirmed, that we can park in front of their restaurant. Of course in the morning our car was towed away, costing us 115EURs extra. Hotel refused to compensate for their mistake, no apology or offer for extra day at their hotel. Disapointing experience...
Review 41:Hotel was very nice, town is great.
Review 42:none
Review 43:We loved our stay in this nice hotel in the lovely Turckheim. We would definitely come back here and surely we will! We had a nice spacious room all neat and in good order. Thank you
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:Traditional French hotel in delightful small town in wine growing area, close to train station (trains infrequent). Our triple room was spacious for this type of hotel and there was a lift. The restaurant had two good evening menus and an excellent breakfast. We will stay there again.
Review 46:Guests should be asked if they would like to make a reservation for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked and we had to eat elsewhere.
Review 47:Position, comfortable room
Review 48:We were actually transferred (upgraded) to the annex (Hotel Deux Cleffs) which was fabulous. We chose to stay in Turckheim because it's proximity to Colmar but it turned out we got much more than we bargained for and liked it even better than we liked Colmar.
Review 49:The checkout was a bit slow
Review 50:We knew we wanted to visit Colmar and this section of Alsace but we did not expect Turckheim to be such a nice village. The hotel was very charming...the kids loved Sushi the pug....the room was a nice size for 5 of us. We will recommend this hotel.
Review 51:Need to change hotel name online.Perhaps this is done now. I made my reservation for Hotel Des Vosges & when I came the name had been changed. Would have been nice to know in advance, so I would not have wasted time looking for wrong name.
Review 52:Good value, breakfast.
Review 53:nothing
Review 54:Location was perfect, close to the small city center and perfect for a bike ride in the hills. Nice staff, clean room and great breakfest. value for money
Review 55:Slight delay at check in, due to World Cup
Review 56:Turckheim is a great base location, and a beautiful village on its own. we didnt eat breakfast in the hotel.
Review 57:terrible internet, bedrooms with worn carpets, extremely basic old furniture, very expensive breakfasts and dinner prices highest in town
Review 58:excellent location, friendly staff
Review 59:I stayed in many hotels around the globe, this one was among the top-3 from the worst ones: - We have chosen it because they claim they had a wi-fi and parking, but the wi-fi not actually working neither in the room nor near reception (it either did not accept their password, or connected but the speed was not enough for example for browsing booking.com) - Hotel parking means public parking where you would not find a place and which is closed Fri mornings (6-14) because of a village market - Poor staff: need to wait for a long time until he pay his attention to you when you check out. - Dirty towels - Shower without curtain, so everything in the bathroom gets wet - Poor soundproof
Review 60:Quiet, Comfortable & Clean.
Review 61:Staff were very friendly & accomodating - food was excellent and the the location was perfect for hiking, biking or for visiting vineyards.
Review 62:Breakfast a bit pricey; we ate elsewhere.
Review 63:Very friendly staff, clean rooms, free parking nearby.
Review 64:convenience, location
Review 65:Expensive breakfast
Review 66:Bathtub did not have stationary shower head. No shower curtain or door. Bathroom floor got very wet.
Review 67:The walled town next door
Review 68:Room is really basic, old fashioned and very small for 5 people.
Review 69:Great location in the center of Turckheim.
Review 70:Loved the storks. Good view of both nests out of window. Great tour with night watchman at 10pm.
Review 71:Location Breakfast
Review 72:the dinner was unremarkable considering the cost. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room. No one helped with the luggage. I am 76.
Review 73:It was a nice hotel, they even waited for us to arrive as we had been delayed
Review 74:Expensive restaurant and breakfast..
Review 75:Large rooms and comfortable at a very good price and location! Happy service!! Everthing perfect
Review 76:Best location to look around Turckheim.
Review 77:Checking out.
Review 78:The restaurant is amazing!
Review 79:Staff, location, breakfast.
Review 80:erratic wifi
Review 81:excellent location, cozy and atmospheric, , we thought the food in the restaurant downstairs was excellent and not too expensive
Review 82:Room at the 2nd floor/attic smelt strange, small window, very basic
Review 83:Location, very good restaurant, free parking near the hotel
Review 84:Wi-fi est faible Weak Wi-fi
Review 85:le petit dejeuner est tres bien very good breakfast, worth the extra money
Review 86:restaurant prices were a bit too high internet connection
Review 87:location design is kinda interesting staff was friendly
Review 88:Breakfast is very good, nice atmosphere, we had great time
Review 89:location was great
Review 90:Price was a little high for what you received.
Review 91:The location was great. Rooms were clean and a friendly staff.
Review 92:The area
Review 93:Hotel itself, very Good service
Review 94:Took along time to find as the name had changed since we had book and nobody let us know.
Review 95:Great location
Review 96:good Restaurant, good wine
Review 97:The hotel's location right outside the entrance to old Turckheim. Quiet, comfortable room.
Review 98:Friday is market day in Turckheim and big parking place next to hotel was reserved for that so car has to be parked to side streets.
Review 99:Good breakfast, spacious room and excellent location.
Review 100:Very good location overlooking the main square of the very attractive village of Turckheim. Nice walks around the village. We liked our room, very comfortable and spacious
Review 101:Internet didn't work on my laptop, but linked on my phone just fine.
Review 102:Great location in picturesque Turkheim, a good hub for exploring Alsace. Public parking is available close by. Nice, clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but ours had a view of the stork nest atop the town gate tower. Excellent restaurant--the hotel is really an adjunct to the restaurant. Staff all helpful and friendly and can communicate in English well enough. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
Review 103:in one part of the wardrobe there was some noicy pipe probably from kitchen; older hotel
Review 104:very nice city with storks on the tower, nice historical buildings, surrounded by vineyards hotel was clean
Review 105:Despite restaurant advertised on hotels's website as being open it was closed. Returning from dining elsewhere we found people dining. When raised with management they were surprised at complaint and claimed only serving fixed menu demi-pension and that restaurant was always closed Thursday. Bizarre
Review 106:Location
Review 107:The possibility to have breakfast outside is great. Only the coffee, however, is pretty bad with a burned taste.
Review 108:We got a very nice room under the roof with a very comfortable bed. Very calm and pleasant. Great location to explore the village and the surroundings.
Review 109:Room 239 has a bathroom that simply does not comply with health and safety requirements : the ceiling slopes down in an angle so low, that nobody can avoid banging their head during normal moves ,and the edges of the "ceiling" are razor sharp. This is extremely dangerous and should never have been allowed by the building authority.
Review 110:The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was very good.
Review 111:A mirror is needed in the renovated rooms as well a tower rail in the bathroom. Some rooms are not renovated.
Review 112:The location the good relation ship price/quality. The restaurant of the hotel is good but there are also good and chipper alternatives near by.
Review 113:Our room was too small.
Review 114:The loation, at one of Turckheim's 'main portes' is great. There is a nice bar out front and the restaurant is quite good.
Review 115:We got a good price in low season, so we liked it. Plus we were in another building of the same owner, the very old big wooden German hotel. The town is very nice.
Review 116:We booked 2 rooms, one was recently renovated and very nice, the other was not renovated...this was quite disappointing.
Review 117:Very good location. Very good breakfast. Free parking close by.
Review 118:We ordered the house Pinot Gris with the meal. Pinot Gris can varybetween being just off dry moving towards the sweet and this was on thesweet side for a food wine. We think that with the food being soexceptional they should offer a dry Pinot Gris by the glass even if moreexpensive. For example the Turkheim Pinot Gris Granite would have beenwonderful. Otherwise faultless
Review 119:We had an absolutely fabulous meal in the beautiful dining room. Therooms were also well designed and comfortable and the service from thelady manager/owner? Was excellent.
Review 120:Loved everything except the weather.
Review 121:Demi pension for 4 nights.food was local and served with style with friendly staff .excellnt value. Lovely position at gate to old town.made friends over dinner,
Review 123:The Internet at the hotel was weak. The breakfast wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.
Review 124:Perfect location to enjoy the quaint and adorable village of Turckheim. Not too far from Colmar or the other villages along the Vin d'Alsace route.
The Fine Print
