Reviews for Hôtel Le Regina
Review 1:Our twin room was at the front of the hotel on a well lit main road and facing the station. Unfortunately there were no proper curtains only nets, so the street lights shone in until around 2.00am and once it was fully light it was also fully light in the room!
Review 2:Good value for money and right opposite the station. The couple who run it were very friendly and breakfast was perfectly adequate for the price. Everything was very clean.
Review 3:The room of fourth floor was very cold. It was quite cold for beginning of May and heating on at tepid. The chamber maid was in a great hurry to have me leave though it was well before time due
Review 4:Simple straight forward hotel with no frills
Review 5:The very old out of date furniture, old cheep lights, missing bulbs, the shower wasn't attached to the wall and the caulking in the bathroom was mildewed. The bathroom left a lot to be desired.Although it was functional. Each floor had a motion sensor light that only flickered on only when you were standing underneath it in the pitch black. That was a little frightening.
Review 6:The hotel was literally across the road from the Poitiers train station. I just rolled my case across the road, checked in and went up to my room in less than five minutes. The hotel is at the foot of the beautiful city, just a short walk up the hill (150 steps) and you are in one of the most beautiful cities in France.
Review 7:It's an old building and so are the interiors (there was rust in the tub, for example). The staff is not too much friendly but acceptable.
Review 8:The position, in front of the railway station. The room and the bathroom are pretty wide. Everything clean.
Review 9:Stairwell was dark and gloomy
Review 10:Basic room but clean and the bed was comfortable.
Review 11:quiet
Review 12:It is directly across the street from the train station. The staff were very nice. The hotel is a good value.
Review 13:Got a room next to the elevator, noise was loud. It is quite old and there is a bit of smell Too expensive for what they offer. Humidity in the bathroom walls and ceiling
Review 14:Staff was very helpful, even if I arrived late they were ready (after I called, truth be told) Location, right across the train station Good WiFi in the ground floor
Review 15:Very poorly equipped hotel rooms and an overall sensation of misere conditions. I generally prefer old local budget hotels to international budget hotels, but in this case I highly recommend nearby international budget accommodation (ibis etc.). Just for example: malfunctioning toilets, non-change of sheets, non-existence of shampoo, cleaning lady entered the room at 9 in the morning with no knocking at the door... I wouldn t recommend this hotel.
Review 16:location in front of the train station
Review 17:Dont go there! Horrible hotel! Everything is old and very very dirty, the rooms are noisy, in general dark atmosphere. Breakfast for 6€ includes a small piece of baguette and an even smaller croissaint, its not even a snack. Dont go there!
Review 18:Avoid this hotel. It is horrible. Dirty and dingy. If we have arrived a bit early we would have looked for alternatives but it was late and needed to sleep somewhere. We escaped!! at 6 am next day.
Review 19:The WiFi barely worked. It is advertised as having free WiFi, but you get given a pass which ticks down 24 hours to last over 2 days. This would be ok, but it didn't stop counting down when you weren't using the Internet. So you were effectively allowed to use the Internet every other day ... but when you were allowed it the connection was dreadful! It worked for around 1-2 mins and then it would stop. I found the staff a bit odd too. The man was OK, but the woman just used to stare at me whenever I walked out or in; and so did the people sat just outside. It made me feel quite uncomfortable. Also, Poitiers is on top of a huge hill and to get to it you walk up around 140 steps ... this hotel is at the bottom of the hill! I thought it was very expensive for what it was.
Review 20:The room was big and comfortable. It was helpful being close to the train station when I first arrived
Review 21:Couldn't fault the Hotel. Poitiers Isn't worth more than a day, I was only there for the airport, which has little to no facilities, the town is expensive and lacking variety.
Review 22:Friendly welcome from pleasant landlady. Had a lift. View from rear window of hill and buildings, I found interesting. Room was just fine for a short stay at the price I paid.
Review 23:Blockage of sink occurs. The lock of door is too simple and not secure at all. No mention of breakfast during the stay. Poor wi-Fi access.
Review 24:Location of just opposite to the Poitiers station.
Review 25:The internet connection was unreliable. It would disconnectautomatically after two or three minutes, sometimes ten or fifteenminutes. I couldn't work. When I tried to ask about getting arefund, the hotelier, who had spoken English the day before, suddenlycould speak no English. But he did insist that the internet connectionwas fine. I got that much from him. Booking.com was very helpful ingetting things all sorted out, I must say.
Review 26:The location.
Review 27:The bed was old and one side was not very comfortable. The only freepower point was coming off the wall so I disconnected the tv and usedthat one. The toilet didn't always flush well.
Review 28:It is conveniently located opposite the Poitiers train station and closeto the town centre. The rate was cheap for France. It was reasonablyquiet and there was an elevator and free wifi. It was suitable for ashort stay only.
Review 29:The room needed refurbishing and importantly there was a significant area of mould on the wall!
Review 30:Poor facilities, dirty, very bad bathroom equipment
Review 31:Very dark hallways till delayed lighting kicked in.
