Reviews for Hôtel Les Trois Luppars
Review 1:Although clean and comfortable the rooms are small particularly the shower and toilet with limited supplies of toiletries
Review 2:Good location central to Arras and square Friendly staff
Review 3:We didn't have a nice view from the bedroom .i was expecting a view onto the square ,having said that the room was quiet
Review 4:Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice
Review 5:The location was excellent, right at the centre of everything, room was comfortable but a little small, breakfast is continental and plentiful + quality
Review 6:Very unfriendly. Overcharged me by adding 20euros to my bill. I stayed 2 nights and they said I had to pay 20 euros extra for the 2nd night. I did not argue as I just wanted to get away from the place. I asked if they spoke English and they replied by saying " No - do you speak French "
Review 7:Nothing at all. I would never stay here again
Review 8:no drink licence!
Review 9:Very convenient location in the middle of Arras with good parking nearby. Ideal for families as rooms have a connecting door. A fantastic breakfast in well decorated cellar
Review 10:Rooms are very basic
Review 11:Excellent location in a beautiful city. Good range of restaurants on the doorstep Shops near by and a market near by the Grand Place on the Wednesday we were there.
Review 12:I had an unfortunate experience at breakfast where someone had put a de scaling tablet in the hot water dispenser but not removed it. Salty tea - not pleasant! Our room smelt of smoke although we'd requested a non smoking room when booking.
Review 13:This hotel is in a brilliant location on the Grand Place. It is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Arras. Bedrooms are very basic but adequate. Staff are friendly.
Review 14:There's plenty of parking in the square opposite but it becomes rammed on a Friday & Saturday night so if you're on a bike make sure you park against the underground car park wall next to the road as the local driver's were not overly careful when parking.
Review 15:Great central location with a comfortable room at a reasonable price. Didn't eat breakfast but looked pleasant enough.
Review 16:Elevator door wouldn't close properly and felt questionable, so we used the stairs.
Review 17:Nice breakfast and great location for visiting Vimy War Memorial.
Review 18:The hotel's position on the Grand Place is terrific, and it was an easy hotel to find by car coming in from the north. A huge choice for breakfast, but no warm food.
Review 19:On arrival I read the ' review us' sticker request. Inside - an amazing but total & conscious indifference to guests' arrival - why ask people to review your hotel if you make no effort at all?
Review 20:Brilliant location on Grand Place with easy parking
Review 21:A beautiful historic hotel right in the centre of town where we were welcomed most cordially and humorously. Comfortable quirky room and perfect breakfast.
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:Fantastic breakfast in lovely old room, friendly staff, comfortable room overlooking the square, free Wifi, parking in square in front of hotel, excellent location
Review 24:Very helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Comfort and cleanliness throughout the hotel. Easily accessible. Relaxed atmosphere. Great value for money.
Review 25:Breakfast a little expensive. Parking a little difficult but that was probably because it was the Fete de l'Andouille
Review 26:Excellent location on main square. Friendly staff. They put us in the building at the rear of the building to avoid the noise from the fair on the main square
Review 27:The location was perfect. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was beautifully presented and there was lots of choice. My sister is a coeliac and was really impressed with the amount of gluten-free breakfast items. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower was good.
Review 28:Simple and unpretentious, this was a very nice hotel in a lovely town. Good family room - we liked the separate toilet and the bathroom shower.
Review 29:Not a problem for this stay but no aircon so could be warm in hot weather.
Review 30:Traditional no unnecessary frills hotel. Very well located for the town. Clean, excellent Internet and comfortable.
Review 31:Great breakfast in the cellar, excellent location about an hour from Calais. We stayed in July and the square outside had a city beach and all children's activities we free. Weather can be cold even in summer. Great place for a couple of nights.
Review 32:Room small, bed small and not very comfortable. No free parking available within a suitable walking distance if travelling with luggage but was advised by staff where paid parking was available at a reasonable rate.
Review 33:Excellent location within in walking distance to main tourist sights. Helpful staff.
Review 34:Only it was hard to find the acceptance clause for wifi on my android tablet and it took time to puzzle out why it wasn't working. It would be useful to put a note in the rooms.
Review 35:Location. Wonderful cellar breakfast room. Availability of gluten free, soya etc.
Review 36:Nothing.
Review 37:Excellent city centre location, right on La Grande Place, and occupying the reputedly oldest building in Arras. Easy distance to car parking and restaurants etc. Staff friendly and speak/understand English well. Very popular with British visitors, especially those on battlefield tours. Wi-fi very good.
Review 38:much confusion over parking. Paid about 11 euros in the end to park underground because on saturday we might have been moved from public parking in The Grand Place for a market, but in fact we were leaving early and could have stayed above ground. Language limitations on both sides
Review 39:in back extension, well off square, and was quiet, while at same time being so central
Review 40:Single 'petite' room a little too small. Coffee/tea making facilities in room would have been good.
Review 41:Great location and very clean and quiet.
Review 42:Arras is great. The hotel is on a square surrounded by beautiful old buildings with plenty of nice restaurants in them. There were a lot of activities on the square during our stay.
Review 43:The parkin was extortion 11e pear night on WiFi available when I was there only one member of staff on on air condensing
Review 44:The hotel is in a excellent location good breakfast
Review 45:Nice hotel with friendly staff. Had a quadruple room to myself, lots of space and Wifi worked throughout. Right next to the main squares in Arras, but not noisy. No complaints.
Review 46:Smell of tobacco smoke in the reception area, lift and landing. NB. Absolutely no smell in the bedroom
Review 47:Liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness if room.
Review 48:Areas is a beautiful town and this hotel was very welcoming: we arrived and made a decision to swap our Eurotunnel journey back the next day to a Zeebrugge - Hull trip due the Calais blockade. The owner helped us printing out all the details. Also breakfast was fantastic!
Review 49:A great location right on the Grand Square and we were lucky to get a front room with a view over the square. Plenty of great restaurants close by. Parking was in the Grand Square (pay and display)
Review 50:Breakfast charged at 9.50 Euros each even for children made it expensive especially as there was no hot food or toaster. Generally decor needs updating.
Review 51:Lovely room with view over the square. Separate toilet and bathroom. Comfortable beds and very clean. Dining room in the beautiful vaulted cellar. Staff very polite and relaxed.
Review 52:Only a stool to sit on, I prefer a chair and don't like sitting on the bed to watch tv. A better understanding of english, I did try schoolgirl French and it was a bit of fun.
Review 53:They have a lift, very clean room and bathroom, helpful. Didn't have the breakfast but it di look very nice. Comfortable room
Review 54:Accommodation very basic. Reception lacked friendliness. Parking described as free - it's not, except over night on public parking.
Review 55:Nothing to recommend
Review 56:Absolutely nothing to complain about
Review 57:Location in one of the main squares close to restaurants and museums; rooms with a view; very good breakfast spread; lift to all floors
Review 58:Hotel retained some features of original 15th century building. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Superb location on Grand' Place in centre of Arras. Plenty of free parking close by
Review 59:As with most city centre locations and older buildings street noise can be a problem, though some rooms are at the rear of the hotel and much quieter.
Review 60:Location on Grand'Place, staff friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast.
Review 61:Accueil chaleureux à la réception, directions pour Arras disponible. Chambre très propre et petit déjeuner complet et servit dans une salle remarquable
Review 62:Decor dated, pretty basic hotel, shower rather old, but it really didn't matter much.
Review 63:Hard to fault for the price. Great location, clean room, terrific breakfast in the basement.
Review 64:We woke up to find a bug in the bed - not a good feeling. Another similar (dead one) was under the glass ashtray in the room - perhaps a message from the previous guests?
Review 65:Amazing to stay at a historical building in the centre of Arras - there was no aircon, but there was a radiator for colder weather. Staff were welcoming & breakfast adequate.
Review 66:Great location for visiting Vimy Ridge and war cemeteries - we were travelling with Canadian cousins. They loved this traditional hotel in historic square in centre of Arras. Parking easy. Immaculately clean and comfortable enough room although some very low beams in ours. Breakfast very good. Lovely and friendly staff. I managed to leave my orthopedic pillow there and it was posted back to me this week. Many thanks. Merci Madame!
Review 67:Great location easy parking outside on the square Judging from our room I would describe it as a clean, friendly, basic hotel in an excellent location. Not posh or swanky but more than adequate. Breakfast was superb and served in the cellar. The staff were helpful and it was great value for money. I would happily stay again.
Review 68:I parked in a spot where I got towed the next morning because of a market. There was a warning sign on the counter when I checked in but I did not see it and it was not brought to my attention! It cost about 150 euros and a couple of hours of my time to deal with it.
Review 69:I do like to have a cup of coffee while I'm getting ready in the morning and so a coffee pot would have been nice. It should also be noted that the rooms, and in particular the bathrooms, are very small however they were clean and comfortable. I understand that other parts of the hotel are currently undergoing renovation and so this may be resolved in future.
Review 70:The hotel is located within minutes walking distance of all the key activities that we wanted to see in Arras. Attractions, shopping, restaurants, movie theater, car rental and train station were within easy walking distance of the hotel. We were given the option of breakfast for a minor additional charge and received a variety of options including coffee, juice, cereal, croissants, charcuterie and more. Lots of reading material on the main floor, free wifi and friendly staff made our stay very pleasant.
Review 71:We were in the upper floor room which has low beams for the 'A' Frame and I am over 6 ft. But as the building is medieval there is not a lot that could be done to alleviate this! You just have to remember to duck!
Review 72:Central position in Grand Place, underground parking opposite (no reduction for motos!) Good breakfast in the cellars with great atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 73:It sounded as if we were near an underground station. Not sure if rooms on the back would have been quieter.
Review 74:Very central with restaurants conveniently locally placed.
Review 75:Toilet and shower room both tiny, décor overall rather dated.
Review 76:Location was great, room warm, quiet and comfortable, a good buffet breakfast with some lovely home made cakes.
Review 77:No problems with hotel. Bar close-by, on other side of road, was a bit of a 'dive' and served us stale beer!
Review 78:Very easy to find and masses of parking in square. Pleasant staff and excellent continental breakfast with considerable choice. Several restaurants, serving different tastes and budgets in square. Will definitely stay here again.
Review 79:The hotel is within the centre of Arras. It is walking distance from the train station (10 minutes) shops, restaurants, bars cinema etc. The owner is helpful and friendly. Love the old beams of the hotel.
Review 80:The size of the bathroom and toilets. They were exceptionally small
Review 81:The location in the grande Place was excellent The staff were pleasant and helpful The breakfast was quite generous The hotel was very clean
Review 82:A better pillow would have improved the comfort of the bed. There was no heating in the bathroom, the one radiator in the main room had to serve for both. There was no kettle tray, drinks can be bought from reception inside a time window but late at night or early in the morning no hot drink could be had. Smoking was clearly allowed in the room as there was an ashtray and a distinct smell of musty old smoke when I first arrived, as a non-smoker I found this unpleasant and happily it faded as my week passed.
Review 83:The staff were efficient and obliging. The standard of cleanliness was very high. All the things worked well e.g. TV, plumbing. Quiet room and a great night's sleep. Very fast wi-fi. Excellent breakfast, all you can eat from a buffet of cereals, bread, croissants, butter, jams, cheeses, fruit etcetera with tea/coffee/chocolate on request. Great location, signposted from various parts of Arras. Assortment of books, board game for the use of guests also newspapers and tourist guides/leaflets.
Review 84:Situated one the Grand'Place, Les 3 Trois Luppars is a beautiful old building in walking distance from many historic sites related to WWI and the middle ages.
Review 85:There was an ashtray in the room, so smoke could be a problem, though my room didn't smell of smoke at all.
Review 86:Location on the Grand Place, but the room I had looked onto an inner courtyard and was very quiet.
Review 87:Hotel is spotless, breakfast is fantastic with home made cakes etc. has character and right in the heart of Arras
Review 88:Location and being the oldest building in Arras
Review 89:Hard pillows and the bed was a bit short.
Review 90:Location, proximity of parking and breakfast, were excellent.
Review 91:Small room, overpriced, smells of smoke, expensive breakfast, noisy central heating
Review 92:Location
Review 93:Small bath No toiletries Mo tea or coffee Parking difficult too
Review 94:Good position value for money
Review 95:Clean comfortable and good value
Review 96:No licence so have to go out to have a drink
Review 97:Family accommodation with connecting door to each bedroom
Review 98:It is a budget hotel and perhaps the price could reflect that a bit more.
Review 99:Location, view, room and staff.
Review 100:Central location. Clean
Review 101:central to Arrass with plenty of bars restaurants in walking distance and parking on the main square opposite

Review 114:single room was very small with very little headroom due to sloping ceiling
Review 115:location
Review 116:Great location and a brilliant breakfast. Great host.
Review 117:Small room
Review 118:Lack of facilities Asked for view of squae, got view of old back yard.
