Review 1：The staff were always cheerful. As two women travelling on our own, any queries or information about the area we needed was answered immediately. The breakfast was probably the best I had ever eaten. Amazing variety of food, including a glass of cava.
Review 2：Bar man was rude and unhelpful. We made the mistake of going to the bar to ask for a drink...he really only serves at the tables. This resulted in frustration and nearly walked out. The man needed customer service training! Go elsewhere for a pleasant drink.

We were woken at 6.30 every morning by the couple in the adjacent bedroom and could hear clearly all the noise from their bathroom.

Review 19：The only negative comment I would make is that sound does carry a little between the rooms so don't be surprised to hear footsteps in the room above you or doors in the room next door. But open the door to the terrace and let the sound of the sea on the beach just a few meters away lull you to sleep and even this is quickly forgotten!

I would recommend to stay there for a short time as there is not much to see but wow it was so beautiful. I missed to return there all my spanish holiday. Hotel has no parking but I saw big parking 5 min from the hotel. If you have a car - great to stop there for a night. I took a bus from Barcelona to Parafrugell and then 15 euro taxi to Tamariu.

The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've encountered, 5-6 nespresso machines with a hot ;milk on tap. Lovely selection of breads, cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, and also hot items including fried eggs. We had tapas in the Mirador bar one lunch time and this was exceptionally good. Overall we spent a very pleasant relaxing week at the hotel and will definetly return in the future.

When we arrived had a small room with only a window where the sea could be seen behind some trees - when booking it was not explicitly mentioned that there is no balcony. Worse was the fact that the room was smelling of old smoke despite being a non-smoking hotel and there was an air-con outlet just in front of our window which was causing noise all night long. This was the reason for our lower rating.
Review 65：The location with the hotel is wonderful. Close to the beach and having breakfast or dinner on the hoitel terrace overlooking the bay is something special. Worth mentioning is the quality of the restaurant - dinner was excellent and staff very friendly.
Review 66：I paid 200 euros for one night in a room with a double bed and a terrace, and was given room 132 with a terrible dark and dingy room where you needed to put the light on in the daytime, with three single beds and a small shady outdoor area without a view, under trees and with a high garden retaining wall up one side. When I complained they said 'what do you expect in Tamariu in August'. I said that that they should at least apologise and offer a discount for such a bad room, and they replied that 'no-one had ever complained before'. They were dismissive and offered little, for a high price, relying on the location and not their service.

Review 91：The description of the rooms is misleading when they state the rooms have a terrace.In actual fact, you only get a small balcony. Also, the majority of the rooms are located to the side of the hotel while the rooms at the front of the hotel you see in the pictures are not available to book on booking.com (according to the receptionist). We complained and we were able to 'upgrade' to one of the rooms with a larger balcony only by agreeing to pay extra and because we were there out of season.

The staff work hard to keep everyone well attended to. The rooms are very clean.The waiter at the upstairs bar/terrace is a real character, a version of Basil Fawlty, great fun.

It cost us a lot of money getting taxis to neighbouring towns. I don't like to drive when there are sheer drops but thought we'd be able to use public transport, this is nothing to do with the hotel but a serious consideration about ever returning to the location

The room was a good size-spacious and very quiet. And was cleaned every day. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful. Their help really made a difference to our hotel.

You had to go upstairs to the bar if you wanted coffee after dinner which was a bit disruptive but no big deal. For the price of this beach hotel, one would expect there to be beach towels available. Also, while the bathrooms have been renovated, the décor in the rooms could use a bit of refreshing - the rooms felt very "basic" for the price we paid. Parking is a problem, but we knew that beforehand, and the staff were helpful to point out exactly where we could park for free round the corner.

The room was also spacious with a small balcony. There was a mini-fridge which was helpful! Also, after check-out we could leave our luggage, spend the day on the beach, then use their showers to clean up before moving on to the next place. I'd stay here again.
