Reviews for Appart'City Blois
Review 1:Getting a bit old and tatty. Needs refurbishment. Shower door leaked and light in kitchenette did not work.
Review 2:Good value for money, with everything you need.
Review 3:the hotel didnt respect was promissed right after the booking, poor communication, entrance to the garages just for smaller cars (if you do not want to tear off your front bumper or scratch your trims)
Review 4:location
Review 5:If you arrive out of hours, have a phone handy as you will need to phone in to get the access codes you need.
Review 6:Great location just a short walk from the chateau de Blois
Review 7:To start with, we did not receive any sms providing us with the code we needed to get into the room, so we had to call a line for which we had to pay (surprise surprise, I have never received this message and I've used their services several times). The worst of all was finding 7 or 8 spiders in the room in different spots, which we had to kill of course. We had not left the window open, contrary to what the (very rude) recepcionist said, and they had been there for several days. We will go to AppartCity in different cities where we had great experiences, but deffinetely not to this one.
Review 8:The room was ok and so was the bathroom, although it was worse than other appartments from this chain we have been into. The location was the best part I guess, as well as the fact that we could park right in front of the appartment.
Review 9:As we had an apartment we expected a place to sit and relax but we onky had a table with 2 upright chairs blocking the way between the beds and small kitchen. No air conditioning, and the garage had no lift, so we would have had to carry very heavy suitcases up and dowm steep stairs.
Review 10:Comfortable rooms close to chateau.
Review 11:Rooms a bit bland but indicative of the price paid.
Review 12:Very convenient and well priced. The staff were great with good recommendations. Overall good value for money
Review 13:Be warned that the check-in desk at the hotel doesn't work 24/7. We came at 1215 pm and the reception had closed, and we couldn't get in even to leave our bags! That was frustrating because the bags were pretty heavy and we had to drag them to the city centre (which is pretty hilly) to spend the waiting there until 3 pm. I contacted the call-centre of the hotel as the telephone number was on the door but they couldn't help and told us to wait. The shower leaked. Wifi is not free. It's 1,5 euro per day.
Review 14:The apartments are centrally located, the district is quiet and the place is easy to find. The bedding is fine and clean, the kitchnette has everything necessary even for a longer stay. It has a coffee maker which we didn't expect. There's a really good supermarket not far away from the hotel.
Review 15:Wifi cuts out after 20 mins....if you go for a piss you have to log back in .... very irritating if one has a strangling prostate. Penny-pinching silliness.
Review 16:There was no one in the office when i arrived at noon. I had to wait 2 hours for the office to open and it prevented me from enjoying my short trip to Blois.
Review 17:close to train station
Review 18:It is probably the worse price/quality ratio that I have ever experienced. If you wish to save money and sleep in a less inspiring place go for any of the 40 € competitors. If you are willing to pay more, take anything but this horrible place on earth. And notice that they charge 4 € for keeping a bike over night (the first time ever that I have paid for parking a bike safe).
Review 19:The beds were alright.
Review 20:Bed is very small, pillows are flat won't get any extra pillow as per hotel policy. Only one cooking pan and no cups in the kicken. Our room was on the ground floor, once we opened our door some unknown person tried to get in to our room.Someone kept on throwing cigarette buds from upper floor. Apparment is more like a student residence. I will not recommend anyone.
Review 21:Location is good. Staff were very helpfull .
Review 22:Accomodation wasn't as good as apart'city in Orleans.
Review 23:The view from hotel room. Beautiful gardens in Blois & picturesque town. Easy access to everywhere from hotel.
Review 24:the beds are way too narrow!
Review 25:It´s pretty close to the castle. We arrived after 5pm on Saturday and left on Sunday morning and we had been properly informed about where to find our keys and what the door codes were. Very well organized but it doesn´t harm to have at least 1 member of staff on place to help the customers out and assist them when they arrive/leave.
Review 26:The lights in the corridor were not working properly, and i used my flashlight to make my way with the luggage and insert the key into the door at 1am.
Review 27:Our stay at the apart city was super fast. We arrived at Blois by train, at 00:30. I was concerned if everything would be ok since the reception would be closed. But the instructions in the e-mail were clear and easy to follow, and we were able to access the building (close to the gare) and retrieve the key to our room. The room was huge compared to the one we were in Paris, and everything worked just fine. The following day we went to the reception and left our luggage there (for 2E a piece) and explored the city.
Review 28:No extra Pillows , one thin Pillow not Great. I would have liked to see some extra pillows in the cupboard.
Review 29:Location is excellent, to visit Blois Chateau and town. Room clean and kitchenette equipped.
Review 30:Very small parking bays. Lights switched on timers, could be left in the dark on stairwells and carpark. No microwave dishes. Bit noisy from the street. Maybe due to a young peoples area.
Review 31:The position was within 10 mins by foot to the main shops and old city.
Review 32:I arrived on Sunday expecting to be able to leave my case until check in time but there were no staff. They had sent an email with access code for if arriving after five but not everyone accesses email when on holiday! If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have been able to get in at any time. Apartment was dated and the shower leaked. Very little stuff in the kitchen.
Review 33:Location, price
Review 34:Nothing.
Review 35:Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff. Excellent location. Good facilities. Good breakfast. Comfortable room. Great value for money.
Review 36:The inside of the rooms were in need of refurbishment, we had a broken lamp and the bathroom smelt of damp.
Review 37:The location of the hotel was excellent just a 10 min walk from the town centre.
Review 38:lack of communication, retrieving the room key may be problematic on late arrival, no kettle, no hairdryer, no regular sized mugs for tea/coffee
Review 39:location, cleanliness, friendly staff
Review 40:Although there was nothing majorly wrong with the appartments we felt that they were tired. The bed was uncomfortable. There was very little equipment in the kitchen area.
Review 41:Appart'City blois was in a quiet area and a good position for a short walk to the city. The rooms were clean and functional,
Review 42:It was very hot the 4 days that we visited, and there were no fans available, which meant we couldn't sleep comfortably at night. We could also hear noise from the traffic if we kept the windows open. The kitchen wasn't supplied with any washing up liquid, and one of the two rooms was out of shower gel too.
Review 43:Very reasonably priced, and with comfortably cooking facilities, which means you can save money on eating out. Breakfast for 3 euros was a bonus!
Review 44:Bed not very comfy- but it was a cheap price so I understand why! Breakfast was not great- I would not recommend this.
Review 45:The apartment was in a great location just 5 mins walk to the castle. Rooms were clean and spacious with nice bathrooms.
Review 46:- noisy street - no A/C, need to keep the windows open at the noisy street - extremely uncomfortable beds - extremely narrow - apartment not cleaned well - obligation to clean the apartment - in overall unsatisfactory experience
Review 47:- good location - reasonable price - staff speaking English
Review 48:Lift temporarily out of order in early part of stay, but staff very helpful.
Review 49:Very well situated, happy with kitchen facilities, satisfactory equipment. Parking available in surrounding area. Close to supermarket and close to centre (both within walking distance)
Review 50:They keep luggage after check-out only by 5 PM and you have to pay for this Reception closed 12 - 14 No soap during our stay (3 nights)
Review 51:Clean, close to train station (5 min), city center (10 min), castle (7-8 min), supermarket (5 min)
Review 52:It was the most basic of accomodation and for a hotel i would have thought that there would have been more included basic services (i.e hairdryers, more regular cleaning). Also it was a bit unusual that you have to take out your own rubbish and basically clean the place before you leave for fear of a 20 Euro surcharge. I would expect cleaning after i leave to be the responsibility of the hotel. Overall a clean and nice basic residence.
Review 53:Liked that it was close to the central station and the chateau. It was also close to a bus that linked to other chateaus.
Review 54:It would be nice to have sufficient amount of toilet paper. Furthermore be aware that it is you who has to do the cleaning before leaving otherwise you will be charged. Every little bit is charged extra: Internet access, keeping the luggage...
Review 55:Leaky shower. Hard beds singles pushed together.
Review 56:Good location. Secure parking.
Review 57:My friend got stuck in thé lift!!! Fortunately, it started again .. But then broke down for several hours !

Review 102:bad mattress, sleeping fatal every morning with back pain.
Review 103:good kitchen and is spacious artment
Review 104:Not so easy to find because of one way streets nearby.
Review 105:Simple but functional facilities. Not far from the city center.
Review 106:We had a apartment on the top floor with a little balcony. It had all that we needed as a self catering apartment down to dish washing liquid.
Review 107:good location to visit Blois, Chambord and Cheverny; a studio with simple but basic kitchenware, quiet environment, kind staff;reasonable price.
Review 108:Bed was shocking, parking very limited.
Review 109:Location good for city access and trains.
Review 110:Wifi is not free, you have to wait for the reception to open at certain hours.
Review 111:Location, price, the small kitchen and the facilities.
Review 112:There could have been better equipment for self catering and a bit more comfort in the room.
Review 113:Location very near station and castle.
Review 114:Not a dream appartment. Surely needs renovation. Cleaning service is extra paid and quite expansive.
Review 115:Big confortable rooms.
Review 116:As its an apartment, there were kitchen utensils that could be used. but i found out that the utensils were not cleaned and there were oil all over the frying pan, which's disgusting.
Review 117:The room is tidy, and its near to the train station
Review 118:Kitchen facilities and equipment very poor compared to other Appart'City appts stayed at. Appt and furnishings are tired. Internet was not working. More like student accomodation than an aparthotel.
Review 119:Breakfast had to be reserved ahead which we didn't know. There was nothing in the reservation to tell us.
Review 120:Very clean and comfortable. It was easy to enter with a code. The bathroom was large and modern.
Review 121:Check in on a Sunday was a problem. Our room key initially was missing, but turned up later. Lack of access on Sunday to assistance was an issue. Shower cubicle leaked onto bathroom floor.
Review 122:Generally we were well satisfied.
Review 123:It was difficult to find a parking lot. Despite it's nice general look, there was a leak in the shower cabin.
Review 124:The kitchen was very good equipped! There was everything one could wish to find. Very practical and well done! (Small however...) A clean and nicely furnished room with all basics for a comfortable stay.
Review 125:-You must have a GPS to find it or a detailed map. Its not a big deal, since you should have it to discover the Loire. Be warned that transit is heavy there. -There was always a dim light from street, since the curtains let it go through. It was possible to sleep, but we prefer very dark bedrooms. -Also, a very light smell of cigars in background. But usually everything in Europe is like that. -The bed actually is a sofa bed, with 2 single mattress. It is strange, but the bed is comfortable.
Review 126:-Location: close to Blois castle. -I believe renting a car is the best option to discover Loire. Once I risked parking on the streets, but it was very handy to use the parking from the hotel. -The hotel has a functional kitchen, with good cookware. -The hotel has a laundry you can use, with drying machine. -You can enter and leave 24/7. -Good reception, everything was clearly explained. -Very good bathroom. It is not a "design" bathroom, but very functional.
Review 127:No kettle!
Review 128:It was central to everything including an excellent supermarket . Would have liked a kettle in the room for my early morning cup of tea! Otherwise everything good
Review 129:We would have liked a change of towels during our stay.
Review 130:Convenience for walking to everything - shops and city centre. Secure car parking. Self catering facilities
