Reviews for Cleifiog Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:Having to leave

Review 2:We booked this B&B as we were attending a wedding near by. It was just lovely. Jill the owner couldn't do enough for you. Even had hot water bottles in the bed for us as it was an exceptionally cold night. I think. Would definitely return.

Review 3:Would of liked breakfast a little later, but this is nt a bad experience, just a preference.

Review 4:Overall everything, the views, the airy bedroom, the bed, the bathroom. And the hostess. Lovely place.

Review 5:Gill the owner is an excellent host she has a beautiful house. It is impeccably clean, really stylish and comfortable. The breakfast was superb, our stay was perfect, I would recommend this to anyone.

Review 6:Wi fi doesn't work in bedroom. although website states it works in all areas. Bedroom was cold when we arrived. they could have put mobile heater on prior to arrival.

Review 7:Very pleasant owner. lovely location and facilities and breakfast first class.

Review 8:We had a brief honeymoon break here in December, Beautiful B&B, the owner was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was outstanding, beautiful view from the Tapestry room, fantastic place and would definitely recommend and return in the future.

Review 9:I have to say that this guest house is exceptional. Every attention to detail has been considered. Absolutely outstanding from comfort, the room, the breakfast the list goes on. Booked for one night and stayed for two! Fantastic!!

Review 10:Every little detail was covered. Lovely welcome with tea and biscuits. Any requests we made were no problem. Very friendly owners. Beautiful interior and amazing views from the room. Very tasty breakfast which filled us to the brim. Would certainly recommend and return.

Review 11:Beautiful place, lovely old world charm. Very pleasant owners and a lovely welcome. Greeted with a pot of tea and biscuits by a roaring fire. Invited to relax and dry off. Rocommend highly, we will stay again.

Review 12:Our room had a wonderful panoramic view of The Menai Strait with mountains in the distance. Our host Gill was very friendly and chatty, cooked a great breakfast with more than enough extra's on the table, yogurt, fresh fruit etc.

Review 13:Nothing.

Review 14:The room was better than expected and was done out with thought for the buildings heritage, even down to a section of preserved Mattle and daub from the original structure above the bed. The owner was responsive and charming and the whole stay was lovely. The breakfast was very nice with the scrambled eggs a must. All in all a lovely stay from the building to the reception. Would highly recommend if you want cleanliness, style and are bored with the sameness of the premier inns.

Review 15:Nothing. We were there in November when the first snows came on the mainland, so like most old buildings it could have been cold, but the heating and extra electric radiator already in the room did the trick we were cosy.

Review 16:The location is brilliant, the front windows have views across the straits and its 2 minutes walk to the High Street. We were really made welcome and great care was taken to please us. The room was actually much bigger than they look in the photos on line. We would really recommend Cleifiog

Review 17:Lovely welcome, superb accommodation, great location - all in all the best bandb we have ever stayed in. 5 star establishment. We will return for another visit and recommend you to our friends and family. Many thanks Gill and staff for a wonderful stay.

Review 19:Nothing

Review 20:Everything - wonderful warm, friendly welcome from Jill with a cup of tea and biscuits in the lounge. Everywhere was beautiful, clean, welcoming. Rooms and bathroom were exceptional. Breakfast excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend this little gem.

Review 21:We had the most amazing welcome and stayed in superb rooms which surpassed our expectations. Gill needs to renew photographs on line as the current ones really do this jewel Justice! The stay really made our wedding day very very special.

Review 22:The "Double room" was actually 2 singles together, albeit very comfy. Could do with a larger TV,

Review 23:Lovely large room overlooking the Menai Straits.

Review 24:Very warm welcome , everything we needed was provided and more. Nice touches lovely bathroom products. Breakfast was amazing and we will absolutely go back

Review 25:It has to be one of the best B@B`s in the world. The quality of everything is superb and we now realise why there was a "countown" leading up to our visit.

Review 26:Tasteful decor, sizeable rooms, excellent views, walking distance to the high street, comfortable bed, proper coffee in the bedroom, fantastic breakfast, lovely host.

Review 27:This was my 6th place to stay in 10 days and I felt like I had come home. Well it was the only place nicer than my own house. Location perfect, room lovely, right out of Homes and Gardens. Great view of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia out of my window. Communal breakfast table so you have company for breakfast. Not cheap, but a proper treat.

Review 28:TV reception wasn't great, but who needs television with these views! I thought it was a little awkward when we were repeatedly asked to leave our room only 5-10 minutes after check out time. The reason we were late was that my husband was getting the car which was parked 10 min from the B&B. No private parking & don't count on parking it in front of the door!

Review 29:What a lovely room we had! We booked the tapestry room, which is super large with a nice seating area & lots of windows overlooking the Menai Strait. Breakfast is really good & so was the welcome we got with tea & freshly baked cookies.

Review 30:Cleifiog B&B is an outstanding house with great rooms, bathrooms and common areas. The breakfast was great as was the conversation. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. "Pinch yourself" view from the front. Warm and welcoming.

Review 31:We received a warm welcome from Jill. The accommodation is lovely! Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A really good breakfast set us up for the day.

Review 32:Gorgeous guest house in a beautiful location. A most enjoyable stay in a lovely room. We were very well looked after by Gill. Would definitely recommend a stay at Cleifiog and look forward to a return visit.

Review 33:Nothing to dislike!

Review 34:Stayed with my young son and made to feel very welcome, rooms very comfortable, plenty of room to unpack, lovely breakfast too. Overall very relaxed & quiet setting offered all you could want. Lovely people!..would return without a 2nd thought!

Review 35:Very slow and unstable internet connection(wifi). TV's and cable networking needs an upgrade

Review 36:Spacious, cosy antique styled rooms. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruits and full english. Very friendly staff

Review 37:Beautiful old building with lovely period features, so this did mean creaking floors from above from early risers. Would return again though.

Review 38:Beautiful building, gorgeous view. Perfect location. Lovely hosts and superb breakfast. Would stay again

Review 39:The relaxed atmosphere. The owner, Gill couldn't do enough for you to ensure your stay was a pleasant one. Attention to detail. Few minute walk into Beaumaris.

Review 40:The hosts were very welcoming. The room was lovely and had great views across the water to the mountains. It is just a two minute walk to the centre of the town, making an evening out very convenient. The breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay again.

Review 41:Every thing about this place was great from the location to the breakfast and the lady that owned it was amazing we had a great time and will be going back

Review 42:Parking outside the property is limited with the main road being busy at times. Although the house was in a lovely location it can be noisy and the breakfast room too small.

Review 43:The location was perfect within 5 minute walk of the town. Room size and comfort you couldn't fault, or the friendliness of the owners.

Review 44:Not a bad experience but being picky we think the bathroom could be slightly updated (maybe fully-tiled and with a plumbed in rather than electric shower which would be more powerful)

Review 45:The ambience, the friendliness of the hosts, the decor and furniture, the breakfasts, the closeness of the B&B to the little town of Beaumaris. The views from the front of the house.

Review 46:Perfect stay at Cleifiog, fantastic hostess with nothing too much trouble. Beautiful room, immaculate! Breakfast was superb! Great views and location. Can't wait to stay again!!!

Review 47:Hard to find even with GPS. Sign on gate would help. Look for small sign left of door

Review 48:Wattle n daub painting of inside wall , greeting n warm drink, yummy cookies

Review 49:Not all rooms have a bath which I prefer, so check when booking if you want one.

Review 50:Fantastic location overlooking the Straits, sumptuous accommodation in a beautifully restored house. The cosy lounge was especially nice.

Review 51:The friendly pot of tea and biscuits in the lounge on arrival. Breakfast with so much choice, warm croissants with a selection of jams, fresh squeezed orange.

Review 52:Having to leave.

Review 53:Everything - gorgeous luxurious place with beautiful sea views. Breakfast choice was excellent. Immaculate and very welcoming and organised. Will definitely return.

Review 54:only thing we were not too sure about was the breakfast all together at same table

Review 55:we really enjoyed the homely elegance, gill was very hospitable nothing too much trouble

Review 56:The only possible downside is parking as there are only room for about four cars to park on the road right outside the house. Don't let this put you off.

Review 57:The house it's staff the rooms, All clean and homely. Breakfast, the view and location. Well lets cut to the main question would we go back. Definitely and I recommend that you book here you won't be disappointed. I would give it 10 out of 10 if the parking was better.

Review 64:Nothing to dislike.

Review 65:Friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Cafetiere, biscuits etc in room. Quality, handmade, local toiletries in en suite. Lovely location. Good attention to detail.

Review 66:We were the only people in the place yet the service at breakfast was comprehensive and not reduced because there were only a "couple of people" The house is lovely, maintained to a high standard, the room was well equipped and had a large bathroom. The view from the room was very pleasant to wake up to!
