Reviews for Pierre & Vacances Les Bergers
Review 1:Limited parking at times.
Review 2:Bikes allowed in the rooms. Raclette in the hotel restaurant is very good! Well priced. Short ride/walk to lift station.
Review 3:Ski lockers are small.
Review 4:Staff friendly and helpful. Location to the ski lifts excellent . Lovely views from room and the outdoor pool was great after a days skiing. Good value budget accommodation
Review 5:Kids had bunk beds which was fine but adults had a pull out bed in the living room. Didn't mind though as good price. During our stay the lift broke several times but they did not seem to be able to fix it. 5 flights of stairs was not fun!
Review 6:This accommodation is in a great location, walking distance to slopes, supermarket and restaurants, sometimes ski to door. The apartment was clean and had lots of equipment in the kitchen and plenty of storage. It had lovely views from a south facing balcony. The kids loved the outdoor heated pool and the bar area in the evening was very family orientated. All in all it is good value for money and this is our second visit.
Review 7:I paid £300/night and had to make up our own beds. I think none peak times value might be ok but for the money I paid I've never felt so ripped off. The kids were on bunk beds and my wife and I on the most uncomfortable sofa bed I've ever not slept on. Will not be staying again. £100/night ok-NOT £300
Review 8:Reasonable amount of space and close to slopes/ ski lifts. Staff friendly enough.
Review 9:Six male adults in a room that would have been more suitable for four. A little cramped but we kind of knew what to expect from previous experience.
Review 10:Good overall value for money & good location for slopes.
Review 11:Old tiny rooms, nothing like the pictures Got skis stolen from the locker room Staff not helpful at all Location is ok for skiing, otherwise too far away
Review 12:We were under the impression that the room we ordered had more beds than we given. Had to change our room and pay extra when we realised it was unsuitable. We still maintain the description on our invoice was more beds, but it seems this was a translation problem.
Review 13:Location great. Good bar on reception level.
Review 14:Receptionist doesn't speak English. There is no cleaning service. You have to buy your own toilet rolls. Had to wait 6hours for accommodation because room was cleaning, and still wasn't clean when we got in. Isn't a hotel is rather room to rent service.
Review 15:Studio for 3-4 people was actually good enough just for two of us. Not enough storage capacities for more than two people, there was a sofa, but hardly good for one. Two beds in tiny room without window and no furniture was not what would expect. Matress quality was bearable.
Review 16:Swimming pool and sauna in the hotel. Kitchen area was ok, bathroom was ok as well.
Review 17:Beds were way too small and very uncomfortable. Glad only stayed 2 nights. Iam 6'2" and my feet hung off the end of the bed. Had to make up beds upon arrival and strip bedding when leaving. Room was located on basement level, very smelly!! Had to pay for wifi, odd check in and check out times. Wanted to leave at 8am as we had a full days driving ahead of us but had to sit and wait in reception area until 9am to return key EVEN though staff was on the desk at the time but was not officially open. Reception staff unknowledgable of locations of local shops. Not very helpful.
Review 18:Location
Review 19:No bike storage facilities, had to wheel them through the room and store them on the balcony.
Review 20:The value was really good, quiet location, pool and sauna.
Review 21:Noisy neighbours, lack of information about check in times before arrival.
Review 22:Good location close to local amenities
Review 23:staff not very helpfully or informative
Review 24:Clean, good swimming pool, good location, good facilities in room
Review 25:Price and access to slopes.
Review 26:Convenience to slopes
Review 27:Needs updating, was too small for four people not 4 star more like 2 star
Review 28:Location was great
Review 29:Uncomfortable beds
Review 30:Very close to the ski lifts and supermarket
Review 31:The room furniture & equipment. The pool & sauna.
Review 32:Rooms not big enough for number of people suggested. Need to upgrade in order to have a separate bedroom
Review 33:Location to ski lifts
Review 34:The room we lived in needed a makeover.. It's worn out!
Review 35:The kids liked the pool, a lot.. ;)
Review 36:The bed was to small and uncomfortable kept hitting the wooden frame.
Review 37:The view.
Review 38:Beds and pillows very uncomfortable - back and neck ache every day.
Review 39:Good location for the slopes, nice clean bathroom with decent shower. Reasonable value for money. Nice swimming pool
Review 40:mud in the front of the hotel and you bring it to the hotel and to your room, very narrow ski-locker. building C does not have access to the pool, sauna and other hotel facilities so you have to walk 30 metres through the mud
Review 41:very close to chairlift, plenty of space in the room, good kitchen
Review 42:Not ski to door in March/April but can see it would be in winter. Didn't like the storage facilities for skis etc. very cramped space and not easy to use.
Review 43:We booked for one week with two children. The accommodation was ample size for our needs although we may have preferred a proper bed rather than a pull out sofa bed, it was very comfortable. The apartment and kitchen were remarkably well equipped. The location was great for the slopes and we enjoyed the bonus of the outdoor heated pool and sauna at end of the day. The supermarket and restaurants were all within easy walking distance as was ski hire and school. Parking was easy. We would recommend and we are looking to book again for next year.
Review 44:Staff were poor. You have to clean before you leave. They charge you forthe safe. Location is the furthest from the ski lifts where groups andbeginner school meet.
Review 45:It was relatively clean - I did find someone else's boxer shorts inthe apartment the day we moved in - questioned the cleanliness...
Review 46:The internet connection was absolutely bad... you have to pay for internet for each device separatly. The hotel wanted the money for the hole stay in advance, although it was written something else in the confirmation I got from booking.com. The hotel is far from the center.
Review 47:close to the slopes
Review 48:Ski-room was like from ancient times and actually I wonder how 6 peoplecan keep skies in one ski-box like this. No heating in the ski room, soif you need to dry you shoes, you should take it to your room. Wi-fi wasnot as perfect as discribed - they charge for it, though signalreception was really very poor and not permanent. The best signal was inthe ski room. When I complained of that, lady at the reception offeredme to come to the reception - then please indicate it that wi-fi ispermanent at the reception and don't charge for that. One sauna wasclosed and another was cold and the lady from the massage cabinet toldus that it's not her area of responsibility.
Review 49:Good location. Restaurant in the lobby, so you can choose either to cookby yourself or to go the restaurant. A bar just in front of the hotel, and even though a lot of young people gathered there in the evening itwas quiet (at least no noise was heard in the room). Open swimming poolwas really nice advantage after day of skiing.
Review 50:Late night, early morning noise, mostly from young and drunk northern Europeans.
Review 51:Staff and Kristina especially were absolutely fantastic and very obliging.
Review 52:Poor design of the bath/shower meant a lot of water spilled onto bathroom floor. The other P&V in the village centre is better value for money.
Review 53:Convenient location, close to ski lifts and local bus stops.
Review 54:Great place to stay at a good price in a wonderful summer mountain resort. Very well priced. Great base for adventure sports. Pool was a feature for relaxing swim and sunbake.
Review 55:Room !! Beds not ready to sleep We had to Pay for the normal thingsin a bath room. 30 euro ..... ..... the steak in the restaurant wasnot to eat
Review 56:Nothing Reception close at 8 in the morning..??? Waiting one hour forthe key Baddest hotel I ever had
Review 57:Lack of cleaning and servicing of room. No maid service whatsoever. Also best part of alpe d huez is up the top. Bergers is quiet so no nightlife.
Review 58:View and location for lifts and gondolas
Review 59:The hi-speed wifi was pretty useless, it dropped out every 30 seconds. The beds weren't very comfortable. The location map for Pierre andVacances in Les Bergers is wrong, it shows it in the town, consequentlywe pre-booked our ski hire a long way from the hotel.
Review 60:The staff were very helpful and polite, including those in therestaurant. The place was very clean, well maintained and asuperb location. The appartment was spacious and well appointedwith a fantastic view. The location is ideal for the pistes andthe ski lessons.
Review 61:There was nothing at all about the accommodation that we did not like. The location for some may be a bit quieter - it is not quite in thecentre of town where all of the bars / restaurants are, but this wasperfect for us as there was enough around. There was also an excellent, local supermarket nearby - better than the chain supermarkts !
Review 62:We were really impressed with this place. The rooms were a lot nicerthan I had expected from the photos I had seen; very modern, light andairy. The rooms were equipped to a really high standard - we hadabsolutely every utensil you could ever require such as a corkscrew, salad spinner and various pots and pans. I also really appreciated thesmall pack they provide you with containing a few dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cloths etc. We were 2 people in a 3-4 person studiowhich worked really well as we had a lot of biking clothing andequipment. The price was what I would expect to pay for a smallerapartment. The pool overlooking the mountains was excellent to chill outby in the sun and it was nice to have a balcony.
Review 63:Apartment little dated and beds could have been more comfortable. No instructions for oven or dishwasher.
Review 64:Very close to Ski tows. Super view to mountains from 2nd floor room. Food available if required in resturant or takeaway pizza.
Review 65:we had a great time, the location was perfect for the Les Bergers ski area. with the right snow conditions you can ski to the locker room. we had no problems with the room which was more than adequate for a family of four. i would recommend this hotel to any one.
Review 66:Broken glass on the balcony which we asked them to clean up. They came and swept some of it up but missed a few pieces!
Review 67:A sofa bed in double room is not ideal for couples.
Review 68:Located in Bergers, near the facilities and ski lifts.
Review 69:Smell of smoke in the room. Poor cleaning and not at all like in the pictures!
Review 70:Location OK
Review 71:Noise from other guests
Review 72:Excellent location and clean apartment
Review 73:poor quality wi-fi
Review 74:very helpful girl at Reception, Kristina good room size and nice view
Review 75:A good location for walking and cycling The pot and pans good quality. We had a good room overlooking the the pool nice sunny balcony..
