Reviews for Appart'City Mulhouse
Review 1:I found hair at the bed sheets and in the bathroom as well. The kitchen was a bit dusty.
Review 2:The room was very spacious, as well as the bathroom. The location was good, very close to the tram stations. Very nice view from the 8th floor.
Review 3:They dont have free internet (2 euros a day) but it doesnt cost so much!
Review 4:Very good value for money! Very clean and spacious. They are a bit out of the center but just outside there is a tram stop, which in 4 minutes takes you to city center!
Review 5:The kitchenette saved all four of us having to go out for an evening meal and breakfast. We had food with us in the car. So for 90 euros for 4 adults a night and no food cost - well probably 10 euros - it was a bargain.
Review 6:Great cheap option if needing accommodation as a stopover while traveling. Staff were super friendly. Place is clean and has everything you need including underground secure parking. Family room is great as main bedroom is separated by wall and door from main room with kitchen / sofa bed and bathroom door.
Review 7:We know it is meant to be an apartment, but with a very small bin there should be daily collection of rubbish. Single room key for a family of four is not well thought!!
Review 8:Easy access, good location.
Review 9:- Smell
Review 10:They tried to impose a Lease Contract for 1 Night Stay!!!' Inacceptable. I did Not sign and was one step away to book an other hotel!! Bed covers smell!!!
Review 11:Sofa bed was used by kids and they reported a good nights sleep however I felt the bed was quite hard when I tested it but typical for a sofa-bed.
Review 12:No Hassle, check-in easy, room was nice and big and had all the things needed for us to prepare meals when we arrived quite late. Sleep was comfortable in main bed. Bathroom was clean, large and modern with a good shower in the bath. Secure parking was an added bonus. The price was great and much cheaper then anything in Switzerland even though very close to the border.
Review 13:Ordered a taxi for us, but the driver tricked us out of quite a bit of money. It was Taxi Francky, Mulhouse Euroairport. We would never want to use him again!
Review 14:Helped us order dinner in--we were very tired! It was a good dinner and we were able to get to bed early and get some rest.
Review 15:Hidden costs, e.g. Wifi in room, and staff didn't mention it costs extra even when giving the code (became apparent when checking out), parking two bicycles cost and arm and a leg, etc...
Review 16:Comfortable, clean room with bathtub.
Review 17:Pity there was no comfortable chairs to relax on, only the bed. Next time we will choose a room with a sofa. No furniture in the balcony. There were no glasses to drink out of, only wine glasses.
Review 18:Room was good. Bathroom spacious. Air con really good.
Review 19:Safe parking, location to walking at a beautiful park, into town, to the market, etc. The facility is new, very clean and the kitchenette has everything you need. the price for all of this is outstanding.
Review 20:Took us a little while to find it and strength of WiFi signal from room was not that great.
Review 21:Size of the room, facilities in the room full kitchen, bed comfortable, onsite parking.
Review 22:We had a room with shower (not bathtub) and a curtain around it. So there was some water spilled on the bathroom floor. We couldn't remove the water from the bathroom (there was no tool there, like a cleaning mop) because the floor was straight and didn't allow the water to drain, and when we had shower inevitable some water (not much) remained on the bathroom floor for a few hours after. But after all this was no big problem.
Review 23:24h reception. Spacious room. Kitchen with fridge, stove, sink, etc. Location - approx 20 min walk from train station. Nice walkway nearby with wild ducks and swans.
Review 24:Caged balcony - good to have an outdoor area but felt like we were in a cage. Needed a table outside at least to enjoy sitting outside for a drink or snack.
Review 25:Self catering facilities. Large room and good bathroom. Once we found it, after a long misdirected walk from the station found the location easy to access from then on via tram. Information at the train station was inaccurate. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Review 26:The ventilation in the bathroom was not working and therefore it was stinking terribly. Hardly we could stay a minute in the toilet because of the smell.
Review 27:Nice staff Modern comfortable rooms
Review 28:That room SMELLED OF CIGARETTES. That I didn't get at first how to lock the door from the outside. That light doesn't switch off with one general switch. That airco doesn't switch off when window is open. Hairdryer was broken. Carpet on floor is unhygenic and smelly. I had to pay a tax on arrival. This should be mentioned in the quote. The same is true for the payment for my pet. The pet should have been calculated in the quote.
Review 29:Friendly night porter. New facilities. Clean room. Location by canal is nice. That I could bring my dog though the price was high compared to the price of the room.
Review 30:Stayed for 5 days and Rooms weren't cleaned daily. No rubbish removed or fresh towels provided daily if needed
Review 31:Great location and rooms are fantastic
Review 32:The hair dryer didn't work, but I told the person at the desk, and they got right on it.
Review 33:Our room was so roomy and comfortable, and the bath was fantastic. We really appreciated the space, the kitchen, the quiet, the air conditioning that cooled but didn't blow directly on us. The location made it very easy for us to get to the train station on the tram, and was within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants, and it was right on a river park that was lovely to walk in. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and able to provide us with lots of information on trams, etc. I expect to look for Appart'City hotels in other venues as well. It was a really wonderful experience for seasoned travelers!
Review 34:Wifi did not work in rooms. Rooms had no air conditioning and the thermostat could not be adjusted. Hotel is poorly signed from the main approach road.
Review 35:Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Spoke good English to help offset my passable French! Nice continental breakfast. Very secure on-site parking.
Review 36:Wifi, breakfast and parking costs extra, when you want all that it isn't that cheap any more. Not the best location. Our room wasn't clean, the staff explained this with a bad cleaner who had been fired that day.
Review 37:Baseprice, place to cook, has all the basics.
Review 38:No real complaints, just minor details: we didn't have enough towels (which I'm sure would have been quickly resolved had we asked - we used our own) and no sharp knives in the kitchen, despite being inventoried (again, we used our own penknife). The pillow was much too big for me, but that's a matter of personal preference.
Review 39:Great position, easily accessible by car, a kilometre out of town, so easily walkable and also right on tram line, making it convenient for the centre, just two stops away. Friendly, helpful reception staff, spacious room, efficient air-con, good soundproofing, and blinds that made the room dark enough for sound sleep. Public car park right next door (entrance just before the hotel) free between 7pm and 9am.
Review 40:We stayed at the standard Studio, which was clean but basic indeed. The size is nice (25 m2), but the beds and bathtub are quite narrow (70 cm). We didn't use breakfast because it looked very basic too.
Review 41:The studio we stayed in is clean (but basic). The staff is friendly and even gave us wifi for free! Public parking is just next to the hotel and is free between 7PM and 9AM. It's a good place if you only use it to sleep. It's close to the highway and a tramstop is nearby that'll take you to the city center in 5 min.
Review 42:We booked a superior apt with balcony. We got a standard apt withoutbalcony. We were told with a 'shrug' that our apt had been givento someone else. When I asked if a confirmed booking thru bookings.commeant nothing I got a shrug. I paid for WiFi and after I had handed overthe money was told it was not working! It didn't work the followingmorning either. We were given 2 breakfast coupons to make up for thewrong apartment but as we left at 6.30am could not take advantage of itas breakfast starts at 7am. We did tell the receptionist that we wouldbe leaving extremely early. Horrible area. I would certainly notrecommend this hotel to a single person - male or female. Do takeadvantage of the private underground parking at 6.90 E. There is a carpark nearby but not secure.
Review 43:Leaving!
Review 44:The bed is too narrow....like emergency bed in hospital.
Review 45:The location is great...just a few minutes walk to city centre. The room is big, clean, and quiet. The pantry is well-equiped but we didn't use it. The mattress quality is good but its size is too narrow. Parking is available on site and free on Sunday.
Review 46:The bed was very uncomfortable and our room with a "view" was just overlooking the busy street. Plus the wifi was horrible, wouldn't ever use it again. My computer and all information got hacked while using the wifi.
Review 47:Great value for money.
Review 48:The single beds were too small and we only had 1 very basic pillow each; we wouldn't pay for WiFi because we believe that this should be included; breakfast was expensive for what what was available
Review 49:The location, parking, apartment size and bathroom were all good; the staff were very helpful
Review 50:We could of be unlucky but the staff member that we were checking in was not polite, non interested and busy with everything else rather er than sorting incoming guests? her information was poor and sound morel like a complain and all in France even we could only communicate in English. Than Wi-Fi was ok but we had a problem with connecting some of our devices and it would require authentication way to often....another inconvenience was that we were given only one "key card" even we asked for two (key card is required for parking access) so another way to make things inconvenient for their guests?
Review 51:Location was great...and place was very clean...
De kamer was schoon. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Voor de prijs zit je hier meer dan goed.
Review 54:We drove round 4 times with the help of a GPS, looking for the hotel, asked 3 people and no-one could help us.... We had an inventory in the room, which when we checked, and things were missing i informed the receptionist.... who said it does not matter ????
Review 55:A very secure car park which is only 6 euros a day..... and our room was secure.....
Review 57:Proper. Goed voorzien. Ligging.
Review 58:to put the luggage or early check-in,even for 1 hour- they charge you by the hour. you have to pay for wi-fi
Review 59:the location is close to the center. easy to get to the basel airport. free parking in the neighbourhood.
Review 60:- the room was for two people but towels was for one person - no room service because of appart hotel they are not cleaining rooms - room telephone was deactivated
Review 61:-location was good
Review 62:the option of having 4 people in a room bring low cost "teams" who stay in the lobby as there is no wifi in the room.
Review 63:new place and clean. 24 hours reception. free crib for the baby. free (19:00-09:00 and Sunday) parking next to the Hotel. 2 km from the center. next to the river. best if U are looking for single night transition.
Review 64:Tricky to find as the apartment hotel did not have easily visible exterior signage.
Review 65:Space and price on the way to the alps. Everything ok. No major issues other than the service flap for the toilets plumbing was removed and besides the toilet. There was also a cracked toilet seat.
Review 66:Ideal for our family of five! Spacious appartment with all the comodities we needed. It was a pit stop during our trip to Paris. The location was very easy to find and the price was affordable. We would do it again!
Review 67:nothing in particular
Review 68:Everything good here, nice comfy modern rooms, very clean. Good kitchen, one of the best appart'city hotels I've been. Would easily come back as I like to come to Mulhouse
Review 69:- Coffeepot instead of normal teakettle - Public parking near hotel, that is free only between 7PM and 9AM.
Review 70:- Small kitchen is very helpful when you travel with kids. - Two commodious separated rooms for parents and children. - Price is fair.
Review 71:Today there is already missed a substantial care. Maybe you missing the dishwasher (like we do) or the shower hose is cracked. Maybe, there is only one towel for 2 people and maybe some guests hanging around at midnight in very casual clothing and barefoot in the lobby - what bothers no one from the staff. Maybe, a power connector depends unmotivated from the wall in your room and really clean is not made in the whole surrounding. And maybe your air conditioning is too loud for a peaceful sleep. Too bad for the money spent! In my opinion: If management does not prevent, the hotel is on the quickest way to becoming a flophouse.
Review 72:It is like new! Not really complete yet but a good concept.
Review 73:The staff did not yield any solution to some problems we had during our stay and we had a disagreement with the total price. They charge us with services we did not received.
Review 74:The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't quite the top when we got in the room for the first time.
Review 75:Good position, away from the traffic and the agglomeration in the centre. Pretty large room, although it has an odd shape. The kitchenette is provided with almost everything one could need. Spacious bathroom. Good wifi signal in the lobby, poor wifi upstairs (the hotel offers cable internet connection in the rooms, however). The staff is OK.
Review 76:Had to ask for enough towels per person, kettle, tea towel even though prerequisite to wash dishes. Dishes had been put away dirty from before.
Review 77:It was cheap
Review 78:wifi only available at the reception, far from train station, unconcerned staff, noisy refrigerator, no double bed (twin beds joined instead and its awful)
Review 79:rooms are spacious and clean
Review 80:The fact I couldn't have stayed longer.
Review 81:We have just spent 12 day traveling around Europe, and stayed in some lovely places, but with value for money, you win hands down, We'll done, and keep up the good work :) Craig Drane Reims 29/10/14
Review 82:It was hard to find the entrance to the car park - I had to drive aroud the hotel, back onto the ring road, and up Avenue Schuman again before I could find it. Also (not the hotel's fault), beware the likely traffic jam at the Swiss border when crossing from France.
Review 83:Ideally placed for visiting the town - there is a tram stop less than 50m from the front door; or the surrounding area - the motorway is only a couple of minutes away. The garage is secure, so no need to unload your car overnight if, like us, you are staying only one night. The staff are ultra-helpful (OK, we speak good French). This was an ideal point for a stopover on a drive from UK to Italy.
Review 84:Although I was not staying in a room with a balcony, when I visited friends that were in one there was no view out. I am glad I booked a room with no balcony.
Review 85:As I was on a cycling holiday the roads outside the hotel and through the town were very cycle friendly, also there were plenty of off road surfaced cycle tracts.
Review 86:Location is misleading if driving from anywhere to the hotel because the street is one way only & it's too near highway exit. People tend to get lost into the highway while trying to get to the hotel. Also dish washer sticks out of the kitchen sink below.
Review 87:The apartment, being new, is clean, nice and comfortable.nice size & nice bathroom for what we paid for. Please indicate would be guests direction from the train station in Mulhouse to hotel. It's, take light train Nos: 1 from station change @ Porte Jeanne stop (2 stops away) the alight Nos: 2 in direction to Novure Bassin but alight @ 2nd stop from Porte Jeanne. The stop to alight at hotel is Rue Lefebvre.
Review 88:Very thin walls, could hear people talking in next room. That, fridge noise and traffic sounds meant very little sleep for me. Extra charge to leave bags when we arrived early - we were not advised of this beforehand - so we felt that was somewhat underhand. The charge was only 1.50 Euro but really we should have been told that at the time. No housekeeping for our 4 night stay, again not a problem but better if advised beforehand, then you know you have to take your own rubbish out etc.
Review 89:Spacious and clean. Kitchen area and equipment sufficient for basic food preparation. Decent sized fridge. Well located, very pleasant park and waterside walk behind the property, tram and bus stops 2 mins away.
Review 90:There was no wifi available in the room only in lounge.
Review 91:We stayed here overnight on our way to Italy. The apartment looked nice at clean. Just a short walk away from the centre.
Review 92:The balcony was useless and a waste of the extra money. There was no rain protection no view and no seating. I was there for a week and my room was not cleaned or serviced. The bath towel was far too small.
Review 93:The kitchen facilities were good but could have done with a kettle to boil water.
Review 94:Would have preferred a kettle, rather than having to boil water in the microwave for tea. Dishwasher not necessary, as washing up for two people was quicker & easier.
Review 95:Everything expected & more was provided with few exceptions. Even provided secure & accessible storage for 6 bicycles.Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were much larger than expected & well insulated from exterior noise. Excellent value for money.
Review 96:Room well-equipped with everything except a kettle!! Us Brits love a cup of tea!
Review 97:Spacious, modern and Clean room Central location and next to Tram Stop Option of either Free Parking or Secure underground parking for a fee Helpful and friendly staff
Review 98:Could have done with more than one towel for two of us. Lamp shades had fallen off and not replaced
Review 99:Good spacious studio with most facilities. Clean and easy stop over. Would stay again.
Review 100:I did not appreciate that our bottom sheet had not been changed from the previous occupant. Also there was only one towel for 2 people. Internet did not work in the room
Review 101:I thought it was a value motel. The staff at the front counter we warm and friendly and helpful
Review 102:The hotel is new and still had some teething Robles. These included air conditioning that leaked and left a puddle on the floor, (although the staff were quick to clear it up). No kettle. The 2 single beds were very narrow, so that one of our children, (15 years old), ended up sleeping on the floor.
Review 103:You could walk into the town centre in 10 mins. There is free parking outside and then additional secure parking in the underground garage at a cost of €11.90 a night. The sofa bed was comfy for 2 people and the rooms were very clean. The kitchen area though small had pretty much everything we needed except a kettle. Free wifi in reception area. There was a separate bedroom with 2 single beds in, then a living area with sofa bed and kitchenette area. Shower was good in the clean bathroom.
Review 104:The fridge was a bit noisy at night as I slept in the living room where the kitchen was.
Review 105:The hotel was very clean and the rooms we had were spacious. The kitchenettes was a great facility. We are a family of five with three young children and we booked two rooms we had on the same floor upon our request. The indoor gated private car park gave us peace of mind as it was fully loaded. We stayed overnight on our way to holiday and on our way back from holiday as we found the hotel very convenient. We definetly would raccomend it.
Review 106:We arrived at midday and asked to store or luggage. We were not informed that there was a charge of €1.50 per piece (we had 5 small pieces) so this made it quite expensive. When I informed the receptionist that we had not been told there was a charge she informed me there were signs everywhere. Eventually found the information in very small print on a wall near the lift with other hotel conditions. I would think it normal practice to inform the guest when checking in luggage. Check in was 3pm but room wasn't ready until 3.45pm. Wifi is advertised as being available in rooms. When requesting the code I was informed it wasn't working. The next day another receptionist informed me that because they only had a limited number of expanders and because they were fully booked they didn't have enough for each room. The twin beds were very narrow. The staff attitude was unpleasant and they were very unhelpful
Review 107:Cleanliness, location
Review 108:nothing
Review 109:cleanliness, spaciousness and good sound insulation of apartment, city view from 8th floor, speed of lifts, obliging staff and very reasonable price.
Review 110:The hotel and the room was not finished at all. First they charge you for a parking garage that has recently been flooded and is covered in white dust that just goes everywhere. The room smells of glue as they installed the carpets recently and the door lock does not work. The air condition is not working, just flashes a bright white light constantly during the night. There was a big stain on the ceiling from where some water went into the room. There was only one towel for two people. No soap or anything else. The hotel system is not working as well. Pay later? They charged my credit card on the day of booking! When you check in, you get a worn-out piece of paper with your name on that you have to give them back when you leave before you drive out with your car. This paper also has the code for leaving the garage. So you better have a good memory when you stay here. If this was a budget deal, I would not say a thing, but they want the full price, so they should offer a full service.
Review 111:The staff was very nice and everybody was smiling.
Review 112:The air conditioning leaked water into the room, although the guy on reception sorted it out straight away.
Review 113:Very practical, not expensive, and right in the centre of town, with ok parking. Very comfortable and spacious.
Review 114:The one way system to access the hotel but was ably assisted by staf to find the right way into site
Review 115:The whole package including the beautiful riverside walk right behind the hotel. Will definitely be going back on next visit to Mulhouse
Review 116:there was not any wifi service in our floor, only an ethernet plug which i couldn't use since i had only a tablet . Nothing else.
Review 117:the appartment were new big and clean, the staff were mostly helpful and it is positioned near the city centre. We were enjoyed from our stay there.
Review 118:We arrived at 14:37 after a long drive. Staff was available but made us wait till minutes before 15:00 Doesn't make you feel really welcome
Review 119:Spacious room, good bed. Kitchen is great to keep stuff cool and make coffee. Could even cook dinner, we went out to eat however
Review 120:- wrong position on the booking.com map (15 minutes away from the true position) - funny locking system - only french tv programms
Review 121:- enough space - modern furnishing
Review 122:15 minutes far from the city center.
Review 123:The room is really big, and installation is modern. We could store our bikes during the night inside the building. Friendly staff.
Review 124:The TV set was out of order. I was offered to switch to another room but having stayed already for 3 days, I did not want to bother with moving for the rest of my stay (5 nights total).
Review 125:Everything
Review 126:Clean, clean and clean
Review 127:Staff excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable and quite.
Review 128:Nearest supermarket is about 800 metres away.
Review 129:About a kilometer from the old city.
Review 130:Proprete.comfort Situation geographic he
Review 131:Long walk to centre ville
Review 132:Quiet and spacious
Review 133:no cleaning and you have to take out the rubbish yourselve
Review 134:Breakfast not included in price.
Review 135:Friendly staff, clean and spacious room included kitchen area.
Review 136:Hygiene was terrible! Blood stains on the sheets of our first room. Plain dirt and mud on the sheets of our second room.
Review 137:no problems great stay
Review 138:Great value and location and friendly helpful staff. Regular trams and buses to central train station.
Review 139:Locks confusing, booking error by them
Review 140:Modern
