Reviews for Relais de Vellinus

Review 1:Heavyweight duvet too hot . Need sheet alternative in hot weather.

Review 2:Good traditional logis. Breakfast good and dinner in partner restaurant excellent value and pleasant atmosphere. Lovely town to explore.

Review 3:no lift. very noisy at night if you leave the window open (which is what you have to do as there is no other method of ventilation when it is hot)

Review 4:its location. very easy to find in Beaulieu's center of town. staff very helpful and polite.

Review 5:rien de tout

Review 6:the owner was a delightful man and was very kind and helpful, as were his staff they always had lovely welcoming smiles which we both appreciated plus his attention to detail and his natural attitude towards his guests. We will definately return to this perfect charming place.

Review 7:It is in a great location right in the main square. It is only a few minutes walk to the Old Town and onto the Dordogne River. The helpful staff were very friendly and there is a lovely seating area out the front of the hotel.

Review 8:There is no hotel car park. Parking outside the hotel was in a free municipal car park and it was dificult to find a space especially as there is a market there each week. There is no restaurant on site, we were referred to the restaurant on the opposite side of the car park, which is presumably that referred to in other reviews.

Review 9:Nice quiet character room.

Review 10:A nice place to stay with comfortable beds and very helpful staff.

Review 11:Breakfast offering very basic and expensive.

Review 17:Location excellent overlooking square. Staff on reception very helpful & courteous.

Review 18:Noise by Friday night revelers right outside our window until the early hours. Noise from bottle recycling facility in the main square which continued to be used beyond midnight.

Review 19:Breakfast was excellent. Excellent pedestrian access to all that Beaulieu Sur Dordogne has to offer.

Review 20:The bathrooms are starting to get tired, after 6 years and just need a deep clean. Just a point.

Review 21:Love the welcome. I stayed here when they first renovated in 2006 and it's just the same. Warming!

Review 22:We had a most enjoyable stay at this hotel. The park setting and small farm are delightful. The hotel building, built in 1575, has real character but is also very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful and enjoys talking with guests. Located on the edge of the town it is near the Le Cere river which is also very attractive.

Review 23:The room was small, very dark with bad lighting and the toilet/bathroomdid not have a door, just a fringe for a curtain, which for the price ofthe room which was the upgraded room, I did not consider acceptable. Also on the booking form it said we could arrive between 4 pm and 10 pm.We arrived at 4pm and the hotel was closed until 5 pm, so we had to finda bar to sit in and wait until 5pm.

Review 24:A good location in Beaulieu sur Dordogne. The food was excellent and thestaff were very friendly.

Review 25:Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift !! It was a very hot day and there was no A/C

Review 26:The staff were friendly and helpfull and spoke good english. We had breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both.

Review 27:The hotel had a very nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly andhelpful, despite our appalling french. Really lovely food in therestaurant at a very reasonable price.

Review 28:The Hotel is highly recommended, it is situated in a lovely town, if you haven't visited Beaulieu, you really should consider making it part of your next trip to this area of France.

Review 29:Had trouble with getting into our room a few times, no fault of staff, more to do with technology I think

Review 30:Location, staff

Review 31:There was no lift and we were on the second floor

Review 32:Freindly helpful service and central location.

Review 33:In the centre of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne with easy parking. Rooms recently refurbished and staff welcoming, helpful and English speaking.
