Reviews for Espace Bernadette Soubirous Nevers

Review 1:Wifi was only accessible in one common room. We couldnt even access our own mobile wifi in our room. No access to tea and coffee making facilities anywhere in the building.

Review 2:The buildings and gardens were nice. The food was good, basic fare.

Review 3:nothing

Review 8:The Building is Fantastic location very good

Review 9:Very sparse and basic rooms. Some interior decorating would make them feel the rooms a bit less sterile.

Review 10:Clean and tidy. Great to have secure bicycle storage.

Review 11:Perhaps tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms might have been a good idea?

Review 12:As mentioned above, had a great weekend, excellent location,as the purpose of our trip was world superbikes at magny cours, only 9 miles away.

Review 13:Staff couldn't find my booking.com reservation. I had to insist that I did have a reservation, and they eventually found it. It's not easy to find the vehicle entrance, but once you've found it, car parking is good. The coffee at breakfast was appalling, but for the price I didn't expect better. It seems popular as a hostel for groups, and I didn't appreciate one noisy group arriving in the early hours of the morning.

Review 14:As I'd expected for a room in a former convent, the room was basic (single bed, wardrobe, table, wash basin) and spotlessly clean. I had a view over the central garden. The bed was comfortable with 100% cotton bedlinen. Toilet and shower facilities were down the corridor, but perfectly adequate. It's a calm place to stay for local sightseeing.

Review 15:Wifi in only one available at location. Bathroom felt like I was in a mobile home.

Review 16:Staff is friendly and helpful. The building itself is stunning, with a beautiful surrounding.

Review 17:Thin walls between rooms - noisy neighbours on both nights of my stay. Although catering excellent, meals had to be pre-booked quite early, which isn't made entirely clear

Review 18:Good budget accommodation. Immediate Hot Water! Excellent catering.

Review 19:Shared bathroom

Review 20:The experience. The staf very very helpful and pleasant I would strongly recommend this for a stop over. For anyone interested in St Bernadette

Review 21:The fact that it is convent where St. Bernadette's body lies - the purpose of our visit. Very quiet and peaceful place to meditate and make a personal retreat. I would definitely go back, if given the chance.

Review 22:Not enought facilities for disabled person. But I was assured that theyare working on this.

Review 23:Silence. Friendliness despite not being able to speak french.

Review 24:I was not prepared to stay overnight in a convent. I Booked last minute and did not read the advert quite well... When I arrived, "office hours" were past and there was nobody to receive me. I am grateful to the lady that said she did not work there, but seemed to know her way around! She could lat my car in and show me my room.

Review 25:The whole place is beautyfull and stunningly claen!

Review 26:I loved being able to stay in such a wonderful old building and the garden was beautiful. All the staff were very kind and helpful. It was possible to be peaceful and quiet and/or to meet other interesting travellers.

Review 27:If you are the type of people who would like to be out after 11pm, l'ermitage is not a place for you.

Review 28:L'Ermitage is run by a religious order, but they are very relaxing.

Review 29:Sat nav packed up en route. Had downloaded directions from google as a back-up, but were next to useless. So difficult to find without sat nav.

Review 30:Evening meal. Simple, but superb value.

Review 31:Minor setback: We paid dinner for two (2), but the kitchen personnel was not informed of our presence. Had to go outside the compound to find a restaurant. The next day, we had a hard time getting refund for the meals we didn't have. I
