Review 1：Our confirmation informed us that we could check in at 12 noon. That was not the case, 3pm we had to wait until. Arrived at room, sofa broken - arm broken off, ran water in bathroom it was brown then no water at all. Went and informed reception staff that did not seem interested in the complaint but sent someone round. He told us he would be back shortly with another sofa arm and to sort the water out. 2 hours later we were still waiting. I went to reception again and they informed us that we had to change rooms, so we had to pack all our stuff up and move rooms. We were self catering not room only and did not even have a kettle to make a drink( 20 euro to hire one for the week)NO! Room only yes, not self catering!! In the mornings, we stood at the bar area to buy a coffee when breakfast was on and waited a good 20 minutes each time but no one came to serve us, it seemed unless you were all inclusive, staff wasn't bothered. The beautiful chill out area looking out to the sea that is advertised on website where you can sit is NOT available to you as it is security coded. I asked at the bar I we could have the code to which the bar tender replied, no it is not for use, it does not belong to the hotel and you cant even pay extra to sit in it. Lovely false advertising there then! I would not stay or recommend this aparthotel, ohh and last but not least, get used to the cockroaches, they are that big they wear trainers and they're in their plenty! I have been to Lanzarote 4 times and never seen so many in one place, perhaps they have a problem!!

Spacious room, balcony, but not very clean. cleaning service means cleaning ashtray. during 6 days towels changed once. very small piece of soap and 2 sachets of shampoo. Hairdryer 4e/day, kettle 4e/day. Option half board means, entitled to coffee or tea for the breakfast, no soda or juice (don't even try it), NOT entitled to coffee or tea for dinner. All inclusive means, you got extra meal and drinks. for everything else need to pay as above. Only few comfy sunbeds, reservation not allowed, but all reserved early morning, service doesn't care. you late, you have to rent a mattress, 4e/day. Way to expensive for what they offer.

Review 10：Our apartment 184 was very tired looking and the sofa bed in the lounge was so uncomfortable as the springs had gone. When we arrived we had to ring reception to ask that a draw be cleaned as we found a sticky yellow liquid in the bottom of it in our bedroom. When he arrived I explained to him that we also had two blown bulbs in our apartment lounge which he returned and replaced. so much for checking an apartment before new guests check in. I found ants running around sharing our apartment and they also visited me in my single bed on the first four nights, as the sheets were only changed after four days. After the sheets were changed I guess these ants were seen as after that I didn't see or feel them again to be fair. We had to purchase a code from a machine to watch any tv and again I had to call this spanish man as I couldn't get the bloody thing to work! He did get some english stations but not all that was advertised, but as his english understanding was not good there was little point in trying to tell him. The reception staff we had contact with we found to be really not interested in going out of their way to be helpful. We were given a leaflet about a western show night and it said ask reception to book it for you. We tried but the man we spoke to told us to ring them ourselves? On our last night we went for a meal on the beach leaving by the beach entrance on our return we found this door locked and a code needed to open it. We had to walk round to the front of the hotel and when I told reception their reply was you should have asked for the code? Surely that code should be in the information pack along with all other things about the hotel. The Hotel also had a special type of client that had their own sunbathing area and also received far better customer service than the rest of the clients at the this hotel. These statements and faults found are such a pity as the location is spot on
Review 11：Breakfast being buffet style was plentiful and although it was much the same each day there were many choices to be picked each day and the waiter and waitress staff were always pleasant and friendly every day.
Review 12：Lack of sun on apartment balcony, morning and evening. Evening meal choice was generally poor. lots of flies in dining room, landing on unprotected food in the serving area. Table cloths not changed or hygienically cleaned when new diners use tables at meal times

TV , wifi (35 euros a week ) fans , sunbed cushions , fans ,safe,kettle etc .All available at a cost ! Main bar closed . No entertainment . Food bog standard with little choice . My friends stayed at the Sol apartments and paid less but didn't have to hire anything every thing was included in the cost . Reception spent all their time shuffling people from room to room when they arrived as not happy . To get a better room with sea view you had to pay extra !

Review 20：When I arrived, there was a group of other English there and the police were in attendance. I was herded with them into a taxi and taken to another Blue Sea hotel in costa Tequise. When there, a very rude receptionist told me that I was in the wrong place. she then called a cab and told me that I had to pay to get back to the original hotel! Outrageous and shows that some care needs to go into who gets to be a receptionist in Lanzarote.
Review 21：The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. It was delicious and a large selection of items.
Review 22：I had requested an upper floor with sea view. On arrival were allocated a ground floor by small pool and no sea view! Ended up paying an upgrade to get great room overlooking sea and big pool. In last four days Relaxation ruined by 'entertainment' staff member putting on speakers and repetitive rap music from 1130 to 4.30 around pool . How to spoil a beautiful location ! Also I ended up on crutches on day one and despite asking days in advance could we pay to keep ours (or any room)on til later than normal on check out, the reception were not helpful in the circumstances and said there was not one room ( out of 99!!) free that I could use even though I offered to pay. We were out of room at 1030am and had to hang around with crutches and luggage until 7pm just using general communal courtesy room for a shower, which was slippy dark and awkward in the circumstances. I saw other rooms where new occupants had still not arrived and were empty as we left . I believe they could have been far more helpful.

Review 24：Breakfast: to offer fresh juices and more types of fresh fruits. Despite being more a family and calm hotel, Impolite people reach any place on earth. On my last night, at 1 am a group of them was jumping into the swimming pool and screaming like they were in a crazy party in their house. At 4 am, a couple decided to have a fight just next door of my room. It was such a noise I thought one was killing the other. I had to call the reception twice. The staff reacted immediately for both events, fixing the situation. Suggestion: Remind all guests of proper manners while their staying - unfortunately some people simply do not respect others. I do know it was not the hotel's fault. The chilling area: guests could use it or book it at the hotel rather than via a German travel agency only.
Review 25：It was more than I expected. It is not faraway from the airport. I spent 20 euros on a one way trip. It is possible to take a bus which runs every 20 minutes, however it is necessary to go to Arrecife, then other bus. It takes a lot of time. I would suggest to rent a car as there are good deals online and it can be useful if you want to explore the island. I got a room with a beautiful view to the swimming pool and to the sea. While having shower, I could enjoy the beautiful view! That was amazing! Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 36：The cleanliness of the apartments wasn't great, I'm not a cleaning freak so I wasn't too bothered and I can only put this down to over-stretched staff however, laundry was changed for us without issue when we noticed towels that weren't as white as they should be. Can't really complain though with such a good price for the room.
Review 37：It was practically on the coast and right in the centre of the resort and its bars and restaurants. The layout is great, two pools though not all rooms have a sea or pool view so do request this if you can. I stayed self catering so can't comment on the food and drinks though I noticed they did stop serving all inclusive at 10pm.

Review 51：Everything else!! Our apartment was desperately in need of refurbishment. The furnishings were very old and tatty. There were broken and chipped tiles throughout the room, the bathroom was a complete disaster...cigarette burns on the shower curtain, constantly dripping taps, and rusty brown water when the shower was initially turned on. Again chipped and discoloured tiles and a general air of dilapidation. The kitchen facilities were non exsistant to the point where even a kettle is considered an optional extra and incurs a local charge. When we asked why there was no kettle or even a pot suitable for boiling water we were told by a male staff member "what do you expect for the price you paid". We asked if we paid an additional fee would it then be possible to get a better room but were told that as we hadnt booked through a specific German tour operator we basically had to make do with what we were given!!! In my opinion this property should stop advertising for independent travellers (as they really dont want to accommodate them) and stick instead to their all inclusive package deals from central europe.

Review 57：The receptionist took ages to check us in, and kept dealing with other people who came after us, before she dealt with us. There was no double bed and the glass patio doors were not secure. The television did not work, and no one fixed it although we asked 3 times. The apartment was self-catering, but was very poorly equipped: no oven, grill or microwave; only 2 rings for cooking, and the rings were too small for the frying pan to fit on to them, almost no implements for cooking. Even basic things had to be paid for separately, e.g. kettle, toaster.

Review 64：After reading some of the reviews we nearly change our minds but decidedto brave it,On arrival on Sunday 26/08/12 at 10.30pm very tired andhungry we were met with a warm reception and found our rooms 238/239very easy,our request of having our rooms together were met.They wereboth clean with towels and toilet rolls,at no time did we see any antsor cockcroach and we stay in and cook meals several times.We stayed for1week our rooms were cleaned 3 times by a lovely lady whoe had a smiledespite sweating from working very hard and not been able to speak orunderstand us all the staff we came across were very helpful andcheery.The grounds of Costa Teguise Beach hotel were in tip topcondition very clean with bins in certain areas which were emptyregular.We cannot comment on the food as we ate out and did some cookingof our own something we like to do.The pool was clean every morning wehad a lovely view from our balcony.At night it was very quiet andpeacful.If any one have doubts about costa Teguise fear not better stillcheck out room 238/239.One word sums up Costa teguise for me and that isserenity,i will be back.

Where I have stayed before this has alwaysbeen standard (for the same price of hotel) and I think they should beincluded free. I do understand paying for hairdryer, or even the tv, butI think an essential item like a kettle, should be included.I did also email the hotel before I came to find out if there was a kettle included, but I got no answer from them. Luckily I bought my own travel kettle. The doors to the balconly in our apartment were very hard to close, luckily my partner is strong, but if I had come on my own I wouldn't have been able to do it. (apartment 223) Sorry another thing that annoyed me was in the 'Rules', it states no reserving of sun loungers around the pool, but I saw lots of people do this, and lots of towels out at 7am, and I think you should enforce this rule, and if anyone puts a towel on a sun lounger at 6am, it should be removed. Apart from that, all good, loved it.

Review 71：I came for four days to do a surf course in Famara (the other side ofthe island to Teguise). The location and value for money is reallyexcellent. It is a completely self catering hotel though, as the onlything they provide is towels, so be prepared to pay a little extra ifyou want a toaster, tv or to rent a deck chair by the pool and bringwashing up liquid etc if you don't want to buy it there. If you don'tmind this or don't want any of this stuff, which I didn't, then it'sfantastic value for money, clean, right next to the beach and with twonice pools. Ask for a room overlooking the beachside pool. It is in thetourist zone but it's tucked behind some other hotels so quiet, even onthe weekends. So if you get a good price and are on a budget but like'resort' style hotels, this is great.

Review 77：One girl begin the main counter just did her job and didn't really seem to care that much, which is a pity because the other was just fabulous. The couches in the living room were quite old, the bathroom was quite moldy, the shower-curtain should be replaced and the same goes for the mattresses. At this moment I would only recommend it on the price and would tell friends what to expect for that price.
Review 78：The resort is nice, with clean and spacious pools and the grounds are well maintained. One of the girls behind the main counter was absolute fabulous and very service oriented. We also enjoyed the fact that there is a tennis court. The rooms were nice, but could use some renovation. We had a good time at Blue Sea, but if they would just improve the bathrooms and the mattresses we would give it a much higher recommendation.
