Reviews for Beatriz Costa & Spa

Review 1:Coffee after dinner was self service at the bar or piano bar , which is not a problem but to drink out of a polystyrene cup was not enjoyable. Sun beds were plentiful but the fabric was in very poor condition, certainly need renewed.

Review 2:STAFF . unfriendly atmosphere. and the fact that you have to pay 4 Euro to borrow a towel to go into the sauna on all inclusive . Food not the best. Loud music out side the room uptill 1pm

Review 3:View and pool

Review 4:Rooms could do a lick of paint . In my room there looked as Ir there was chocolate on the wall paper and corridors definitely need painting someone has only painted over the bad patches.

Review 5:Balcony great views , food good good nightly entertainment

Review 6:Hotel is old and a bit jaded but great if you want a good comfy room with a view over the town out to sea and don't mind a bit of a walk to get to the main part of town.

Review 7:Great pool and comfy clean rooms

Review 8:Unnecessarily carpeted, nowhere for lunch that wasn't all inclusive. No supermarket. Minigolf wasn't great and not laid out very well.

Review 9:Great location, great spa, nice interior, nice pool, cheap hotel

Review 10:Missed having tea & coffee in the room but they did supply it eventually on request. Paid for a pool towel 10 euros but as we paid the man in the cabin we could not get our money back. Apparently he is not supposed to take any money!! We were told this on the day we left!!

Review 11:The hotel and the Animacion team, The hotel is marvellous and accommodation is very good.

Review 12:We were told 3 different prices for the buffet dinner, staff didn't seem to know what was what??!!. We paid 7 euro for 24 hr wifi which was really bad and rarely worked. There was a plastic sheet over the matress, like something you'd put on a toddlers bed??!! Spa was out of order for 2 days ruining, some staff were abrupt. When we wanted to put charges to our room it seemed to cause great. Confusion for the staff!! At checkout we were questioned about whether we had paid for our room on arrival, which we had!!! Overall we seemed to experience an issue at every turn, whether it was from paying for dinner to paying for room service, just poor from a supposedly 4 star hotel!!

Review 13:Pool area fab, hotel lobby and interior very nice. Buffet dinner is good, but not amazing. Breakfast Buffett really good.

Review 14:Marvellous buffet and lovely staff A little way out from main part of Teguise but taxis are cheap and the standard of accommodation and food more than compensates You don't need to leave the grounds

Review 15:On our booking form we had asked for a low floor and were allocated a room on the top floor. And that room had a dirty balcony (old bird droppings on table and not been swept for days. Inside the room the chairs were well worn and one of them had a hole in the fabric the size of an orange.

Review 16:the room was big.

Review 17:The 10 minute walk into the town, and the wifi in room was poor after paying for it

Review 18:Everything about the hotel very relaxing staff were excellent food and drink fantastic!

Review 19:Computers in main foyer frequently not working Food/Drink dispensing machines frequently not working Floor Manager (1) ignoring presence of customers while talking to staff

Review 20:Generally very pleasant staff Very clean Good range of food Lovely quiet rooms Courtesy bus helpful

Review 21:The wifi was only free at the reception. The place is like out if some corny 80's suburbian vacation tv series. Almost funny!

Review 22:Room was comfortable and bathroom big. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Review 23:From the very first contact we didn't like the attitude of the female receptionists. Music and general noises from the, 'floor shows' were hideously noisy across the hotel but we were given a quiet room immediately on complaining. Just as well as the wardrobe doors were hanging off in the first room. Kettles, wifi and mini bar were not available without hiring. Free wifi in lobby was not constant. Getting a towel for the pool was ridiculously complicated. An early breakfast on the final morning was only pastries - useless for a gluten free diet! All these issues were compounded by an extraordinary lack of information. If you ask a question at reception you will only get one piece of the information you require, until you learn to avoid this by insisting on further information. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY!!

Review 24:Although out of town we enjoyed the location as it meant we got in some extra walking every day but it did mean a taxi back each night when it was dark. One of the male receptionists was very helpful when my husband had left his glasses in a taxi and we had them returned in minutes. Also, the breakfast wasn't too bad, compared to all other aspects of the hotel

Review 25:Very dated and filthy inside and outside changed rooms twice but nothing really changed leaking roof in both rooms and stained carpet in both rooms in different place to the leak more like a 2 star hotel than a 4 star also the food was cold most evenings

Review 26:Not a lot The entertainment was OK Nice pools

Review 27:Hotel dated abd needs updating, lick of paint and furniture. Lovely spa let down by missing tiles. Musty smell in lobby, presume due to water feature not being moved enough. More of a 3 star hotel.

Review 28:Good room size. Comfy beds. Tv channels in english. Spa very good. Breakfast selection very good.

Review 29:I didn't like that the bar closed very early. The spa was very expensive.

Review 30:The pool and the sunbathing area was lovely. The restaurant and its staff was excellent. The variety of food was very good. I liked that the room was air-conditioned.

Review 31:The evening entertainment was complete and utter rubbish - and thats putting it mildly! 11 nights of hell - needs proper management guidance to get this sorted. The Spa needs a full closure for maintenance. Broken tiles are a hazard and two cut toes on two different occasions did not encourage me to use it any time after that!

Review 32:Rooms - excellent and really clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable and good quality TV. The Swimming pools and outside areas are excellent with loads of sun beds to choose from, friendly staff and good day time entertainment. The buffet breakfast was good but the restaurant was so hot and stuffy even first thing in the morning which was must probably done on purpose for a quick turn around. Location good, with a 15 min walk into shopping centre.

Review 33:Breakfast can pass , but avoid the dinner . They serve a good variety of very bad quality tasteless food wich you can "enjoy" with bad quality wines ( which they charge you extra at regular restaurant prices ) , while they won't let you in the dinner area in bermuda pants ( this would be acceptable , but is ridiculous to eat this quality of food dressed properly ) .

Review 34:spacy glass covered entrance area with lot of trees and greenery inside . Comfortable rooms . Lot of fallen mozaic tiles in the pool area , which cause bad impression to the otherwise nice pool area.

Review 35:Quality of food was very poor. I haven't had such disgusting food in my life mostly not fresh. Couldn't eat at all.most of the time had to dine outside, though we were on all inclusive.not recommending any friends.

Review 36:Pool and spa facilities were great.

Review 37:had to pay for tea service in room no fridge in room food very repetative many staff did not speak English well and particularily pool side activities were announced in spanish do feel there was greater rapport with spanish speaking families even tho there were many english speaking people there

Review 38:Hotel lovely ...vey spacious and clean room service staff were excellent Spa was beaut too and great value

Review 39:I was not to happy with the waiting staff they were not very pleasant and looked after the spainish guests a lot better than the other clients in the hotel. My husband had a bad accident at the pool and although he was ok he was badly injured with some very deep cuts it was actually some of the guests that looked after him, the pool guy then put some antiseptic cream on and told the manager about it but there was no follow up. Also we had to ask for our sheets to be changed on the 5 th day. But this would not stop us going back.

Review 40:I was surprised when we arrived at the hotel at first I thought it looked a bit dated but it wasn't. We were checked in very quickly and got a great room that was really spacious and nice. The food was great lots to choose from. There was a great variety of entertainment in the evenings and the pool area was to die for. I would highly recommend this place. A few little things were not great but we enjoyed it

Review 41:The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the first shops then a further 15-20 minutes to the Pueblo Marinero area. Taxis cost 2.5 to 4 euros each way if you don't want to walk or the hotel provides a shuttle at 10.10am, 11.10am and 5.10pm to Las Cucharas beach. Flatscreen TV in bedrooms however the only English speaking channel is news.

Review 42:This hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff work hard to keep it so. The food is great and a wide variety of choice available for every meal. Soft drinks, tea, coffee, wine, beer and sangria on tap at meal times and at the pool bar. Lunch and snacks at pool bar were good. Dinner ends at 9.30 then no food available until 8am unless you order from a limited room service menu of sandwiches, pastries, cheese and salads at an additional cost. The pool area is fantastic and there is a strictly enforced rule of no reserving sunbeds. There's no need anyway as there are more than enough to go round. Pool opens from 11am until 7pm. Evening entertainment is ok. Some acts better than others. The Spa is included in all inclusive and definitely worth a visit or two. Ignore the few missing tiles and enjoy what's on offer, it's very relaxing. If you don't want to be bothered by the evening entertainment ask for a quiet room. Our room was on the first floor at the farthest end of a long corridor and we heard nothing from anyone the entire holiday. We had a great holiday. We don't usually go to the same place twice but we are hoping to return to the Beatriz next year.

Review 43:Lack of English television channels Front windows need cleaning

Review 44:Excellent quality and selection of food Cleanliness Friendly staff Super facilities

Review 45:It was our second stay at this hotel. The hotel is very quite and relaxing, the rooms very clean and spacious, the balcony had a lovely sea view and it was very private as well. The pool area is nice and there is a heated pool for the cooler days. The staff was amazing, they were all very kind and friendly always with a smile.

Review 46:No coffee facilities inside the main hotel. No fridge in room only drinks cooler.

Review 47:Plenty of sun beds

Review 48:Just a bit out of the way to the nearest shops etc

Review 49:Good value for money.food was good.Plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied

Review 71:Everything

Review 72:Hotel room balcony all rooms got the sun all day.easy walk to beach barsand shops.Taxi 4 euros.

Review 73:Food was pretty good, especially on the themed nights. Staff pleasant and attentive.

Review 74:The SPA is old & not too clean The hotel is a 6 storey building in a land where 3 floors is the max height, it's a crime for the scenery

Review 75:The music during the evening entertainment was too loud.

Review 76:Food, heated swimming pool, spa.

Review 77:Bad smell in the hotel.

Review 78:Very good value for money. Nice breakfast

Review 79:Evening entertainment far to loud very disturbing when trying to sleep

Review 80:The property is in major need of modernisation , and it's location is not very convenient as it is a good 15 mins walk to shops and bars

Review 81:Food

Review 82:Spa, pool,

Review 83:entertainment areas very hot when filled with a lot of guests. more bar staff needed .

Review 84:room size , food , entertainment ,

Review 85:Love the spa and love the waterfall. Good value for a night stay

Review 86:the food, the poor wifi and the tv

Review 87:the price

Review 88:Reception staff were not as helpful as you expect them to be. Entertainment area and social programme was poor. Due to the way the building is designed there was always a strong smell throughout the hotel of cooking of food etc....

Review 89:Rooms and Balcony good size. Value for money if you like a cheep holiday!

Review 90:Restaurant often chilly, also piano bar and main bar which got cold in the evening in February due to downdrafts. Some food not always hot.Pool bar closed for part of our stay, only alternative for lunch was an overpriced buffet.

Review 91:Nice room, comfortable, clean and bright, and balcony-south facing so sun on most of the day.Food was good with a good choice. Some reception staff very helpful and friendly, others not so good.

Review 92:Supplements for wi-fi and locker. Free wi-fi in lobby very slow. No English channels on TV except for BBC world.

Review 93:Basic price: excellent value for money. Stunning interior. In a very quiet position. Very clean and confortable

Review 94:Has a 4 star rating but is only a 2 star, no iron or coffee fcilities inroom , empty mini bar but want to charge 3 euroes per day to store yourown water, 20 euroes deposit for 2 tacky pool towels and 15 euroesweekly to rent safe, no english channels on tv, bed sheets not changedfor 4 days of our 7 night stay, very dissappointed, my 3rd time to staythere, but our last time

Review 95:Lobby, poolside,hotel interior

Review 96:The rooms are a bit dated but the balcony view was stunning.

Review 97:Relaxing and peaceful resort with awesome pools and great views. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the food was also very nice.

Review 98:The rooms were a long walk away and the large amount of glass in the building needed cleaning. The wi-fi was not free :-((

Review 99:The buffet is amazing, the food fresh with a huge choice

Review 100:Location a bit far from town centre. Why not have bus running in late evening/ night. Could not get a drink in hotel at 11.45.

Review 101:Hotel was fine staff friendly

Review 102:i could not believe you had to be all inclusive to get a drinnk of water and you could not pat for extras with currency'. the breakfast was was buffet style but the food that was on offer did not have the variety of quality i expected

Review 103:Nasty smell in the room, though we complained at the reception andhousekeeper came to spray, the smell was still there....very poor roomcleanliness...wardrobe shelfs filthy and never cleaned throughout wholeweek, there was an empty bottle of water behind armchair before weentered the room, which although wepushed it out for maid to see, it wasnever picked up. Having such a nice glass structure (whole side of thehotel!) it is expected to be cleaned more often. Children not allowed inSpa, we expected a couple of hours a day at least.

Review 104:Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner...fantastic outdoor poolfacilities and hotel setting.

Review 105:The quality of the food , evening meals were cold, the prices for the drinks at the bar and for the Jacuzzi area very too high.

Review 106:The facilities and the quiteness were very good. it was easy to get into and out of town and there was always a relaxed feeling around the place. Good friendly staff

Review 107:The quantity of food at the buffet was fine but the quality was just ok. The food at the swimming pool bar was really poor quality. The Italian food was poor in quality and as a vegetarian I wooul have appreciated more choice for cooked food. Travellers should be advised in advance that the hotel has no heating facilities.

Review 108:We really appreciated the thalasso spa
