Review 4：Superb setting with views over the Bay of Calvi and surrounding mountains. Close to beautiful beaches and facilities but situated in a quiet country setting with excellent swimming pool and very comfortable rooms. Our hosts could not have been kinder and helpful.
Review 5：Nothing to do with the hosts or accommodation, but the wind could drive you a little crazy! It was unseasonably windy though (end May).
Review 6：Everything about the stay was perfect. Pre arrival, contact from Bernard was helpful and friendly. The day we arrived (with very precise instructions on how to find the location), we were shown to our room (Chantilly) and invited to share a glass of rose on the terrace. The house is fabulous. Newly completed and overlooking the bay of Calvi with its citadel. The location is stunning and tranquil, yet close enough to Calvi and Ile Rousse. The pool is heated and swimming with a view of the sea and Calvi was a dream. Bernard and Valerie have gone to the effort to provide an outdoor coffee machine and mini BBQ for those who may want to stay by the pool and eat, a very thoughtful touch. The rooms are cleverly designed to not overlook one another, with terraces offset slightly so you have privacy. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was wonderful with viennoiseries, homemade cake, yoghurt, homemade jams, cheeses.....Even on departure the hospitality continued, with Bernard inviting us to share a drink and some homemade biscuits. The recommendations for eating out were also excellent and we can recommend U Fanale for the views and good value food. All in all, a fabulous place to stay with genuine, friendly hosts.
