Reviews for Hôtel Central
Review 1:It was very noisy at night. being a Thursday night it was hard to get sleep.
Review 2:It was a very comfortable room and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the square.
Review 3:The bed was a little bit too soft for me, though still OK.
Review 4:Very central, next to perfect restaurant and parking at Hotel de Ville. Ideal for one-night stopover travelling to/from Spain.
Review 5:Fantastic room with balcony. Asked for rooms beside each other and they happily obliged. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the centre of Poitiers on a perfect morning.
Review 6:nothing
Review 7:lots of restaurants around the square, bars and cafe`s, shops and car parking available around the corner of the hotel good for a promo-made in traffic free area also close to the main railway station to Paris
Review 8:I was disappointed that I asked specifically for a quiet room, knowing the location of the hotel and was given a room overlooking the main square by the Hotel de Ville.
Review 9:Friendly, attentive staff. Clean, comfortable room - enough for me visiting my son at University in Poitiers. Could have done with tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Review 10:We were tossed out of our small room into a broom closet when the "true" occupants of our room showed up. A very bad experience; we won't be going back.
Review 11:Renovation is superficial, bathrooms unventilated, rooms tiny and stuffy, bad noise insulation, you can hear voices from other rooms etc
Review 12:Central, friendly, modern decor
Review 13:When you've been travelling all day The last thing you want to do you have to walk distant with your suitcases to a hotel lovely location but very difficult to find and get I would not recommend it to anybody
Review 14:Tired bathroom. Slightly tricky WIFI. Some street noise on Saturday night.
Review 15:Right on the town square. Great balcony. Friendly staff. Nice enough room. Good value.
Review 16:- very nice reception - recently refurbished - room a bit small but in very good state and very nicely furnished - located directly facing market square
Review 17:It was a hot night and the square was busy with parties. We either overheated with the window shut or couldn't sleep because of the noise outside. But this is all part of being located in the centre of things. Parking was no problem for our two motorbikes, but might have been a bit less convenient if we had a car.
Review 18:Lovely building right on the main square. Nice people. Good room.
Review 19:Somewhat complicated with no night staff, but not excessively so.
Review 20:Lovely room, lovely staff, excellent location
Review 21:Very small lift, claustrophobic even.
Review 22:Good location
Review 23:Very, very noisy
Review 24:It is very central
Review 25:Our room, 32, had a balcony (chairs and table included) with view on the city hall. Lovely! Clean room.
Review 26:nothing to dislike.
Review 27:Great location. Nice well presented rooms. For the price it was great.
Review 28:Well located, clean and comfortable, good value for money. Ideal for an overnight stay

Review 30:Parking isn't easy, Suggest parking under the Hotel Ville as its cheap, but tricky to find.
Review 31:Location, breakfast, style, friendly staff.
Review 32:No parking No way to localize the Hotel Noisy Place No room for breakfast

Review 35:Fabulous position there was a concert being staged in front of the hotel so wonderful position!!!!
Review 36:Wifi Local to many restaurants
Review 37:A lot of noise in the square on the night we visited from student's starting at University. Not hotel's fault.Previous stay was quiet.
Review 38:Location,looks over the square, modern, comfortable.Great view from our small but very pleasant balcony.Good breakfast.Near to car park, bars, cafes and restaurants. Also old town and beautiful gardens.
Review 39:The room was extremely small. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but is only available at 7am and 10am.
Review 40:The location was perfect - and parking was just around the corner 6 Euro for overnight.
Review 41:We booked a 'comfort' room, described as "spacious with a large bed" and we asked for a room with a balcony. It was not pointed out however that the 3 balcony rooms are very small. Ours (no 33) was particularly badly laid out so v cramped for 2 people and only had a standard bed. We'd have been better off with a non balcony front room, which still had a great view but much more space.
Review 42:Fantastic location. Nicely designed and spotlessly clean.
Review 43:Cant think of anything.
Review 44:The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to assist our attempts to speak French and they also looked after our luggage for several hours after we had checked out. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the square was beautiful.
Review 45:My train from Paris was late and I didn't arrive at Poitiers until 8:30pm - and was concerned I might not get to the hotel before reception closed at 9:00pm. However, it was only a 10 minute walk up the hill so I arrived in time.
Review 46:The best thing was my room; the balcony overlooking the square was wonderful. I also liked being able to walk to the hotel from the station and then to be able to get to all parts of the city centre on foot (it was right next door to the City Hall where I had meetings on two days).
Review 47:Breakfast disappointing Sharp edge on bedside table Bathroom sink design malfunction
Review 48:Lovely modern design Great views & location Comfy bed, big room, bath
Review 49:-Noise at night- from young students/revellers in the square, till about 3-4am... -we couldn't get any hot water from 5pm-midnight on the first day -The bathroom- more like '2 cupboards behind sliding doors' (one the sink/shower, one the loo) -Very compact room- toilet cubicle right at foot of bed-not very pleasant -bathroom window facing the front had no blind/cover- people on next door balcony could see right in! We complained & the next day a strip of transparent film was put over window... Radiator just tepid- we tried to increase temp. but nothing happened
Review 50:-Location: right in the main square -Clean & well-decorated -Crisp clean bedlinen -Spacious balcony with table & chairs- would have been nice in summer
