Reviews for ibis budget Belfort
Review 1:I really liked that you could walk into town which was about 1km away and there was an excellent range of restaurants and activities to enjoy there. Great location. Breakfast was good, although a bit expensive to pay full price for an eight year old.
Review 2:Like most people who stay here, I think, I wanted to see the chapel of Ronchamp designed by Le Corbusier. It is an uphill walk, and I was provided with a ride in the hotel car. Transportation from the railway stop is also provided, but you need to phone them.
Review 3:I arrived late and tired. Recepcion was closed and I had to do checkin in a machine... But surprise, someone didnt made his/her job and I wasnt registered in the system and I couldnt. I had to make a phone call and wait until finally someone came and made the checkin for me in the reception. The hotel is not made with cement and bricks, it's more like paper. You can listen even the people walking and talking. If your sleeping is light definetly not your place. Very cheap hotel yes, but sleeping in the car in a fuel station is a realistic alternative.
Review 4:It's near the highway, it's very cheap.
Review 5:We were put in a "family room" which was just two smaller rooms which had been made out of a regular room -- except there were two extremely heavy doors that locked each room -- they couldn't be blocked open. The room clearly hadn't been used recently -- very stale air and the "desk" was dusty -- yet the bed was clean.
Review 6:the bed was clean. No sign of bedbugs. The wifi worked well. The room was warm. The location was convenient to the old city. We weren't charged a great deal for the rooms, so I feel like we got what we paid for.
Review 7:First impression poor. Smell in Hotel. Stairs not clean. Room floor sticky Poor choice for breakfast Rubbish coffee Generally run down If I hadn't been so tired I would have forfeited my stay and travelled on to Freiberg, the Ibus there is good.
Review 8:Close to autobahn
Review 9:First room we were assigned the upper bed wasn't made.
Review 10:Good layout, good stop on the way to Paris. Cheap and would have been great with a little bit of work.
Review 11:Room was very small, bathroom even worse, no lighting in the hallway making getting into room very difficult, waorn out and stained hallway carpets, generally very worn down, pathetic.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:walls in the room seems very thin.
Review 14:after closing reception, there is machine to check in. It is convenient but some part of instruction remains in french. 3 guests are struggled including us at that night. It will be much kinder if whole instruction written in English and maybe in German for who is not used to the machine.
Review 15:The check in machine didn't work so we had to phone for a new code which then worked ok. The door to our room was sticking which meant that I got locked out of the room at one stage and it couldn't be opened from either side. It took about 5 mins of jiggling to get it to open.If you needed to get out of the room in a hurry you may not be able to.
Review 16:The hotel was excellent value for our family and was only a 5 minute drive from Belfort.
Review 17:parking
Review 18:Staff was good cooperative, the rooms were clean and good location to stay if on way to Italy from UK
Review 19:Poor room sound insulation.
Review 20:Clean room
Review 21:room was not clean Light in bathroom did not work
Review 22:price
Review 23:The bathroom looked like a plane bathroom. Entry door wasn't working well. Location.
Review 24:When we left the room
Review 25:Scruffy area off industrial site - broken bottles lots of litter - felt unsafe to walk anywhere.
Review 26:Not a lot!
Review 27:Very basic hotel Noisy as walls are very thin and you can hear the neighbouring rooms
Review 28:Free wifi Free parking Close to the old city centre
Review 29:the first room had not been prepared but the second was fine
Review 30:Easy to locate, good resturant close by
Review 31:Dirty dirty dirty :( cheapness should not mean dirty rooms!
Review 32:The reception people ist terrible. The room ist really small, the bathroom too.
Review 33:The place ist gut, breakfast good
Review 34:the access code for the door was changed without notice, which cause a lot of trouble for our late check-in
Review 35:Apparently the neighbourhood is not safe. I had no problems.
Review 36:Good breakfast Within walking distance of town
Review 37:Noise protection is not of the best quality
Review 38:Location is close to City Center, walking distance
Review 39:Social homes around ... No elevator is luggage must go even higher.
Review 40:Know the room was cheap. There is free parking.
Review 41:Hotel for 1 night, cheap and near the highway.
Review 42:Room was not well cleaned - dead insects and dirt on the floor plus dirty toilet
Review 43:Very good price. Comfortable bed.
Review 44:- no air condition - poor breakfast
Review 45:- good location on walking distance to Belfort down town - spacious room and bathroom - clean
Review 46:The room the beds the lack of oxygen the smell of mothball Bad WIFI Creepy bathroom No sound isolation
Review 47:absolutly nothing
Review 48:Typical Ibis Budget.Good value for money.
Review 49:lack of an evening meal
Review 50:Cleaning stuff started a 8:00 in the morning in front of our room, knocking twice at our door twice very load and making a lot of noise
Review 51:Good value for money
Review 52:The staff booked a wrong taxi to go to the tgv station. It was veryunusual that the taxi charged me for both ways when I only traveled oneway to the train station.
Review 53:Nice Room..at an budget
Review 54:The check in machine did not work after reception hours but there was an emergency number indicated without surcharge. A lady came quickly to open the door and solve the problem. The room was very clean and the light green colour of duvet and walls was delightful.
Review 55:The hotel has obviously been well refurbished but the new floor boards squeaked terribly, it was impossible to move around the room.without the infernal noise. I pity the occupants in the room below.
Review 56:Not the fault of the hotel but on the night of my stay the hotel was full of young Chinese who were unfortunately active and noisy until well in the night. As the rooms are in twos leading off a small hall, one hears two doors open and close and, as there was no light in the hall visitors to the other room often knocked on my door first by accident.
Review 57:The hotel is close to the autoroute. Parking is available at both the front and the rear of the hotel. Check-in was quick and simple.
Review 58:Service is french, I mean, they only speak french and that is a shame. We had problems with the payment because they speak only french. Theworld is bigger than France and they do not know that yet.
Review 59:The room was ok, thin walls, small toilet, a lot of plastic...but forwhat you pay, is fair enough
Review 60:Locataion! Area was full of very dodgy looking young Immigrants, thisarea seems to be inhabited by mainly Algerian youths who hang around atnight, and young girls looking for "Customers" the localmarket only had African/Algerian produce? There was even a condomvending machine on the wall by the shops! Not for people with expensivecars, did not feel safe!
Review 61:Typical Ibis, Clean, comfortable, and good value, decent parking.
Review 62:If you forget to pay the day you are out and have to callsomewhere.reception is empty afternoon. No climate no shampoo.
Review 63:Location is good but there are some bad items.
Review 64:TV was not working properly, it was receiving only 4 channels. Manager told us kids had played with the satellite antenna which she did not know how to reset.
Review 65:Very clean room at a cheap price. Good breakfast also. Easy parking
Review 66:During 3 days, we saw one member of staff, who barely spoke any English. We asked her to order a take away, I was handed the phone and made to do it myself, this was the first time I'd visited france & cannot speak the language. When we required a taxi, we were given the phone again & made to do it ourselves. The most unhelpful receptionist ever award goes to her.
Review 67:The price was good, location ok, about 10 minute taxi journey to train station.
Review 68:No electricity in room went to report this to staff who were very fast to run to a fuse cupboard on second room to reset fuse for room and blew up all electricity in building. I did notice that there were a lot of tripped out fuses in the cupboard. The staff then went and called support on a cell phone. The support was useless as they had the staff phoning several numbers over a period of 1.5 hours and I asked when power would be put back on the staff said they did not know as they did not know when an electrician would turn up. I asked for access to my room (After 1.5 hours) and was refused so I said I would get the police to break in to my room where all my money and passports were. All of a sudden they could open the rooms. I asked for a refund and was told it would be sent to me and my address in Portugal. I will be in touch with my credit card company re the refund. I went to several other hotels locally but none had a spare room. All laugh when I mentioned the electricity failure. It seams it is common knowledge with the other hotels that Ibis Budget has regular power failures. I was in the computer industry for 45 years and know something about fuses and fuse boxes and the one in that building was NOT in good condition with tripped fuses on all rows. I think the building was electrically unsafe. The staff in the building were cleaning cum reception staff and were only following instructions none of the above should be held against them other that they refused entrance to rooms to retrieve bags again probably company rules. The main failings were the IBIS procedures and I think a long standing fault with the power system in the building
Review 69:The Ibis Budget surely lives up to its name. Despite the room being very clean and what seemed to be pretty well equiped with shower, LCD TV and Free WIFI they failed to miss a vital item. Yes there was no waste bin provided in the room at all which when faced with dirty nappies and food packaging etc was not ideal. Also we were only provided with 2 pillows between 2 Adults and 1 child (18 months). When i requested more they didnt have any available and had to take them from another room.
Review 70:The Ibis is closely located to the Autoroute exit and has most local ammenitites at hand from fuel station, Lidl & a very good Kebab Shop across the road.
Review 71:I know this is a budget hotel, but I still expect to have hot water for a shower. Despite talking to the receptionist, the only comment I got was 'it is the same in all the rooms. The water was not even tepid! The breakfast was really bad. I did not expect a lot, but the bread was so old we couldn't eat it. In the end, all we had was orange juice.
Review 72:Thought I would like the price, but in the end would rather have paid double and had hot water.
Review 73:Room had no electric so had to change rooms and then door would not close properly, change in room was not logged so was then allocated to another guest and then room entrey card stopped working.
Review 74:The breakfast was basic but on the second morning there was no breakfastor staff on site. We could only access the fridge, everything else waslocked up so started a 400 mile journey on corn fakes and yoghurt withno drinks. I have emailed the hotel, in fact I did it using theirwireless whilst trying to find something to eat, but haven't had aresponse yet a week later
Review 75:Clean fresh budget accommodation, just a 10 minute walk from the OldTown
Review 76:See above No electricity or hot water. It seemed it went Off about 2hrs after our arrival. We got there one hr before the receptioniststarted. The machine check in did not work. We had to Wait outside tillshe got there
Review 77:There was no electricity or hot water in our room. We were still made topay full price because the Receptionist had no authority to make anydiscounts. We should get some sort of refund. We had 2 rooms both hadthe same problem.
Review 78:Extremely nice and clean. Would come back anytime!
Review 79:Problems with access to internet
Review 80:The staff were very friendly and helpful
Review 81:I ordered a double room for the internet, BUT the hotel changed it to be a smaller room and three beds without my permission.
Review 82:the colour of the room
Review 83:Close to metro station, quiet hotel, good value for price:)
Review 84:it was impossibile to have informatiins about the city and the restaurants from hotel staff.
Review 85:Location is good, not far from city centre
Review 86:There was not air condition and the building is constructed with plastic or something similar, so it was terrible hot inside.
Review 87:Hardly any staff who speak little to no English.
Review 88:Simple, clean rooms. Good value.
Review 89:Staff helpful. In the middle of renovations so they did their best.
Review 90:Convenient location, near motorway and close to facilities in town. Goodfor overnight during travelling.
