Reviews for Best Western Blois Château

Review 1:When we checked out, we informed the staff that we will leave luggage and will be returned by 12 pm to collect the luggages. The staff told us that the hotel will be closed from 1 pm to 4 pm. She told us so long we come back before 1 pm and should be fine. When we went back to the hotel at 12.15 pm, our luggages were left at the entrance of the hotel instead of in the room where the staff kept them earlier. I was v angry and felt the staff was petty rude in her behavior. In addition。we left the hotel and realised that she didn't collect the card for the room from us. We will gg to Paris tomorrow and will be staying at the group of hotel in Paris and will pass the key to the staff

Review 2:The hotel is within walking distance from the train stations

Review 3:Would have been better if there had been a restaurant in house. Not always convenient to have to wander around the town looking for a place to eat after a long journey!

Review 4:Cleasn, friendly and comfortable

Review 5:Nice place, across the road from the train station, but there is a large carpark across the road to block the noise and view. The room a little on the small side, but clean and modern. Friendly staff and great pastry shop next door - not related to the hotel.

Review 6:The bathroom had no shower cap. The room was very small and was noisy. The owner wasn't friendly and it wasn't up to the standard of other Best Western or 3 star hotels.

Review 7:The bathroom was modern.

Review 8:Could hear every single noise from the neighboring room!!!!

Review 9:Cute modern and well appointed room, nice comfy bed BUT I could hear every singly noise in the neighboring room!!!!

Review 10:No bar for a nightcap and no restaurant

Review 11:Great family room very big. Bathroom massive v clean. Location perfect to town. Great bakery next door for breakfast.

Review 12:Using the shower was a bit complicated and it wasn't any description how to use it.

Review 13:The general idea of designer decoration of the rooms and the porcelains what we used at the breakfast.

Review 14:Upgraded to a mini-suite which was spacious, but had little privacy. Lighting was not great, but consistent with the stark-modern theme that had no walls between the bed and bath. Breakfast was among the best we've had in France. Location was not pretty - across from the railroad station. Easy walk to Blois Chateaux.

Review 15:Everything , we were on hunnymoon and had traveled 200 miles around france and we stumbled on this beauty in blois by accident while looking for somewhere half way up from south and what a city blois is very beautiful the hotel was very clean the people were lovely and helpful and the room was lovely especialy the air con you can self adjust and it was lovely

Review 16:Room at top of hotel was small and could hear all talking from next door.

Review 17:Our room was nice but only once we'd asked to swap. Rooms at top are noisy and you can literally hear people next door talking. Complained and luckily got moved to great room and all good from there onwards! Great location in a really nice town.

Review 18:Clean, comforta ble and very helpful staff. really excellent breakfast.o Best of all was the proximity qqmto a fabulous restaurant Poivre et Sel.àmqm

Review 19:This hotel has deducted a charge for my stay and are also holding an'authorization' for for the same amount that they are refusingto release which means I've paid for the night's accommodationtwice. The lady I asked to look into it was rude and unhelpful. Lovelyhotel...terrible customer experience.

Review 20:The room

Review 21:We were in Room 200 which looks very nice indeed. However, the glamorous-looking shower is placed near the middle of the room and has glass on 3 sides meaning that we all had to leave the room before my teenage daughter could take a shower. However, the worst part of our stay was caused by the low beams in the room which are painted black so that you can't see them easily and have sharp parts pointing downwards meaning that anyone over about 1.75m tall is probably going to hurt themselves several times. When I reported this to the receptionist she ignored my complaint and when I told the hotel manageress she turned into a Cruella de Vil-type character and told me I was talking rubbish. She needs some serious customer service training :-(

Review 22:A very small but clean and pleasant hotel, let down by the attitude of the staff.

Review 23:Staff were very pleasant and helpful Clean rooms in a good state of repair A kettle in the room- a bonus in France! Short walk to the chateau and the town centre

Review 24:I always love Best Western - it is always the best option among the competitors, it is always clean, new, friendly, always have teapot to prepare coffee and tea, good towels.

Review 25:Weak wifi signal. Shower open in bathroom (no cabin) so bathroom was flooded after showering. French channels. 1 American news channel. Not easy to find if you didn't google the location. We drove around it twice. Hotel is hidden behind trees (it's the first building on the right-hand side as you leave the station)

Review 26:Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely and tasteful decoration Central location right behind the castle. Great breakfast, lovely terrace.

Review 27:No fridge in the rooms, no ice available.

Review 28:Very comfortable and clean room. Got upgraded to a superior room which had a nice amount of space. Note that the hotel is essentially across the road from the main train station. Pro-Tip: Car parking at the train station is 6.50 for 24 hours.

Review 29:No place to set luggage. Limited space around bed. Wifi not always reliable. Shower small. No space around sink to set cosmetics or anything. Lighting in room inadequate after sun goes down.

Review 30:Good lighting around the mirror. Bed was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Review 31:We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Review 32:The hotel location was so perfect we added 3 extra nights (my daughter and I were on a 9 day excursion touring the Loire valley). The room was very comfortable and the staff we so friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was modern and large.

Review 33:Location was great; could walk to restaurants and shops and when it was time to leave we were right across from the train station. But the best was the helpfulness of the manager, I did not get her name but she went over and above ensuring we were able to get to where we were going.

Review 34:We had a great stay. Room was quiet, clean and spacious. Large bathroom was a bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good value for money. Location was good, easy walk into the centre of town and close to great restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Review 35:The LIFT!! oh man!! it's like a fork-lift taking you to the only 2 floors it has! i felt like in the 18th century! and you need to keep pressing the button until it reaches the intended floor.

Review 36:Location, the comfy feel of a BnB, Breakfast on time, special requests like urgent laundry, car parking, pressing, etc.

Review 37:The bed was a bit hard and the pillows super soft. Also, there was no parking lot offered which was a misleading detail on the website description.

Review 38:Hotel in a great location, very clean, and good breakfast assortment.

Review 39:A stone throw from the train and bus stations, yet quiet inside. Welcoming staff, decent breakfast. The castle is at 2-3 minutes walking distance. A very nice briocherie next door.

Review 40:Convenient location, however hotel was not so easy to spot and parking on the street wasn't so easy to find until after 6:30. Then we could leave the car all night for free When checking out, our two credit cards were rejected, even though they worked at other hotels. Carpeting in lobby is a bit gaudy.

Review 41:Loved the room and the sleekness of the shower. Breakfast was great, with many options! Staff gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant for dinner.

Review 42:Room was a bit small. Well I guess that this is what we chose but if you saty for more than a night better take a slightly bigger room.

Review 43:The host is very nice. The breakfast was excellent and prepared with a lot of care. Perfect location (accross the street from the train station - then look right, it's just there... without the trains waking you up at night).

Review 44:hotel room very small, as typical for this type of hotel

Review 45:very friendly staff, english speaking location is ok - as Blois is quite small any place is close to the center breakfast quite good, in particular by French standards (much more than the usual coffee and croissant!) recent very stylish renovation

Review 46:Location -in front of train station, there was too noisy in our room during night and almost impossible to sleep A bit far from center, you will be find closer location Too small rooms

Review 47:Staff is very helpful!!!

Review 48:I thourght the decor of the entry foyer looked very tacky and wanted to walk out again before even checking in! However, the rest of the hotel was much more tastefully decorated; modern with nice art work.

Review 49:Although situated opposite the busy train station, it was quiet and comfortable. Room, although not big, was well appointed.

Review 50:The bathroom was wierd. Shower in middle of room, so when one showered and the other person went into bathroom, water was everywhere including wet toilet paper. Also, very poor lighting. Bedroom was fine.

Review 51:Nothing really, but we feel that the open plan bathroom with its central, unscreened shower may seem trendy but can be a safety hazard since all of the tiled floor becomes wet and dangerously slippery. Visitors take care!

Review 52:Like most hotels in the Best Western chain, the quality of the rooms, cleanliness and breakfasts are first class. The lady on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was well equipped with a modern bathroom. Tea and coffee-making facility in the room was a pleasant bonus and rare in France.

Review 53:Not a lot of good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Bit of a walk to Blois centre, about 15 min but not flat.

Review 54:There was a small bottle of drinking water in the room each day. Very convenient and appreciated. Very convenient to train station

Review 55:Nicely updated recently with modern styling. A very nice breakfast buffet with lots of selections. Walking distance to Blois Chateau and the old town as well as the train station.

Review 56:Some confusion with another party checking out. They had paid all amounts and upon leaving there was an unneeded situation to prove they had paid.

Review 57:The ladies at the front desk. It's closeness to train station and easy walk into town.

Review 58:When you travel you have luggage, no one would like to carry their own luggage to the 2nd floor.. Property: We found hygienic towels in the bathroom (from previous guests).. Leak: The shower was leaving all over the bedroom making the carpet wet. Bed: The linen were not correctly in place I had to re-do the bed myself... Seriously disappointed as I have always been staying at Best Western and never had a bad experience before. The management didn`t even offer a discount. Avoid it if you can!

Review 59:Just next to the train station

Review 60:you can hear trains passing at night (though not that loud, and there are few trains anyway); not many options to eat around, you have to walk to the center, but then again, its just a 10 min walk.

Review 61:Hotel is located just across the train station, and 10 mins away from the castle. Buses to other castles on the Loire stop just in front of the hotel. Clean room, nice decorated, good bed.

Review 62:Room was TINY! Nicely decorated and modern...but space was a BIG problem! Hotels restaurant was SHUT because it was August and the staff were on holiday!

Review 63:Location. Staff....when you could find them. Disabled lift (although I am not disabled) was the only way up with heavy suitcases but it was very efficient!

Review 64:Nothing hot except boiled eggs. There can be a long wait by the coffee machine 10-15 min if you unlucky, drove me crazy. The hotel itself is pricy.

Review 65:Its a chain Hotel you get everything by the standard. I kind a like that you know what to expect. There is no quality controll once the room has been done. We had for instance no plastic cups the sedond say. Minor. Breakfast ok.

Review 66:Location in front of train station Clean, both bathroom and bedroom Breakfast, additional price, but it was really good compared with the standard in most of the places. This was a buffet with several options.

Review 67:WiFi was so slow as to be unuseable. I managed to load the Google homepage once, but nothing else.Ground floor room with window opening onto the street meant we could not have the window open at night. We spent half the first night trying to get the aircon right.

Review 68:Directly opposite the railway station, so convenient for our arrival anddeparture (and for public transport to nearby Chateaux).Recently-refurbished and very clean. Helpful staff.

Review 69:Lack of adapter. Communication gap between french speaking hostess and our English missed w/french. I size of the room was tight.

Review 70:The dining area staff and food.

Review 71:Rather "spartan" with no real atmosphere. Only had coffee / tea facilities for one cup per person per stay. No hot option at breakfast despite the price. Parking on street next to hotel rather than in secure car park albeit free at the weekend.

Review 72:Location is excellent. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. They accommodated our bicycles in their store with no pre-arrangement needed.

Review 73:The bath room was not a very people friendly, major refurb was undertaken with a very modern design, but you can not have an open shower in the centre of the room, which has a safety issue when the floor gets wet and you need to go to the toilet and cross the floor to the hand basin.

Review 74:A. Very chic hotel, loved the decor, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was not over the top but substantial a little over priced for the selection, nevertheless the garden setting, and the staff again were great. Short walk to the centre of town, public parking across the road, ant 6 euro was ok.

Review 75:Nothing

Review 76:Room was comfortable & quite. Adjacent restaurant was excellent quality & value. Breakfast was really good, staff friendly and eager to assist us.

Review 77:Being greeted by an excited, drooling dog that jumped up on me. Reception smelt of dog.

Review 78:Room was spacious and exceedingly clean. The breakfast was excellent value, served in a spotless room.

Review 79:We were assigned a room that was horrible. Right on the street beside steps going down outside at the exit door. Refused it & was moved. Hard to handle luggage up stairs as elevator did not go up to all floors.

Review 80:No own parking, walking distance to center nevertheless 15 min.

Review 81:We stayed for one night travelling further east: Easy to find, fair size of the room, clean, good sound isoloation.

Review 82:The hotel is just in front of the main train station and the facilities are very neat and really comfi. I would go back!

Review 83:room was very nice , staff very helpful, free parking in week-ends nearby , good location near the castle

Review 84:Very nice staff clean room good access to the city and nearby parking good bakery nearby

Review 85:Clean, modern, comfy with a good breakfast.

Review 86:A little pricey for the area-next to the train station but fine.

Review 87:GREAT SUITE, VERY CLEAN, GREAT BREAKFAST.

Review 88:Nice atmosphere very clean easy parking well located for restaurants

Review 89:This is located in front of the train station

Review 90:Friendly staff. Nice bathrrom. Well located

Review 91:Very modern styled room. a/c was welcome in the summer heat. Easy walking distance to the town centre

Review 92:Shower was not working properly Told reception didn't do a thing to try and repair and seemed to me they couldn't be bothered

Review 93:Charlotte

Review 94:Although the first room was a little small for me as I am claustrophobic the lovely staff accommodated me to room 200

Review 95:Tiny room. Neighborhood (train station) not very welcoming.

Review 96:Walking distance from the castle. Clean. Very good breakfast.

Review 97:Room was really tight No light in shower
