Reviews for Hotel Tamariu
Review 1:Beds were moderately comfortable.
Review 2:Lovely family owned and operated hotel on a gorgeous cove of the Costa Brava. Dinner service was outstanding. Lovely breakfast as well. So relaxing and beautiful.
Review 3:No tea or coffee facilities in the room. If you wanted a tea or coffee you had to go to bar and pay for it. No fridge in room. No glasses only disposable plastic cups in bathroom. Had to order a few drinks and take them up to room and keep them so that we had a glass we could drink out of. Only had one meal while we were there the mussels looked like they had been reheated in the microwave the sauce on top was cold in some areas not reheated properly. I think the above things are fairly basic requirements for a hotel.
Review 4:The location was absolutely beautiful. We had a room with a large deck overlooking the ocean. The room was a good size.
Review 5:A cold snap meant the hotels facilities were somewhat exposed as essentially a warm weather base, though still charming.
Review 6:Wonderful position in a pretty cove you thought no longer existed not crowded remember it's October. Hotel and staff are delightful, and breakfast is very splendid
Review 7:Absolutely nothing!
Review 8:Lovely, friendly staff in family-run hotel right on the beautiful beach. Our spotless room on 2nd floor overlooked the beach. Restaurant serves superb continental breakfast and great value/quality meals at lunch and dinner.
Review 9:The one thing we didn't like were the flies in the restaurant, particularly at the breakfast table.
Review 10:The staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking perfect English and providing useful information about the surrounding area. The location is amazing, right on the beach and feels like you have your own little bay. Parking was easy, right in front of the hotel.
Review 11:Parking is a problem unless you pre-book parking (which is limited and costs 14 euros a night).
Review 12:Great location. Best rooms are the sea view rooms at the front, although side rooms with partial sea view get sun on the balcony in the late afternoon/early evening if you prefer.
Review 13:Such lovely little hotel, right on beach, with the nicest, kindest staff we have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is great, and all home cooked. We cannot praise enough, and will return in the Autumn.
Review 14:Beautiful setting and excellent service at this family run hotel. Loved our stay here! The new restaurant was very good. Luis and Anna were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Hikers - the GR 92 path is just steps away!
Review 15:No bad experiences at all .In fact not only a good hotel but a restaurant whose beach position and up market food would draw you back to eat again and again !
Review 16:Idyllic position , remote enough to keep buses out but very accessible fron Gerona ,Barca' or hinterland Costa Brava !
Review 17:No bad experiences.
Review 18:It was great to wake up and hear the sea, with no traffic. Lluis, Anna and all the people there were friendly and helpful which made for a relaxed atmosphere. Good food too.
Review 19:Nothing, it was all very good.
Review 20:Beautiful location, very helpful, friendly staff. Superb meal, very clean rooms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to others.

Review 43:everything was beyond good
Review 44:location is excellent, right on the seaside, nearby restaurants, facility to walk
Review 45:A small fridge in the room would be good as I prefer a cool glass of water at night. Wifi was a bit hit and miss at times.
Review 46:The location was fabulous I will remember the view from the restaurant for a long time a lovely beach and a great place for snorkeling, staff warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A very good selection at breakfast & the set menu was excellent value for money. The Jazz nights are very good
Review 47:leaving............
Review 48:the feeling that tamariu was in a time capsule . unspoilt spotlessly clean good food and wine a relaxing resort to chill with a good book and take in sea views and fresh sea air.
Review 49:The Wi-fi was slow at night and hard to connect. It was also annoying have to log in and out. The shower went from very hot to very cold with out warning.
Review 50:What a wonderful part of the world a true paradise. The friendly and very helpful staff made our stay a restful and rewarding experience. The resutrant was high class.
Review 51:1) being told I couldn't eat my breakfast at an outside table... 2) my bedroom was quite starkly-furnished for a 100euro a night hotel, but I suppose this is a question of style...
Review 52:1) location - right on the beach 2) food - very high quality
Review 53:There is not much parking immediately near the hotel but you onlyhave to drive a hundred metres up the road to find plenty of publicparking spaces.
Review 54:The hotel is right on the beach in the picturesque bay of Tamariu. Theowners are delightful people who will go out of their way to ensure youhave a pleasant stay. The food is excellent. We had a special Saturdaydinner and jazz evening, with 4 courses and any drinks you wanted forEuros 35 per head. The breakfasts, in the lovely room overlooking thesea, are excellent with a wonderful slection of breads, fruit, meats, cheese and eggs to boil yourself. More elaborate egg dishes can beprovided from 9am onwards. The rooms are well appointed and comfortablewith efficient air conditioners/heaters. The bathrooms are large andhave everything you need.
Review 55:Perfect location. Would definitely go back.
