Reviews for Chambres d'Hôtes de La Vieille Ecluse

Review 1:An absolute jewel in a fantastic location, room was perfect for our requirement and the surrounding grounds were perfect for our two dogs. Local town was excellent for restaurants and bars.

Review 2:Initially locating the property took some time. More detailed instructions and better signage would help.

Review 3:The quiet rural setting. The friendliness and willingness of the hosts to accommodate our needs with 2 very young children. Sharing the dinner table with our hosts and fellow guests.

Review 4:Great hostess who went to the trouble of a 10 minute drive to find us and escort us to the farmhouse. Excellent homemade, broad spread of continental breakfast

Review 5:Nothing to dislike.

Review 6:Hosts were lovely and offered services like tablecloths and dishes for use in garden and use of fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Breakfast was excellent and varied.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Friendly owner, excellent location and very pet friendly

Review 9:Superb location - quiet but close to beach, restaurants etc. Wonderful breakfast

Review 10:Friendly hosts, lovely breakfast. Enjoyed the chance to chat with other guests around the breakfast table.

Review 11:Nothing at all

Review 12:Excelent farm with cows, goats etc. Very clean and tidy. No farm-smells, no moskitos. Very natural all around. Room is big and cosy. Excellent for tranquilizing vacation with kids or even without. Quite close to beaches if you have a car and quite far from vacation crowds.

Review 13:poorly located up a gravel road and a bit rough looking from the outside

Review 14:good big well appointed attic type room on the first floor with outlook over flat fields and a pond . A very warm family type welcome and breakfast table.

Review 15:It can be difficult to find. Be sure to arrive in daylight, and don't only print out the directions- print the satellite image from Google so you can orient yourself. The last 1/2 mile or so is on an unmarked gravel road. But so very worth it. Truly an authentic French countryside experience.

Review 16:The setting was beautiful. Pastoral. Eating the scrumptious breakfast outside on a beautiful morning overlooking the fields is a memory we will not forget. Even though it was very remote, it turned out to only be a few minutes' drive to a bustling seaside town- reminiscent of a Cape Cod town. .

Review 17:Warm welcome, quiet farm location, characterful but comfortable accommodation, excellent cuisine

Review 18:Nothing really

Review 19:The location, very nice room, nice breakfast, very good value for money
