Reviews for Le Morillon Hôtels-Chalets de Tradition

Review 1:Acoustics in hotel weren't great, could hear doors banging late at night & early morning - but only a small issue.

Review 2:The food in the restaurant was fabulous - highly recommend. Staff were also super, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Review 3:WiFi connection was slow.

Review 4:The staff was really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. The swimming pool was nice. The rustic style of the hotel building was beautiful. Lovely place!

Review 5:Après ski drink and cake would have been nice even for an extra charge.

Review 6:Cosy atmosphere, decent restaurant, friendly staff, orderly boot room and nice but small pool and jacuzzi.

Review 7:Initial room in loft was cramped. Blue run to ski back to hotel was closed due to lack of snow (obviously the hotel cannot be responsible for the weather)!

Review 8:All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We were allocated a room in the loft space which was rather small so were moved to a more spacious room with a lovely view from the balcony. Set 3 course meal in restaurant was lovely and good value.

Review 9:The chef clearly knows his trade. The standard of cuisine we experienced at dinner on four evenings was first rate. I doubt if better can be found in the area. Also, for a small hotel, the sauna/steam room/pool facilities were very good indeed.

Review 10:No foreign channels on TV, Internet kept disconnecting on iPad and iPhone

Review 11:Very friendly staff, close to cable car for skiing, excellent SPA and pool, good food

Review 12:Would have liked tea/ coffee making facilities in room.

Review 13:We travelled with two young children (3 and 7, their first time skiing!) and made to feel very welcome by all. Food in restaurant very good and pool was great at end of days skiing.

Review 14:Room a bit shabby and bland in need of refurb. Inadequate lighting. No kettle! We bought one for €10 in Carrefour and some mugs. Wifi only allows one user at a time so we had to have a rota which was a bit mean. Shower room pokey and dark and we would have liked a bath to soak afger skiing

Review 15:Pretty hotel, comfortable beds, good jacuzzi, pool, steam room, sauna. Lovely reasonably priced meal in restaurant. Very close to cable car in centre of pretty Morillon

Review 16:Our room (on the top floor) was not quite as nice as some of the pictures. It was absolutely fine but wasn't as great as the rest of the features of the hotel. It was certainly acceptable for the money but it could have been fresher. Had to hold the shower hose rather than having it fixed to the wall. Not great.

Review 17:The staff (Thomas especially) are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was great at both breakfast and dinner. Hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the lift. Bed was large and very comfortable. Steam room, sauna, pool (bit cold) and jacuzzi (not as hot as it could be) give you a lovely way to unwind after a day's skiing. Room was very clean and refreshed daily. Great bar for relaxed pre-dinner drinks.

Review 18:The self catering apartment is a bit mini-sized for 5 and we were 4 only, I would say for 3 it is comfortable

Review 19:Good location in center of morillon village, Nice little swimming pool with yacuzzi and sauna Receiving discount renting ski from ski 2000 because we are guest in le morillon Not far from ski lift

Review 20:Food and staff excellent.

Review 21:Rooms small and a little cold, however somebody said their room was too hot and the reception gave us a fan heater

Review 22:Food was fantastic

Review 23:Staff were fantastic- very helpful and knowledgeable. Hamman after skiing was excellent

Review 24:Wi-fi not really available in room

Review 25:Staff, pool, jacuzzi

Review 26:Great hotel wonderful staff highly recommend

Review 27:nothing

Review 28:5 star food and restaurant service friendly staff spacious, comfortable rooms

Review 29:Size of room

Review 30:Friendly Staff Spa

Review 31:no tea and coffee in the rooms had to continually log on to wifi

Review 32:very friendly staff easy access to slopes delicious food

Review 33:Staff very friendly

Review 34:Lots of road noise from rooms facing the road

Review 35:Excellent swimming pool and spa. Close to Lac Bleu for activities in the summer.

Review 36:Very quiet town in summer - not many others around.

Review 37:Lovely traditional rooms, nice pool area, friendly staff.

Review 38:We preferred the simpler rather than the more elaborate dinning options.

Review 39:Very attractive hotel and obviously refurbished. Good to have the steam room etc after skiing

Review 40:Would have eaten in hotel in evening if price of meals was more competitive. Cost of breakfast was high (although choices were excellent)

Review 41:Excellent service - problem with light bulbs in our room sorted out immediately. Very friendly, lovely rooms, staff very helpful, good views of mountains, off road, safe car parking included in price, shops/pharmacy nearby

Review 42:Just 1 bar in the whole village Jacuzzi water sometimes too cold

Review 43:Spacious room Friendly staff Good breakfast Nice spa facilities Close to ski lift

Review 44:Excellent food, perfect facilities after a days snowboarding.. Sauna, steam, jacuzzi and pool...literally 100 meters to the main lift for theGrand Massive

Review 45:The waitress at the restaurant was a little rude, but very busy.

Review 46:The rooms were nice, only a little small. The food was very good, but alittle expensive.

Review 47:Shower not powerful enough. Bed not comfortable. Not enough choice on the menu.

Review 48:Location was excellent! Very clean and modern. Staff very pleasant. Food ok. Room size excellent!

Review 49:Breakfast was included and it was very good value. The room was spacious and full of interesting old things. Some people stay there to visit a gastronomic restaurant in Nuits St George called Chez Simon, otherwise there is a folder that has details of recommended local restaurants. It is owner run and the owners speak little English.

Review 50:This is a wonderful traditional hotel which offers comfortable rooms. The people who run it are very helpful, very easy to deal with and very fair. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come again - winter or summer. it's brilliantly located in the middle of Morillon. Spa/Pool also perfect.

Review 51:A very nice traditional hotel in a lovely town with great views of themountain. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Not to big butnot too small either. I was only passing through on my motorbike on dayone of my holiday and was very proud of myself for picking a perfectplace to relax after a long ride through Italy.

Review 52:hotel was a bit tatty in areas - eg broken bedside lamp in room, worn carpet on stairs leading to our room

Review 53:food and comfort of beds way above average especially for a 3* hotel.double room was of adequate size. An easy 200yard walk to the main ski lift . Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 54:The room needed a makeover, bed not so combatable; the staff apologized for the room condition and said we got the last and poorest room available.

Review 55:The staff was friendly and help full. Breakfast was English breakfast style and really good. The restaurant was serving gourmet food. The spa, pool and wellness were super. Ideal locations for skiing in Grand massif, main lift within walking distance and the return city pist ending across the street. We would love to stay there again.

Review 56:The rooms are not very big and the standard room for a couple doesn'thave door at the wc. We had to get a room for 6 to avoid that. And thefact that although they say there is a gym there, in fact there is onlytwo transports in a resting room of the sauna. But I would stay thereagain, for sure.

Review 57:The staf, extremely kind and urging to help in all ours needs. Therestaurant, with great view, great food and great breakfast. And thedesign, rustic and charming. We forgot our cel phone somewhere and weasked the manager to send it to us, when returned. They send it inthe same day.

Review 58:the spa facilities where poor as the hot tub didn't work and the pool was freezing

Review 59:the staff/food was excellent

Review 60:Only the madress in the room were a bit hard for me.

Review 61:In total the hotel is fantastic, the food excellent and the service as well.

Review 62:The traditional wooden chalet feel. The breakfasts. the view form balcony

Review 63:Location excellent, Nice little pool and lovely sauna and steam room. Food good, very nice breakfast.

Review 64:some rooms have small bathrooms and the lighting is poor.

Review 65:lovley outside seating area, pool dinning .and views are stunning.

Review 66:The relaxed yet professional atmosphere added to our holiday experience. Would definately go back. Lovely staff.

Review 67:We stayed in a triple room which was a bit small. Would have been OK as a twin.

Review 68:Food in the restaurant was 5 star, probably the best in the village

Review 69:Very good hotel located 5 minutes from telecabin and no uphill walk.village very small nice and peaceful we would stop here here again.

Review 70:Hotel dining seemed expensive

Review 71:Friendliness of reception staff, comfort of hotel rooms and location

Review 72:Breakfast an expensive extra

Review 73:Facilities for skiiers

Review 74:Having to come home!

Review 75:Warm welcome Genuine friendly service Exceptionally clean Appetizing meals Refreshing pool and jacuzzi

Review 76:have no complaints

Review 77:food was excellent and good value for money

Review 78:The village itself is a bit sparse.

Review 79:Lovely relaxed and friendly hotel. Good spa facilities. Good food.
