Reviews for Hôtel de France Maguy
Review 1:Very small room. Fortunately there was on premise parking so we could leave the larger luggage in the car.
Review 2:It's located two blocks from the waterfront and tourist area. On the other hand the cost was very reasonable.
Review 3:The room is a bit small.
Review 4:Staff was very nice and parking right on site. Location also good. Not right near the port but just five minutes away. You do have to walk up hill to get to it in case anyone has issues with that.
Review 5:Room number 9 is a family/triple room in a separate annex and is so cosy. The beds were very comfortable and the room was decorated really quaintly. The view over Cassis was also great. Would definitely go back!
Review 6:Lipstick stains on the wine glasses put away in the cupboard warned us to make sure to wash all dishes in our apartment before using them. Breakfast had no eggs nor cereal nor meats, though it was an extra charge. No WiFi even in the main hotel area though we were promised it. We really needed it and spent many frustrating hours trying to get it to work.
Review 7:Wonderful welcome. Great location for walking the town. Good travel info. Nice to our dog. We would stay here again.
Review 8:Nothing, would advise booking for parking.
Review 9:Good breakfast included in price comfortable bed clean rooms good value for 2 star very friendly staff/owners postion ideal very quite.
Review 10:There aren't many places to stay in Cassis. We found this hotel on Rick Steves, and Booking.com. We mostly liked it. It is a small family owned and run hotel. The owners are super. Our room was a separate unit near the entrance. It's setup was kind of odd. Looked like an old ships cabin. The bathroom was OK with a great shower, but it located down a step, which we worried about at night. We had a large patio, but it was too hot to use it. The hotel is located above the Casino, and about 2 blocks from the harbor, There are 2 markets near.. Breakfast is really good. Be forewarned. If you arrive by train, the taxis will not take you to the hotel. The payphone has been removes, so you can't call the hotel to pick you up. We were lucky, and caught the bus, which let us off at the Casino. Email the hotel with your train arrival, anf they will pick you up. We did notice that most of the customers had cars. The hotel has a secure parking lot
Review 11:The internet is just a standard house internet. If you don't rely on the internet, then it's fine. I was, so it was difficult.
Review 12:I liked that they are very friendly, and do their best to give you recommendations of good places to eat. As well as this the location is about 3 minutes on foot to the sea front, which was wonderful.
Review 13:The hotel was pleasant and quietly situated about five minutes away from the city center and beach. Although parking here had a fee, the car was in a secured area. The staff (owners) were a very nice couple who were very accomdating, asking us if we needed beach towels when heading to the beach, or quickly fixing a shower soap dispenser that needed repairs, or asking if we needed a wine opener after asking to borrow two wine glasses. We loved this town, its food and people!
Review 14:Location, personal attention from hotel staff,on site parking.
Review 15:None!
Review 16:Franck and Sabrina were great hosts at their convenient hotel.
Review 17:Room was a little tired and the bed was very hard

Review 22:Tiny room. Primitive. WIFI not so good.
Review 23:Wonderful staff. Nice patio. Good location.
Review 24:Nothing. It was a great experience.
Review 25:Thoughtful service; amazingly attentive staff; well designed room; excellent parking; wonderfully fresh croissants. Excellent WiFi connection, View of hillsides from balcony. Easy walk to centreville and gorgeous city beach. Uphill on the return, but worth the quiet of the location.
Review 26:Room was very small but space available put to maximum use. Car parking a bit tricky and best for smaller cars.
Review 27:Small family run B&B with very friendly and helpful hosts. Sabrina recommended and booked excellent restaurants in resort which was only a 5 minute walk away. Even had complimentary aperitif waiting for us on arrival at restaurant!
Review 28:One thing. Wifi didnt work for me.
