Reviews for Hôtel de Londres

Review 1:Very limited facilities for what was billed as a luxury hotel - minimal facilities - some basic housekeeping would be welcome, and some of the problems were screamingly obvious, such as the very, loud, squeaking door to the room which only needed an application of oil!

Review 2:Location was great.

Review 3:The room must have been renovated very recently and had a strong smell of paint. We had to sleep with an open window and the nights were still chilly. Warm bed was a blessing :) Free bottled water should be a standard in an expensive hotel like this one. We arrived late in the evening and forgot a toothpaste. Unfortunately, the hotel does not carry complementary travel kits.

Review 4:Spacious room with a view on a castle. Incredibly clean and newly renovated. Very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Luxurious wooden floors and antique furniture. Very nice staff. Prime location. We simply loved our stay!

Review 5:One of those old box & hose hairdryers in the bathroom

Review 6:The view to the chateau of Fontainebleu was incredible. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Decor and room were beautiful

Review 7:I had booked through an online service - and when plans changed, still had to pay for the xtra night - found that very frustrating and very disappointing.

Review 8:Great view of the Chateau Fontainbleau. Very friendly staff. Food was excellent, room was excellent (very comfortable bed!)

Review 9:Just one minor adjustment: shower pressure needs improvement. The water pressure for the tub is excellent but it has a small "hand" shower and the pressure is ok. No curtains, just a very small glass, so the bathroom gets soaked after a shower. But would definetely stay again. Merci!

Review 10:Philipe, the owner, was very kind, super helpful. Large room, great breakfast, superb location. It is a cozy, small, luxury hotel. Speaks English.

Review 11:I went to Fontainebleau for work and Philip and the staff were friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and has a beautiful view of the castle. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 29:Despite the price the electrics didn't work one side of the bed & the towel rail was hanging off the wall. Staff were a bit reserved & not exactly welcoming

Review 30:A lovely hotel full of old fashion style! Right in town just across from the Chateaux

Review 31:Everything was great, although it was a shame that the receptionist (who was very kind and helpful) insisted on speaking in English to us even though both myself and my son can speak French and are very keen to practice our French when in France.

Review 32:1 towel only A nightmare to get a taxi on Sunday. You might take your dispositions prior going there. Fontainebleau is a small town so....

Review 33:I used this hotel 20 years ago and I was pleased to see the standards were still high. This hotel has a lot of charm, it's very quiet and staff is helpful and discreet. I would not hesitate in recommending it.

Review 34:Our shower wasn't great- the shower in the second room was excellent though.

Review 35:Friendly staff, great coffee. We had two ajoining rooms in a pretty courtyard which was perfect for us. The hotel had lots of historic charm and was perfectly situated.

Review 36:No tea & coffee facilities in the room, maybe it's a British thing?
