Reviews for Petit Hotel Hostatgeria Sant Salvador

Review 1:The drive up did get a little tiring at times but the view was worth the climb

Review 2:The views are just amazing and it was great waking up with that view and the sounds of nature

Review 3:Nothing concretely. Just be prepared to a narrow and steep road to the hotel.

Review 4:An amazing location, with incredible views of the island and the sea. Despite being on the summit of a mountain, you have 3 different places where eating.

Review 5:Terrace locked at 18.00. There is no outside space but outside the cafe overlooking the car park. Yet this place has the best views on the island and they are not using them.

Review 6:Slight criticism, we didn't have a "do not disturb" sign on the first night so got woken up by the cleaners (we are stargazers, so were up most of the night). Next day we mentioned it and were told that a sign would be added to the room, but this didn't materialise until the third and last night of our stay.

Review 7:Amazing location with unique views. Fantastic for stargazers! The staff were friendly.

Review 8:One thing is that road to the hotel is complicated and extreme (the hotel is on the mountain top), but the view is amazing. Worth it.

Review 9:Place, view from the hotel and around it, clean and silence..Very relaxing place..

Review 10:you can hear almost everything from the corridor and from other rooms, the walls are thin.

Review 11:The hotel is perfect - location could't be better. The atmosphere there was the biggest plus. The breakfast is tasty, lots of parking space. The VIEW!!

Review 12:Went for the 2 bed apartment. No self catering facilities, no kettle, electric hob, toaster, chopping board, washing up sink. Strangely just a microwave and a fridge? Plus cafe food not a good standard.

Review 13:Breathtaking panoramic views and the calming quietness.

Review 14:Dinner was simple and without spices. Recommend have dinner elsewhere if possible.

Review 15:Location was marvelous with its magnificient view in all directions. Rooms had simple decorations which fitted the former monastery. Friendly staff.

Review 16:Wonderful views on top of hill overlooking countryside and sea. Great walk up 510 metres on pilgrims way through woods. Impressively substantial hermitage and adjoining chapel. Good value evening buffet meals.

Review 17:Google maps has the location wrong, it is at the actual Sanctuary.

Review 18:Amazing views, beautiful building, evening buffet and cold beer available. Stunning location although arrived by bike!

Review 19:The hotel is located on a mountain so the road to it is not easy, curved and narrow, but it's only a 5 minutes drive and it is totally worth it!

Review 20:Amazing view. Big and beautiful rooms. Staff is very nice a kind. A quiet, relaxing and exceptional place to spend the night.

Review 21:we cannot remember anything we missed

Review 22:We liked the special location of the hostageria and well deserved scenic view after driving twisting road uphill; calm surrounding - good place for relaxation and/or contemplation; accomodation modest - but all what you need available - very clean; tasty food of half-board including a bottle of wine; friendly staff;

Review 23:Nothing at all

Review 24:The location is amazing with stunning views of the island. The piece and quiet. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The half board option is excellent value for money.

Review 25:Lacked a shelf and some hooks in the bathroom

Review 26:Beautiful view in all directions Friendly staff

Review 27:Excellent restaurant in Felanitx, Es Solleric

Review 28:Beautiful location with very special atmosphere, beautiful view on whole island, very friendly stuff

Review 29:Great view, located on top on the hill.

Review 30:Wonderful views.Adorable staff.Cute cats:) Good prices for the menu, very good breakfast and dinner-you always have the choice.

Review 32:NONE

Review 33:How peaceful the place is and the height

Review 34:Accommodation, food...especially the food!!

Review 35:Location, view

Review 36:amazing view=) u can enjoy drinking coffee on the top of the hill

Review 37:Sometimes a little noisy when kids are running on the roof of my room.

Review 38:Free from television or radio :-). Stunning ride to the top is always exciting. Friendly, helpful staff.

Review 39:Nothing!!

Review 40:Loved the peace, the views the sense of being away from the usual especially for half term! Lovely to have the spirituality on the doorstep and a church service on Sundays

Review 41:The few cons of this hotel are 1. There's nobody on the reception after 4 p.m. and the door is locked. So if you arrive after 4 but before 11 p.m. you can find somebody in the restaurant and ask them where you can get the receptionist to give you the keys. After 11 p.m. you have only a telephone number on the locked hotel door. Hope somebody answers it :) So, mind the arrival time. 2. The road to the hotel is not for the weak. It's a 5 km, 10-15 min well-paved but quite narrow and extremely winding road where you have to pay extra attention to the oncoming traffic (there's quite a few of it, actually). But, once again, when you finally get there, you forgive and forget everything. Definitely worth a try.

Review 42:The first thing you have to know is that the hotel is located on a 500m mountain in the middle of a rather flat main part of the island. Thus, when you open the window in your room, you have a deep breath - in front of you there's a dozen of cities, the sea and some of the nearest islands. The window view is an enough reason to go to this hotel as no other on Mallorca can repeat this. And the good thing - all rooms have the same view. Besides that, ascetic but quite pleasant and clean rooms, nice bathrooms (shower), bar/restaurant with buffet breakfasts/dinners, free parking etc. For its price, it's definitely the best place to stay on Mallorca. It wouldn't be extra luxurious (it's not a five star, although a quite strong 3), but believe me, that window view you will remember forever.

Review 43:* very basic rooms * no airconditioning (need it in august) * no tv (not really need it)

Review 44:* beautiful location * very peaceful and quiet place * great value for money

Review 45:No air-condition. It is difficult to find the hotel. There are no sings and booking.com has bad coordinates the right one are N 39°23.327 E 3°11.096 During our stay we didn´t see the receptionist only the woman at the restaurant.

Review 46:Amazing location at the top of San Salvador with nice view. Quiet place. Large room.

Review 47:Accommodation extremely basic - literally monastic, reflecting the building the hotel is in. It's much too basic really - you wouldn't want to spend more than 1 night here. If the hotel upgraded its room quality, facilities and bathroom cleanliness it could offer the most unbeatable holiday location you can imagine

Review 48:The location is out of this world - almost literally. The views are spectacular. You should come here at least once in your life - if you can find it!

Review 49:They made the bed one night without changing the sheets or giving us new towels until I asked, which was a bit rubbish. Otherwise, no worries though. Good spot and the food was on the whole very nice and good values.

Review 50:This is one of the most beautiful spots in Mallorca. We were sure we'd get to the top and realise we'd made a mistake and that our hostel was somewhere else entirely. It's an incredible view and so quiet. Away from all the hustle of a typical Mallorcan beach holiday, thankfully!

Review 51:loved everything.

Review 52:the most beautiful, relaxing setting. Clean, peaceful, tranquil. The tasty, homemade food if you go self catering, is truly excellent value for money.

Review 53:Absolutely stunning place, as I traveled the island for 12 days with a rented car I could say - the hotel with it's surroundings is one of the most amazing places to stay in the island. It's not just a hotel, it's an amazing beautiful monastery to see, stay, lie down for whole day in the terrace in complete silence at 600m high, meditate in the night on the hill next to the huge cross alone, enjoy amazing views - you can see the whole island from the hotel's place on the top of the hill. It's perfect for place for young couples and old couples without children. Services are very good, staff is friendly and helpful. The room was small, simple, but very clean and nice. The only thing missing - a refrigerator. We had 12 days of 35+ degrees celsius, so it could be nice to have our own cold drinks at the room at least. The room didn't have air conditionier (it's probably normal for such a price) but even during the hottest nights it was easy to sleep - temperature and fresher air at the top of the hill brings comfortable conditions to sleep through opened window. Coffee at the hotel's restaurant is awesome! Recommended ++++ superb place to stay in Mallorca.

Review 54:Fast and/or functioning wifi would be great, but sometimes its good tobe isolated though.Sheets were not clean every day, and sometimes they were a bit old and worn-out.

Review 55:The absolute quietness and black skies filled with bright stars was agreat aspect of our holiday. Waking up by sounds of clinging bells ofthe goats is nice. The thick walls of the building keep the heat out, itwas great to sleep cool without having to put on air-conditioning.To be mobile on the island: a car is a necessity. And for us, driving 26 steep curves up/down hill towards the hotel was fun.

Review 56:There is no reception for the hotel, staff of the bar has to welcome guests but they do not take/have time to do this, not a warm welcome. The rooms do not look like the photo's, they are small and sober. Breakfast is extremely expensive.

Review 57:Great location, the view is pretty. At night it is quiet, room was clean, cheap place.

Review 58:Noise of people in the staircases and halls at night because of theemptiness, echo, no presence of fabrics or tissues......

Review 59:Original fantastic and quiet location, basic but good and clean rooms;

Review 60:Driving up the 5km ramp to the top of the mountain.

Review 61:Stunning views Tranquility

Review 62:Fantastic monastry, beautifull landsvape, fabulous views all around. Staff is very service minded.

Review 63:Steep and narrow road to drive up and down!

Review 64:A unique hotel in an exceptional location. Super!

Review 65:The view was excellent
