Review 1：The room had the over powering smell of artificial air freshener. Opened windows but to no avail On second day found two industrial sixe 10 cm in diameter pads of gel air freshen er behind tonight and bagged them and put the outside on windowsill. Second night slept much better.
Review 2：Location for central Caen is excellent and parking approx 50 metres distance. Good selection of great restaurants close by Clean, basic, no frills hotel at a very reasonable price - absolutely fine for an overnight stay. Decent bedding and a comfy pillow. Ideal for prior to or after arrival on the ferry. Free WIFI.
Review 3：Very small room, not very clean. Wifi didn't work, almost no hot water. Very small bed with. No blankets, had to cover with bed cover that was not very clean. We arrived late and left early, so it was okish for just sleeping.

Review 5：This is only a very tiny point because the proprietor and the facilities were all great. The wifi seemed difficult to connect to although both my wife and I were so tired from our trip to get there we didn't really make an effort to solve it. Also parking is available but in the large public car park about a hundred yards away from the hotel .. when we got outside there was no nearby parking but the proprietor quickly explained where to find it.

Review 7：Unfortunately the walls are very thin so I could hear everything next door. Also, the bar opposite didn't close till 1.00am so it was very noisy out on the street as well.

Review 11：My room was on the 4th floor and the shared shower room was on the 2nd, one shower sharing between 8 rooms. It was ok, as I got up early, but could be inconvenient.

Review 13：Bad internet that disconnected all the time. Extremely small room, especially the bathroom. The bed had a bedspread with cigarette marks in it. We only got one shower towel, when they clean the room they took it away and we didn't get a new one. When we asked about it they gave us though! Upon arrival the frontdoor was looked with no one in sight, we had to ring the bell several times before someone opened, this was in the middle of the day. If your french is not up to par then you should maybe think twice to book here, they only and I meen only speak french! We would not recommend staying here, and we are surprised that it got so high score. The high score was what made us book here, so we were dissapointed.

Review 15：The toilet looked like it was placed in the bathroom as an afterthought due to being placed in the corner with the sink right in front of it and the shower beside it, but considering that I wasn't expecting a bathroom at all this wasn't a big deal.

Review 30：It was located in the heart of the city. The Citadel, Cathedral, shopping, and bus lines are within 1-2 blocks. On Sunday morning there is an open air market which is fun. An easy bus ride to the Caen Memorial Museum.
Review 31：Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms with friendly staff at a very good price. The hotel's location was superb being central to the main sites, shops and transport links but also quiet which, along with the ultra comfortable beds, makes for a good night's sleep.

Although I had booked 2 double rooms with toilet and shower through Booking.com, I only got 1 room as per booking, and because hotel was fully booked we couldn't change it. To be honest I think this was web sites fault not hotel management.
