Reviews for Réseau in Sarlat
Review 1:Parking about 5 blocks away, though it is possible to drop off luggage at apartment and then go park. City map provided in materials ahead of time was wrong about free parking lots. Driving into town during market was challenging. Steep steps, and there are three levels to the apartment.
Review 2:Two bedrooms, each with bathroom. Comfortable dining-eating-kitchen area. Very clean and well-stocked. Short walk to downtown, with restaurants, bars, shops, market. We had wifi, but some apartments from same agency do not, so check. So nice to be inside the city walls. One of our favorite towns on this trip. Great apartment for activities through the Dordogne Valley.
Review 3:We had a little difficulty finding the apartment on a Sunday when the office was closed, and we weren't able to find the free parking from the map they provided us. Everything got straightened out the next day when the nearby office was open.
Review 4:The location of the apartment, almost adjacent to the cathedral, was excellent, and the apartment was very large and well-furnished. We loved staying in the heart of Sarlat where we could walk everywhere. The staff in the nearby office were friendly and helpful.
Review 5:One disadvantage was the parking, have to park some distance away which was a little difficult with early flight from bordeaux
Review 6:Lovely well furnished gite in a fantastic Central location, minutes from amenities
Review 7:Managed by an agent and when the lights failed the first night the Fuse Box could not be identified. Total darkness couldn't read the agents telephone number to get help many stairs highly dangerous in the dark. When agent advised could not make a decision to refund part of the first night charge and could not understand why we had not rung them they lost many points for their lack of understanding and failure to understand the DANGER of that failure.
Review 8:Central location.
Review 9:The only thing I could suggest is that it would be great if short term guests could buy single washing powder and dishwashing sachets or similar, to avoid having to buy full containers.
Review 10:Gorgeous renovated townhouse in beautiful location. Great rooms, heated floors in the kitchen, laundry, near a bakery and the main shopping street. Would definitely stay again.
Review 11:Nothing
Review 12:The position in the town is excellent. It is in a quiet side street, but minutes from shops, restaurants, and the town centre. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable with a lovely patio. The staff in the office, which is a minute or two away from the apartment are very helpful and friendly, and we had free internet access from their office whenever we wanted it.
Review 13:Parking was a problem. There were no free parking spaces. We had to get up early to go and pay at the meters.
Review 14:The facilities were so good it was like home from home. ideal with a kitchen, dining area and kitchen.
Review 15:Being there for two market days meant early setup noises, but that is easily remedied by having earplugs It might be a problem for some.
Review 16:Being in the old center of town was wonderful! It was near everything. It was beautifully remodeled and comfortable.
Review 17:An apartment in a 16th Century building overlooking the ancient market square in a medeaval town in Perigord Noir in France? What's not to love! Everything about this was wonderful!
Review 18:The apartment was not very clean, particularly laundry and kitchen ware.
Review 19:Apartment Josephine is in a fantastic location in the old town. It has lots of character and we learned a lot about Josephine Baker - the inspiration for the apartment.
Review 20:Our apartment was very centrally located and very nicely equipped and decorated. The staff at the rental office went truly above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were traveling with another couple so we got to see their apartment also, both very nice.
Review 21:Bathroom a bit small. Generally very clean, but could have paid a bit more attention to the bathroom and kitchen.
Review 22:Lovely, convenient location. Beautiful courtyard. Decorated with charm and comfort in mind.
Review 23:No wifi in the apartment. It is only available in the office which is nearby but only during office hours so not on Sunday.
Review 24:The apartment is lovely and very comfortable and the location is excellent
Review 25:It would be useful if the self-catering apartment came with some basics such as soap in bathroom, salt/pepper/oil etc. for cooking.
Review 26:The apartment was lovely and central and had great outside space. Very clean and attractive. We only had communication with the company via email as our arrival/departure times were late at night/very early in the morning, but all communication was helpful and friendly.
Review 27:because we had a little dog with us we had to walk a little way to try and find any type of grass so we could take our pet to the toilet and the shower pressure was not too good.
Review 28:The location was fantastic, right in the centre of town and all the action. I would rate this apartment higher than a 3 star, beautifully appointed.
Review 29:Lacked basic toiletries (toilet paper, hand soap). Very central so prepared to be woken in the night - especially when the dustbin cart does its rounds!
Review 30:Friendly greeting, beautiful traditional building, very clean
Review 31:This apartment is absolutely amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. The living and dining rooms are huge, as are the beds. The bathrooms are both great and the kitchen in large and well equipped. The location is unbeatable, you have a huge number of amazing restaurants, shops and everything the old town has to offer right on your doorstep, but with free parking only 2min away (a car is a necessity when travelling in this area). The service and responsiveness provided by the agency looking after the property was exceptional, and they are only one street away if needed. By far the best apartment we have stayed at during our European travels.
Review 32:The apartment smelled terribly of smoke :( it's wonderful being being right above such a popular restaurant, but smoke from that and other tenants was really very strong. I also thought the couch in the apartment was pretty terrible.
Review 33:The location!!!! It is EXACTLY where you want to be in sarlat!
Review 34:The weather was extremely hot. An electric fan would help.
Review 35:Excellent location, right on the main square. Facilities are great (including kitchen and a wash machine) and clean.
Review 36:There were no amenities like soap or extra toilet paper which was very inconvenient for a two night stay. Also kitchen is very dim and needs more light.
Review 37:Clean well located apartment. The position is very central and convenient to the village.
Review 38:Parking was not very convenient for unloading and loading the car with airplane hold baggage and a young baby.
Review 39:Excellent location in a back street of the medieval town. Liked the outside balcony
Review 40:The living room area is very cramped, as is the bathroom. The photos of a large room, red sofas, fireplace, etc. used in advertising the place do not relate to the apartment we rented.
Review 41:Sarlat is a wonderful spot to use as a base when exploring the area. This apartment was nicely situated for that.
Review 42:Has many stairs... yeExcellt the rooftop view is worth it!
Review 43:Great for self catering or eat out. Very central to historic Sarlat, yet quiet and private. Excellent service from book in to book out.
Review 44:Difficult to have it all especially in the centre - a balcony would have been nice and the living area can be a little dark if the sun is not out.
Review 45:The top bedroom is very light and comfortable. There is a very good bakers just around the corner.
Review 46:Everything was great we even found a parking spot for free and it was only 5 minute walk from our apartment, no problems at all
Review 47:great location Beautiful apartment great self catering to cook and buy in our own food
Review 48:The space was well laid out. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The location was perfect in the beautiful town of Sarlat. Very quiet on a pedestrian only square
Review 49:If you have a bad knee or hip, this location is not for you. No lift and it's on the third floor. No issue for us but a warning for others.
Review 50:The apartment was purely delightful. Quaint and comfortable in every aspect. The view was fun to watch the people below.
Review 51:The problem was that parking anywhere close to the apartment was impossible. I had to park a 10 min walk away and go back out late at night when all the other tourists had left town to get a closer parking space. Also, there was no elevator, so I had to leave my suitcase in the car and carry a plastic bag with each day's worth of clothing up the 3 story spiral staircase after walking at least 5 mins from the car.
Review 52:The apartment was beautiful and right in the middle of the medieval city.
Review 53:We didn't get the room we originally booked, but we goat another one that was still very nice at a reduced rate.
Review 54:Great location in Sarlat at an excellent value.
Review 55:Bathroom not user friendly. Nowhere to put anything in shower (soap). Sink a poor design. Overflowed as it drained very slowly. No instruction for use of microwave or cooktop for those of us not from Europe.
Review 56:The location was fantastic-on a quiet square. a quiet building with good security. Chairs and bed comfortable and good range of channels on TV. The CD player was a bonus
Review 57:Apartment had no emergency supplies of any description, even the toilet paper ran out within 24 hours. We have never struck a self catered apartment that has not even had a tea bag left behind! Even the salt & pepper shakers showed no evidence of previous tenants. Parking was said to be near at hand but is in fact 400+ metres away. Paid parking close by has 2 hour maximum.
Review 58:Apartment was of reasonable size and well located close to the town main square.
Review 59:Free parking area was a good 5 minute walk from the apartment but that is to be expected if you want to stay within the old town.
Review 60:Extremely well equipped apartment in the village close to the main square. The village itself has a spellbinding atmosphere. Many attractions within easy driving distance.
Review 61:Inaccessible by car. Ground floor was used by adjoining cafe as storage and left the external door open all of the time - unsecure.
Review 62:Central location. Good standard of appointment. Plenty of space.
Review 63:Proximity to convenient and free parking. This was not establishment's fault, as it is in medieval town, but clearer directions of where to park would be helpful.
Review 64:Location, decor, rooms, especially loft, kitchen appliances and cutlery and plates, responsive staff (via email).
Review 65:The apartment lacked a minimum cleaning: the bathroom floor was full oflong black hairs, the loo had suspicious yellow spots and the woodenfloor was sticky. We had to clean it ourselves. You have to pick up andreturn the keys at the landlord's office, which is at the other sideof town. Not very pleasant if you arrive by car after a long journey andmove around Sarlat trying to find the place. Sarlat in summer is adifficult place to move around by car, and you have to find smallstreets away from the public car parks to save lots of euros in parkingtickets or fines.
Review 66:Perfect location in the heart of the medieval town. Be careful if youarrive by car, you just can't enter the old city, so you have to getthere walking
Review 67:The bathroom was in need of refurbishment. It was hard to stand up in the shower due to the sloping ceiling and the fact that the shower head couldn't be raised any further. (and I'm not a tall person!) The communal stairs were a bit shabby and didn't set the right tone for the apartments.
Review 68:Apartment was well equipped and well furnished. Very characterful in a prime location, close to all the restaurants and bars. Check in was very helpful and informative. Wi-Fi was excellent.
Review 69:Apartment exceeded all expectations. Well appointed, in city cente and near all things,in the Dordogne Valley. Free parking within 5 minute walk. Tons of great restaurants. If you love foie gras and truffles, you are definitely in the right place. Also fabulous wines and in general great food. Family friendly area. Also can be very romantic for a couple. We LOVED it!
Review 70:Few items missing from our room which were included on the itinerary. Broken dishwasher front which hadn't been fixed. Apartment could do with having more bin bags and things like washing up liquid, extra toilet roll etc.
Review 71:Location was perfect for exploring Sarlat. The staff were really helpful on arrival and gave tips for great places to eat. The apartment was comfortable and clean.
Review 72:Somewhat hidden charges (minimal tourist charge highlighted but exorbitant cleaning fee hidden behind "special conditions". No dishwasher as per booking.com website. Bed and bath linen not provided and this not made clear by booking.com
Review 73:Check-in staff Location Authenticity of a village stay in France
Review 74:1. The washer/dryer needed to come with directions! 2. Le Boudoir stairs were challenging and in need of upgrading. There were several lights out and though requested, never fixed. Windows needed cleaning.
Review 75:1. La Gite du Coc was perfect- our favorite lodging of our three week trip to France. Comfortable and charming. The kitchen was well equipped. 2. Once inside, Le Boudoir was charming as well.
Review 76:We found the office closed when we arrived a few minutes before 7pm, even though they said it would be open. We had made an effort to let them know beforehand our time of arrival, so this was very unsettling. As the apartment was very hard to find, and after a long day traveling, this was a bad start to our stay. Then there was no follow up to make sure everything was in order after check-in. Would like more information about activities and restaurants in the apartment. Didn't like liquid soap sachets
Review 77:Great location. Helpful staff (once you spoke to someone.) Great apartment
Review 78:Owner/operator was very friendly and helpful. Room, was spacious, clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Location is excellent, convenient and a nice view. Free parking just 5 minutes away. Breakfast is very good. Highly recommended.
Review 79:There was often insufficient hot water for 2 people to have showers in the morning. I would have liked a mattress protector on the bed. Lighting in the bedroom was not really sufficient.
Review 80:Excellent location. Beautiful apartment that has been recently renovated. Quiet. Aircon. Free wi-fi. Very well equiped.
Review 81:The hot water flow, especially to the bathroom, was poor and the heating of water fluctuated quite a bit. Could be improved with a service check perhaps.
Review 82:Good sized apartment, comfortably furnished, plenty of linen, well located in the busy old town. Agency staff were welcoming, timely and very promptly resolved the one problem - a small water leak from the kitchen mixer.
Review 83:nothing
Review 84:everything, great accommodation in an old period style building, we really felt like local citizens!
Review 85:Heating of the property was managed by the owner next door leaving us cold
Review 86:Location in the centre of Sarlat was perfect

Review 88:Nothing bad at all
Review 89:Property exceptional Quality bedding, bathroom kitchen Beautiful clean Would recommend highly
Review 90:Our location was brilliant but no doubt because of end of season. Right on main square of the old town. Very helpful in Reseau office. Thanks Damien.

Review 101:The whole experience was first class from start to finish location and apartment excellent

Review 103:Not even a sachet of soap on arrival.
Review 104:Excellent location. Plenty of space.
Review 105:The square is quite noisy at all times of the night and day
Review 106:The location and the view from the window over the square
Review 107:The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations for facilities, comfort and location
Review 108:It's not easy to get enter because the key is so an old type.
Review 109:Every equipment to stay longer is there.Nice view from the window.
Review 110:Location, wifi
Review 111:Loved the location and the property.
Review 112:the unique apartment, the location and the staff took a good care with all instructions
Review 113:small windows
Review 114:excelent location in city centre, appartment space, bed,
Review 115:there is no reserved parking space
Review 116:location of the accommodation itself
Review 117:Location
Review 118:Close to everything, very comfortable and clean with all the amenities you could want for a great stay in Sarlat
Review 119:As Residence in Sarlat consists of many varying apartments in different buildings around the old city, the comments are misleading. I booked two apartments but they were in different parts of city and not at address on the map. Stairs in Gite du Coq are very steep. Basic provisions were not provided eg salt and pepper.
Review 120:Location in the medieval city
Review 121:Wonderful location right in old city! The apartment was SO comfortable and modern! Greet to have a washing machine and a very rare outdoor area considering it's location! We loved our stay'
Review 122:A bit difficult to find management office and wifi was not working 100% of the time
Review 123:Nice place with great location. Easy walk to all of sarlat and easy drive to most tourist sights.
Review 124:Bed felt like it was in a cave a bit. Lacked windows. Didn't know there wasn't air conditioning. No maid service every day, just on exit.
Review 125:The location was perfect. It was a quiet room and very large. Felt like a little home.
Review 126:The reception and communications were perfect! Damien was very helpful, concise, friendly. The apartment location was in the old part of the town, very close to all activities. Everything was well kept and clean.
