Reviews for Hotel Bristol

Review 1:We were staying in the new part of the hotel so there is still some construction work going on. However, it didn't really bother us.

Review 2:The room was new and had a great bathroom.

Review 3:Nothing!

Review 4:Everything! Booked a deluxe room and got a suite. Staff were very good and the hotel was not understaffed, which is a trend in many hotel chains now. Private parking instead of public is a big plus in the city center.

Review 5:the building of our room was decorating, had very bad smell.

Review 6:I think the hotel was totally full, they gave us one very big room. have wonderful big bathtube!!

Review 7:For 9.50€ per person, breakfast was a little disappointing. When I stay again, I will go to a restaurant for breakfast.

Review 8:The hotel is gorgeous and even though it's on a busy street, it was very quiet! We stayed in room 337 & it was perfect.

Review 9:No fresh coffee at breakfast - thermos on the table.

Review 10:Nice room, friendly and helpful personal. I requested a quiet room and got it - very important, as the hotel is situated on a main road.

Review 11:Double bed was two beds pushed together

Review 12:Very friendly and helpful staff Huge room with Minibar Great location in centre of Mulhouse Parking Good WiFi

Review 13:Our only complaint was the other guests that chose to talk as they walked down the hallway past our room.

Review 14:We were surprised that our room was fully renovated in a modern style. The bed was king size and very comfortable with nice linen. The bathroom was huge with bath and shower. Parking was behind the hotel and easy to access.

Review 15:Area for going out at night, felt unsafe (if this review is for mulhouse),cost for breakfast should be included in price)

Review 16:Staff,decor,size if room if this review is for hotel bristol mulhouse

Review 17:The room was large and the bathroom incredible. We only stayed one night, passing through so can't comment on the location, but it seemed to be close to a lot of stores and restaurants. Our room was quiet. Breakfast was good, but wish we had ventured out elsewhere for dinner.

Review 18:No bar but this was made up for by the staff who would bring you drinks ordered at reception.

Review 19:Fabulous bathrooms, with Jacuzzis big enough for three people! The staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great.

Review 20:no egg holders at breakfast

Review 21:Very clean! Friendly stuff! We got upgraded from a standart room (80.-E) to a superior room (130.-E)! We can highly recommand room 223 = GREAT! Very quite (all double glazed) and view onto inner court yard. Huge bed (I think at least 2 meters wide!). Brand new matrasse. Wonderful big bathroom with shower AND bath! Seperate WC. All newly renovated. Fast wifi which was included in the rate. Cheap and secure parking with the hotel (only 4.-E per night). Good breakfast for 9.50E which is cheaper then in other places. Only 10min walk to the town centre. Really good location. Around 16 new rooms are being build over the new secure underground parking. I am sure they will be wonderful. My husband forgot his brand new medical pillow at the hotel. We got a call 1hrs after our departure. The pillow will be send to us which we are ever so greatful for. We can definately highly recommand hotel BRISTOL in Mulhouse.

Review 22:Breakfast could be better, still alright though.

Review 23:We got a family room and it was nothing short of amazing considering what we paid, €150. More like an apartment than a hotel room. Jacuzzi, kitchen and a separate terrace (although under construction still). Excellent!

Review 24:No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The view was disappointing off a building site.

Review 25:The hotel was centrally located & easy to find for our overnight stay. The receptionist was helpful. Our room was huge & had a little extra room for 2 of our children. The bathroom had a bath & separate shower & was also a decent size. The breakfast was really lovely lots of choices & the coffee was delicious.

Review 26:It was a very comfortable room with a lovely bed and nice decor. It was quiet, although fairly central and near some reasonable restaurants. There was good secure private parking.

Review 27:Street-side room rather small for 5, and carpet/bathroom getting start to look outdated. Noise from the hallway (people chatting and knocking on doors for early wake-up). The rooms in the newer part are nicer.

Review 28:Room on street side, but no noise to be heard...

Review 29:The hotel was undergoing building work during our stay. This left the rear of the premises was quite dusty.

Review 30:The family room was large and very comfortable. We got a great night's sleep. The staff were very accommodating for dinner when they had a large tour group! The private parking was special!

Review 31:No coffee or tea making facilities.

Review 32:Fabulous family room with lots of space and a fantastic bathroom. Super buffet breakfast. Well located for city centre or tramline to car museum.

Review 33:Location was superb for a stopover en-route back to uk. Very clean andrecently refurbished 'Apartment' for a family of 4. Very helpfulstaff and good breakfast.

Review 34:Such a lovely Hotel. Fantastic recently refurbished family room for 4, with a very ample en-suite. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was an additional cost of 9Eu per adult, but well worth it. Can not find fault.

Review 35:Parking was not practical for anything with more than two doors. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive and not very large.

Review 36:Good price, nice staff, very close to downtown, AC, nice bathroom, peaceful room with Rouladens to keep out light and elevator.

Review 37:The room was very nice, perfect for travelling with our 5 year old. Visiting Basel on the train was very easy, and the prices in Mulhouse are much better.

Review 38:Great service, clean comfortable room. Good stop off point in driving north south in europe.

Review 39:Breakfast quality could be improved for price. Better bread coffe juices etc. but did have fresh fruits.

Review 40:Beautiful Hotel with family feel yet plush rooms and very nice public spaces we stay here on our way to our property in Italy at least 2/3 times per year and have done for several years. The standard has never altered - first class! Bonus = secure parking book early!

Review 41:Efficient yet friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. Mullhouse is a very nice Alsace town (city?) with many medieval features and architecture lots of good restaurants (we have to eat al fresco as we travel with our dogs and yes the Bristol has a limited number of dog friendly rooms which are as superb as all the others wouldn't stay anywhere else in this lovely place.

Review 42:We parked in the underground parking which was under construction. It rained and the cement leaked onto our car damaging the finish.

Review 43:Fantastic staff. Wonderful family room. Great location.

Review 44:I was tricked by the stuff with breakfast. When arrived the guy at reception told me : " breakfast from 6:30 till 10:00" I have told him that I am taking without breakfast ( don't like spending 15-25€ on croissant and coffee ) he said its "included" included for means included in 66€ .... Anyway since it was for free , I had one croissant and a black tea. While I was checking out they have charged me 20€ for breakfast! What a robbery! Of course they guy from night before wasn't there and the lady at reception told me that he probably didn't understand me well. Besides that , the location is quite terrible , especially finding parking , took me 3 rounds to finally get there. Parking is super dirty ( under construction) The rooms were 3* standard some years ago, they need renvation!

Review 45:66 euros , I guess it's ok for 3* hotel , especially in the middle of July

Review 46:The lady who received us when we first entered was friendly all right unless you asked twice...but all of us just can't speak French.

Review 47:Nice and spacey. If for some reason you have to stay in Mulhouse, this is a good choice. A whole cupboard full of jams and marmalades if that tempts you.

Review 48:the dining room for the evening meal was more like a school dining room with no ambience that you would expect from such a nice hotel

Review 49:Very nice Hotel with friendly staff and well situated.

Review 50:Poor lady alone on reception on her first day and a struggle to get into the parking area because of it. Not her fault as she tried her best

Review 51:Room and area

Review 52:Though I had booked a room for the night but had managed to book a day room so had to pay more. Not hotel's fault but feel Booking.com should change details of check in times for day room booking to eradicate any confusion. Building works ongoing

Review 53:Part Refurbished hotel with secure parking. Reason for stay was visit to car museum and this hotel is convenient for that. Breakfast adequate. Staff friendly and helpful.Handy as a stopover hotel as not far from Motorway

Review 54:Dining room

Review 55:The bedroom had been newly refurbished and the bed, plus pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was plenty and very good and evening meal also. The only downside was the dining room which was laid out in long tables which did not provide any intimacy and was rather dark. Close to the old town and within ten minute walk.

Review 56:The staffs in the breakfast restaurant was kind, but the staffs in thecounter was cold (not rude but very unkind.) The bathtub was nice, butthe connected shower was very weak to use. Breakfast was simple. No warmmeal except boiled eggs. Many sweet stuff. Not so good selection ofbread. It has quite good review score, so we expected something betterthan the average, but it is not more than an average 3 star hotel whichis ok, but not great.

Review 57:It has a large comfortable bed, and a big bathtub. It has its ownparking garage which costs only 4 euro per day. Wifi worked well.

Review 58:Small, broken hand shower over bath. Building work on the hotel just outside the window.

Review 59:Huge room with balcony and enormous bathroom with spa bath. Amazing value dinner. Perfect location for Schlumph collection.

Review 60:We left the hotel quite early, and asked the reception if we could have a coffee and croissant. We naively did not rxpect to be charged, but we were: over 10 euros!

Review 61:Friendly and willing to please. A few minutes walk from the shopping area.

Review 62:maybe pillows should be better and bigger, some bath furniture were old and damaged, some extra towel would be appreciated. internal parking was under-construction; this meant access was not possible by the hotel stairs/elevator.

Review 63:good and central location.. good japanese restaurant nearby.. room and bed were large and clean.

Review 64:I had no bad feelings

Review 65:I did like everything, the staff, the hotel, the room, the city. We have an 11 months old baby and any everything what we wished, asked for was completely welcome, and sorted, thank you, thank you and thank you again

Review 66:There is some renovation going on. But we stayed over the weekend and did not heard any nose. So it was not a problem. For more comfort it would be nice to have a direct access from the underground parking to the building.

Review 67:Close to the historic center, underground parking, friendly stuff, good breakfast, comfortable bed, newly renovated bathroom. We stayed in a triple room with a small separate bedroom. It was quite comfortable for our family of four.

Review 68:Our room was huge, the bathroom was amazing, good wi fi signal, hotel is close to everything. Staff was really kind & helpful, would stay again! :)

Review 69:We did like too much thé location of hotel bristol.because you can go to freiburg, belfort, colmar, strasbourg and basel very easily direct from mulhouse.Wè spent 3 nights.beds were good, car Parking was good and Breakfasts were too..Just Heating created a small problem in room ,but really not too important ..solved very fast.

Review 70:The old room was a bit run-down, poor decor and the beds not very comfortable. The common areas not very attractive

Review 71:The renovated rooms nice, with a big bathroom. Breakfast was good.

Review 72:We only stopped one night on our way south so didn't get a chance to explore the town, but the breakfast here is definitely worth the extra charge! A comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

Review 73:Nice and large room, Perfect beds. Breakfast is good. Private parking. Helpfull personell. What more do you want? We stayed here for one night on our way to Italy and liked the location right in town center.

Review 74:We arrived late in the evening to the hotel. Staff immediately prepared food for us even though kitchen was closed. Very nice hotel, staff good and location good.

Review 75:Nice position, difficult to find parking, needed to stop , park and walk back to hotel to get directions to park, great valaue @ €69, no bar, they will bring drinks to reception but no price list, slightly strange restaurant- not cheap not luxurious €68 for 2 with 2 wines, 1 beer would return & eat out

Review 76:Our room was beautiful and spacious. We ate a big dinner in the afternoon, so we were delighted that we were able to order a hearty vegetable soup for a light supper.

Review 77:Whoever renovated this hotel and was smart enough to put in all those outlets...to leave the lobby alone and not change it...to redo the room with lovely new improvements and still have wonderful flower boxes on the window...and add to that the great hotel staff didn't really leave anything I can think of not to like.

Review 78:When we came in it was the wonderful old fashion very clean lobby, Check in was great and we went to our room...the elevator is new and a nice size...the room has be totally redone and extremely clean...wow...the bed was so comfortable...the bathroom has a great bathtub and a separate shower area...electrically outlets everywhere...internet works great...TV new...and a lovely flower box on the window with beautiful flowers. What's not to love. Breakfast was good and the dinner (which we wished we had discovered earlier) was great and reasonable. We didn't find any other great places to eat .The area is ok. The bus stops very close to the hotel or you can walk to 2 blocks to shopping areas and other bus and tram stops. We went to the textile museum (which we highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.)..they also have a car museum and many other things to do in this lovely area. The people at the hotel were wonderful.

Review 79:room thermostat was completely inactive made no difference to room temperature which was so hot and stuffy I had to open the large doors to the balcony all the time. Sleep was bad all night. Fancy bath had a weird plug system, you had to push and hold the overflow button to empty the bath.

Review 80:they are building so car parking was very tight, I consider myself lucky to have found a space every day. My room was newly refurbished, which made a difference.

Review 81:Lots of building work nearby so some noise in the morning.Difficult to find carpark, secured overnight

Review 82:GREAT BATHROOM, walk in shower and spacious, newly tiled Good breakfast, you could boil your own eggs!

Review 83:During the day there was construction but since they are French they stop working very early so not much noise in the evening. One of the staff members was kind of rude (Blond hair woman).

Review 84:Giant bath tub. Comfortable bed. Rain shower. Nicely decorated. Quiet at night and did not hear noise from other rooms. Good Internet connection.

Review 85:There was not much to dislike, but I am not a fan of having to kneel in the bath to shower.

Review 86:Well-run, well located, well sorted and large room with huge bed.

Review 87:Big jacuzzi bath but slow filling and hard to reach tap controls! Hotel recommended a taxi that did not arrive so had to take own car and very late for dinner!

Review 88:Newly refurbished room.

Review 89:Nothing to fault it.

Review 90:This hotel has 4/5* accommodation as in rooms/bathrooms and I can't imagine til be long before it is regraded. I think it needs to consider wider menu options to draw people to stay in but there is a lot of choice of restaurants in the area.

Review 91:Poor shower. No tea and coffee making facilities. Parking was very poor because of building works. Upper floors were very dated with worn out carpets although lower floors looked as though they may have been renovated.

Review 92:Friendly staff. Room was clean. Air conditioning. Comfy beds.

Review 93:Hot water was only warm.

Review 94:Most everything was good - bed was comfortable, place was quiet and a few minutes walk from the City Centre. Parking readily available. People friendly and helpful, and spoke English as well as French.

Review 95:The family room is small (3 beds). It says noisy outside through the night so sleeping with the windows open wasn't possible.

Review 96:A big plus were the airco and the free WiFi. It's centrally located. The breakfast is good but expensive. Parking (payed) at the back of the hotel behind a gate.

Review 97:The wifi was very slow. There seemed to be a construction site next door. As we were there on a weekend there was no noise for us but may be an issue for people who intend to stay during the week. We couldn't get the spa to work.

Review 98:We are a family of four and stayed in a quadruple room. The room was great! Very spacious and newly renovated with a double bed, one single bed, and a table and chairs in the main bedroom and a smaller separate bedroom with two single beds, plus a large bathroom with a spa. Perfect for our family. We were in Mulhouse to see the Tour de France and the Orica team and TVFrance were also staying there. Despite being busy the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to both the finish line and the start line the next day. It is also very close to the old town centre. The Hotel Manager gave us very precise directions and seemed to just appear when we we went the wrong way!

Review 99:There was no much going on in Mulhouse as a place.

Review 100:I have a gluten allergy and always carry my own bread and cereals when going abroad. The hotel went out of it's way to provide me with bread, cereals, rolls and cakes all gluten free. We ate at the hotel every night and whilst it did not have a fantastic menu, there were about four different choices each course and each one was presented well and the staff got the chefs to adapt each dish served to me. All the staff were very friendly and went out of there way to help us, the hotel was very busy with coach trips arriving every day but everything was handled efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely spacious room on the fourth floor, very clean and no complaints at all. I would gladly recommend the Hotel Bristol to anyone traveling to Mulhouse.

Review 101:The jacuzzi in our bathroom did not work. Based on some of these reviews, we did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Review 102:The front desk clerk was kind and spoke English. We had a family room for five people. There was a spacious main room and a little bedroom with two twin beds in it. The hotel is convenient for shopping and the old town area, as well as within walking distance to the automobile museum. Parking was convenient, though crowded.

Review 103:The car park and underground garage were literally a building site with building dust on all the cars parked there, due to an extension being built. The hotel had been specifically chosen for safe parking of our convertible sports car, and we were asked to leave the key, so that the car could be moved as necessary for the construction work. The staff could not offer an alternative arrangement and we eventually paid for three days undercover parking in a near by shopping complex at considerable cost. There was not a "Guest Information Pack" available in the room, nor any details of the evening meals in the Restaurant. The breakfast was not worth the charge and at best variable in quality, e.g. there were no boiled eggs available on the third day and the venue changed location each day, with no indication which area was to be used. This Hotel obviously caters for coach parties to the disadvantage of the car traveller. Although close to the city centre, it was just in the less desirable quarter. Would we stay there again - definitely not.

Review 104:The Junior Suite was superb & clean.

Review 105:Charming older-style hotel with great-sized family room and very friendly staff.

Review 106:Too hot in room

Review 107:Superb price and quality room

Review 108:Large comfortable room. Very friendly staff.

Review 109:Best location to the center of Mulhouse. And staff is very kind and can speak English.

Review 110:The rooms were well appointed with comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms Minibar was good but no tea/coffee making facilities

Review 111:Very wide room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast.

Review 112:no canal tv/english tv

Review 113:Parking under hotel, not many spaces, but we did ok. good location for visiting. nice wet-room shower

Review 114:a group of noisy teenagers staying the night

Review 115:The garage under the hotel.

Review 116:we were given a room upgrade at no cost. fabulous room. very secure car parking. excellent recommendation for restaurant for dinner from reception.

Review 117:Awful wi-fi connection: very slow and disconnecting every few minutes !!!!

Review 118:Quiet and comfortable room, professional staff

Review 119:We were offered an upgrade again which we really appreciated. Lovely room and bathroom. Short but very enjoyable stay.

Review 120:Location on a busy corner

Review 121:The suite was SPECTACULAR!

Review 122:Very clean and pleasant hotel. Great value for money

Review 123:Well run and managed hotel

Review 124:Rooms were very well appointed. Wifi was excellent.

Review 125:Great location and handy car park

Review 126:Some construction work ongoing.

Review 127:The hotel room was very nice. Lots of space and well appointed.
