Reviews for Son Bou Playa Gold
Review 1:Didn't like the ants, smelly sofa & dusty draws.
Review 2:Best thing about our stay was the location. Son Bou beach is clean, child friendly & beautiful.
Review 3:Nothing to dislike!
Review 4:Very clean and tidy. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable. Being the first week in October it was off season and nice and quiet.
Review 5:NO bad experience but had the feeling that because we had booked NOT directly with Menorca apartments that we were being "shoved to the back of the pack"...a little!!!!
Review 6:Everything about the apartment.....no complaints whatsoever....lovely location and like everything in life..."you get what you pay for"..we were perfectly satisfied.
Review 7:the son bou restaurant has a lovely pool but the manager there in the restaurant /bar is arrogant and does not like English people he spoke to people terribly and does not smile and seems to me like others I spoke to felt the same and did not go back at night ..the restaurants like the Indian ,Chinese restaurant and the Italian restaurant are great and great food .overall a nice place but not so friendly restaurant on site .
Review 8:please book the gold apartments' as they have all the facilities you need washing machine etc.
Review 9:The price of using a cot and a highchair in room. We thought would be free but was 40 euros for 10 nights. Maid service twice in 10 days wasnt the best but they left plenty of towels but hardly any toilet paper.
Review 10:Lovely place. Not as new looking as pics look, but still very nice. Aircon in all rooms of appartment, washing machine, and a safe. All things you need in the kitchen, toaster, kettle, microwave etc. We stayed next to san jamie complex, which 5 euros per sun bed. Quite pricey but you get it back at the bar/restaurant so we saved up tokens, which you can redeem in restaurant and we had a meal with them. Its 10-15 mins flat walk to beach. 10 mins to restaurants and bars. There are about 12 restaurant and about 6 bars. Lovely for families, especially with young children. Its a very well maintained complex. We would return.
Review 11:We traveled on the 24 april, we were not told that the pool that came with the booking and just about everything including supermarkets were all closed and would not open till the 1 may, for anybody disabled or without transport this would be a disaster as the only cafe/restaurant was a very long walk away, please be advised travel after may 1st, as everything will be unavailable.
Review 12:The apartments were clean and tidy and very well equipped
Review 13:The shower screen did not do its job so the bathroom was flooded every time it was used and I think this is why the apartment had a fusty smell.
Review 14:Position was good as we had a car. The apartment spaced well so did not feel on top of other people.
Review 15:Cheap, uncomfortable beds and pillows. No international tv, limited range of Spanish channels only.
Review 16:Having a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Review 17:Sulphurous smell in apartment, but not huge problem. Alaior was an odd place. We went there for a festival, it's a town built on a hill with narrow streets and no real focus so wouldn't really recommend it. Didn't really like Cala'n Bosch too commercialised, although prob better nightlife for teens.
Review 18:Beach was excellent, large, clean with crystal clear water Menorca Vacations staff could not have been more helpful, hospitality pack in apartment, we were given umbrellas and mats for beach free of charge, taxi'd back and forth on arrival and departure, excellent shower facilities in their offices to use if on later flight. We really could not fault them. The resort did not have loads of bars or restaurants, but what was there was good quality with friendly staff, particularly the young girl in the Irish bar. Alessandro's restaurant served the best mussels ever! Lovely bakery nearby. Not a resort for teens as not much night life, but great for a relaxing beach holiday. Mahon was really lovely, with a good market on Tuesdays. Hired a car and saw most of the beach resorts, Cala Galdana very pretty as was Fornells. Loved Menorca and will return for another visit.
Review 19:Light fitting with dead flies in.wifi waist of time, long way to get groceries, no sunbeds for top apartment,
Review 20:Milk etc left for us when we got there.
Review 21:Far end of town swimming pool hours very restricted , it would be a bit of a squash with four adults.
Review 22:Price was very reasonable
Review 23:bit of a long walk to the beach
Review 24:beautifull apartment in great condition
Review 25:Complex was fantastic and staff very helpfull.
Review 26:no dishwasher
Review 27:Clean, quiet, nice territory
Review 28:Beds could have been better
Review 29:Great location, the apartments are very good.
Review 30:Availability of staff on site. Frequency of cleaning. Clarity ofinstructions for key return. None of these comments are strongnegatives.
Review 31:Well equipped spacious apartment. Basic supplies for fridge.
Review 32:Quality of beds (hard&small), many tourists (mostly english), poor variety in supermarket.
Review 33:Helpful staff, location, beach, facilities like swimming pool and restaurants, Thomas the tank engine passing our appartment several times a day.
Review 34:The apartment was in a great location, the beach and the main resort of Son Bou a 15 minute walk away. It was very comfortable and clean and outstanding value for money.
Review 35:Lack of choice as far as English and German TV channels and no WiFi available at the pool restaurant. No deck chairs on the balcony. Poor kitchen equipment.
Review 36:Peaceful in the evening and privacy.
Review 37:Nothing!! We went a little bit out of season so a lot of the stores hadclosed for the winter, but we expected this!
Review 38:Staff were so friendly, came to settle us in despite not landing untilafter 10pm, and were always available on the phone and by text withrecommendations for restaurants and bars. Facilities are excellent, andthe apartments very good sizes for the money. Ours had the most powerfula/c I've ever had, satellite tv and a nice terrace overlookingthe sea. Both rooms were good sizes with double beds too. One of thebest beaches on the island is 10mins walk away and plenty of selectionsof bars/shops/restaurants to choose from and proximity to themotorway means you can be Mahon/Ciutadella/Fornells in 20mins.Definitely found a gem with a fantastic staff.
Review 39:Weather - it rained

Review 42:Sofa in living room not that comfy
Review 43:Staff were really lovely and couldn't do enough for you would defanately go back there
