Reviews for Castel Beau Site Hôtel - Spa

Review 1:Reception staff when we arrived were very unhelpful. After we had dragged our luggage up a flight of stairs they asked if we would like assistance and told us that there was a lift we could have used. At no time did the receptionist explain the facilities of the hotel or offer suggestions about the area. The shower in the room is tiny and the lighting in the room is very poor. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon the village was overrun with day trippers.

Review 2:Great seaside location, very out of the way. Very good cooked breakfast and value for money, nice bar for afternoon and evening drinks and excellent restaurant with very helpful and friendly manager.Resaurants in the village offer great choice and high quality of food.

Review 3:Fabulous setting with gorgeous views from balcony and great walks locally along the pink granite coastline. Super breakfast, attentive and charming hosts.Hope we can go again some time.

Review 4:Bathroom is a triumph of form over function - especially the tiny loo and 'rainfall' shower.

Review 5:Located on stunning cove on the pink granite coast.

Review 6:Amazing hotel, fantastic location, loved the outdoor hot tub over looking the sea. Couldn't find a more stunning hotel and location, lovely staff too, we will be back !!

Review 7:No wardrobe space furniture tatty. Quality of fittings in room it very good. Overall pretentious - particularly in restaurant and bar areas

Review 8:The location was fantastic

Review 9:small room, paid parking a bit much when considering cost of accommodation.

Review 10:Lovely location with fantastic view, walk to restaurants within 2 minutes. Great walk along the hill tops again with amazing views.

Review 11:This is a quality establishment with high standards. The room design is very practical and the fixtures and fittings bright and modern. The restaurant is excellent and breakfast very good value with a wide selection of items from the buffet and the kitchen. The views are superb.

Review 12:What I didn't like shouldn't defer you from going, they are more nigglings, annoying but solved somehow in the better hotels in Dinard and Rennes which I reviewed on this trip. The reception and bar don't work. The spaces are small so should be better integrated as they are in essence one public space. The bar ignores the sea and the view behind, it's white plasticity and changing led lights are better suited in a basement. It's sad as few people used the bar - the local village has no alternatives so this is it. The bedrooms have no hanging for clothes - the designer has no idea how people travel. It's annoying in what claims to be a 4 star luxury hotel. I also suggest the word "spa" is not appropriate for a very public jacuzzi and no real spa space.

Review 13:The views from the hotel are one of the two reasons to come here, the other is the fabulous walking path along the coast. The hotel sort of works but with a few changes could be fabulous. It's faults are in the interior design which is a pity as the building, it's location and position right on the sea are brilliant.

Review 14:There is no air conditionning nor fans in the rooms - though it's true that the temperatures in Brittany are not that high, it can get pretty humid right by the beach. There is a "petit dejeuner express" option on the restaurant's menu, but you can't have it delivered early to your room.

Review 15:Friendly staff, amazing view, hotel with private entrance to the beach, terrace lounge, free access to jacuzzi, very good breakfast, high quality pastries (try the yogurts - they are out of this world). Very convenient if you want to hike the gorgeous "sentier des douaniers": just walk through the beach and you can start!

Review 16:Difficult to say - very little if anything!

Review 17:Incredible location, literally next to the sea with great views. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was simply divine. It was lovely to relax on the terrace just a few metres from the waves.

Review 18:Have already recommended to all my friends

Review 29:nothing

Review 30:all the bar, amazing bartender

Review 31:The vieuw was perfect!

Review 32:not much. The way the bathroom is set in the midle of the room is not the most convenient, but that's barely detail ;)

Review 33:The location is just perfect ! The hotel is very nice and comfy, perfect sense of deco. The staff is very nice and breakfast is great. Hopefully be back for a short break :)

Review 34:Dinner & drinks a little expensive, but that's to be expected at a location such as this. The service didn't really meet our expectations, although the staff were friendly.

Review 35:The stunning location and the colourful modern decor-quality all the way.

Review 36:The staff were off hand and the service was very slow.. They all seemed cross with something. (Maybe being overworked) The toilet in our room smelled badly of urine.

Review 37:The location is fantastic. The building and the facilities are very good.

Review 38:Not being able to stay there for the rest of my life. It's not a budget option.

Review 39:Possibly the best view from a hotelroom one could have. Very nice surroundings, pretty village, good for walking and hiking, suberb food in the restaurant... What else was super? Ah, the jacuzzi of course.

Review 40:We found that ultra modern design does not always mean "useful". The closet was not enough even for 2 nights stay, and there was less space to put bits and pieces. Friendly service at the restaurant was not very professional, though it was acceptable. I had a dinner 2 nights in a row, but the wines I ordered were both sold out.

Review 41:We were lucky enough to get one of the corner rooms with more than one window, and it was very spacious. Its modern shower was very comfortable. The restaurant served decent sea food, and the daily menu was reasonably priced. Overall, we definitely loved its really sea front location!

Review 42:Nothing. Everything was excellent.

Review 43:The view is fantastic. The staff and service were impeccable. The dinner was an excellent meal for the price. Great, gourmet food.

Review 44:Size of room. It was very small for two people
