Reviews for Petit Hotel Ses Rotges

Review 1:-The view from the room was over the rooms of the hotel across the street - The breakfast was too expensive and not flexible - the safe was operated by a key (a code would be better)

Review 2:the charm of the hotel, nice personnel, clean rooms

Review 3:Double bed was uncomfortable with two single mattresses and very hard joint between them.

Review 4:Staff is very friendly and professional. Breakfast is very quality and tasty. Location is very quiet and in 2min walk to the sea. Hotel is full of character.

Review 5:The hotel and patio were gorgeous!! Very old mansion and interesting decor. Breakfast on the patio was an experience not to be missed!! Gourmet meals, friendly staff, gorgeous setting, and only a short walk from the beach. Absolutely fabulous!!! Book immediately!!!

Review 6:The pillows were very hard - softer ones should have been offered. That was our only gripe.

Review 7:The ambience The staff - see above The food - breakfast on the terrace was just perfect. We ate in the restaurant twice - both times the food was, by a country mile, the best to be had in the resort.

Review 8:Room fairly high price given the decor and slightly dated bathroom.

Review 9:Great location. Lots of character. Lovely family hotel. Spotlessly clean. A great feeling of quality. Superb restaurant with gorgeous internal terrace. Food amazing

Review 10:The hotel offers an 'Oasis of Calm' in Cala Ratjada. Friendly and very professional staff. Ambience of Courtyard for both breakfast and evening meal was excellent. Gourmet dinner expensive but worth the cost.

Review 11:The staff do need customer service training. In fairness the receptionist that checked us in was polite and friendly, but beyond that their was an older German lady who seemed to be in charge of the restaurant (we only had breakfast) was very curt and abrupt to say the least. We went for breakfast Sunday morning 10ish. It was served outside on the terrace we went out side their was also a younger Spanish I think. We were not initially greeted or shown where to sit so we took the first available table we were sat their for over 5 minutes not that their was a rush but when your sat down nobody has achknowlaged you were their and not sure as to whether it's a served breakfast or a buffet type. I asked the younger girl what we do and she was quite abrupt in saying something like someone will be with you..... Then I asked the older lady when she came back again quite abrupt I asked her was it a buffet or served she replied Tea or Coffee oh I thought I replied coffee for two black please then she almost barked out to start muesli or do you want porridge I asked do,you have skimmed milk reply.... No full fat milk only so we decided to refrain from muesli I had scrambled egg my wife opted for boiled well my scrambled egg would have fitted very nicely on a saucer no tomato,or anything at all my will was served one small boiled egg. Their was a basket of bread 4 tiny rolls 4 tiny pieces of bread then their was some cheese and Serrano ham my god if we were hungry then we would have had to go out to get something else. Let me tell you,we are not on any way shape or form huge or even large eaters. I asked for some more bread. She actually said which would you, like I almost felt like a little boy being naughty asking for some more bread......then there was the pastry plate she mentioned well one tiny and I do,mean tiny croissant and the same with chocolate in the middle.Okay that over with.

Review 12:The hotel is a wonderful building with lots of chrarcter and a lovely ambience. The hotel the rooms and the public area's we visited were verb clean and very nicely appointed

Review 13:A very clean and well maintained hotel with friendly, helpful multilingual staff in a quiet street a few hundred metres from the promenade. The excellent breakfast are served in a beautiful, surprisingly peaceful courtyard garden.

Review 14:small shower a lot of noise from the hotel accross the street, specially the fountain. missing a pool...

Review 15:very silent rooms good beds friendly reception parking always available close to sea/harbor

Review 16:As a family of four – two adults, one four year old and one juvenile (14 years) – we had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Ses Rotes. Rooms were clean and service couldn’t be better. We enjoyed our first class meals underneath the palms in the beautiful back garden – that is gourmet restaurant in night and a wonderful, tranquil place for breakfast in the morning. The staff was helpful, professional and friendly. Hope to see you again soon!

Review 17:Noisy at times on street- traffic, gangs of people coming out of clubs etc, due to poor soundproofing. VERY expensive food- 15.5 euros each for breakfast (lovely) cannot compete with other local options, and set menu for dinner at nearly 40 euro pp was just too much for us. Loads of lovely restaurants nearby, and meant we didnt get to spend time in our hotel as we may have wished :(

Review 18:authentic Spanish decor/style/charm, a bath not just a shower, lovely terrace, a lovely 5 minute walk to beach in the best part of the resort. handy for harbour and all restaurants.

Review 19:location, hotel, professionalità e cortesia dello staff.

Review 20:Everything, just a joy to stay there.

Review 21:Colours of the garden. The originality of the hotel. Attention to detail.

Review 22:EVERYTHNG!

Review 23:No Pool

Review 24:Very friendly staff, central, clean, quiet...

Review 25:- Price of food

Review 26:- Location - Garden - Staff - Food - Interior

Review 27:Nothing.

Review 28:Excellent central location 3 minutes walk from the seaside and its many restaurants. Small hotel with a quiet family atmosphere; discrete and very professional staff. Very good beds.

Review 29:One small problem the lack of car parking,in the end the hotel directed us to a secure location.

Review 30:This stay was excellent, very central to all amenities. It was very clear from our arrival that this Hotel is family run, every one went out of their way to help. Thanks to everyone for their assistance.

Review 31:There was nothing to dislike

Review 32:Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff that is tucked away in a quiet aprt of town but within a short stroll of the sea front with a wide selection of good restaurants

Review 33:Location-near to beach but not on top of it and the same for the town. the beautiful garden parking for clients toilet and bathroom separate quiet air conditioning that wasn't noisy

Review 34:Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby and on the first floor hallway. My avacado bathroom fixtures although in good order were a little dated.

Review 35:The ambience, especially in the garden. Although the hotel is situated close to the main street the garden is an oasis of quietness. The breakfast is served to your table which is well dressed with clean linen tablecloths and patterned china crockery along with a linen knapkin. Exquisite

Review 36:I didn't enjoy the old decor of the hotel. After arrival and spending time in back garden due to the cats presence and dust I developed allergy symptoms.

Review 37:We liked the restaurant and how convenient it was to have it within the hotel. The food was excellent. Hotels location is also very good. It is close to the local beach but yet not on the busy street making it a quiet location.

Review 38:free wifi only works near the lobby

Review 39:Beautiful cozy rooms finished in high quality materials. They provide luxurious soaps and shampoos, which is a nice bonus. This was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our road trip around Mallorca.

Review 40:Firstly the website describes the resort as a quiet and charming little village on the northeast coast. The only accuracy in this statement is the fact it's on the northeast coast. There is very little choice at breakfast and we were only offered only 1 type of juice and cereal. When asked if I could have a poached egg the reply was 'no' which seems odd for a business purporting itself as gourmet. This is not the way to treat paying customers in my opinion! The hotel itself is a beautiful building but much of the space isn't really used and we felt we spent all our time in either the room or the garden because everything else seems to be off limits. For example you eat outside and have no choice. On the whole the staff are very helpful but some could be a little over-bearing and actually quite condescending. The Wi-Fi coverage is poor and as a result you have to weave your through people sitting on the stairs to the lobby which seems to be the only place to get a signal. All in all although the hotel did have some good points we found it poor value for money and we stayed in much better hotels on the Island for far less money. For this reason we would not stay here again.

Review 41:The check-in is very good and the private car park is very convenient. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings and the food was divine and the setting fantastic despite the odd bit of noise from revellers passing by.

Review 42:The environment around Son Moll is quite ugly.

Review 43:Hardworking friendly hotelier french-spanish family. Excellent service and very cosy, clean and comfortable rooms. I imagine the hotel is even nicer in spring and autumn as it is very cosy and a bit old fashioned in a nice way. Cala Gat is beautiful reminding a bit of Cap Ferrat in Nice.

Review 44:I have stayed at this hotel three times now and I love it. The ambience is relaxed and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and the food/wine are fabulous. If you enjoy dining al fresco then the outdoor restaurant is a lovely setting.

Review 45:Drunk German tourists Fights breaking out under my window at 3 am Bottles being dump and broken at 5 am

Review 46:Well managed Beautiful hotel Nice location

Review 47:Fabulous hosts and lovely gourmet meal in restaurant. Room spacious and comfortable. Good location - in town but minutes from beach. Quiet at night. Beautiful traditional decor.

Review 48:A word of warning - the location on Google Earth was wrong, and the townabounds with one way streets. As a result the SatNav tells you you havearrived and are outside a nightclub - rather daunting. You need to beback up the street but it is a one way so you cannot. I have reportedthe error. Google also shows Carrer Rafel Blanes instead of Calle RafaelBlanes. TomTom follows the error and so do all SatNav systems that taketheir data from either of these sources. I suggest if you can you set afavourite for the corner of Carrer de Ses Roges and Carrer Rafel (sic)Blanes before you go.

Review 49:A small hotel, and because of that it does not get the star rating thatit would if stars were for quality. Three floors of a delightful oldMallorcan finca or town house, with its own garden traditionally plantlined that is the outdoor part of the restaurant where we also tookbreakfast. Lovely people, speaking a vast range of languages fluently. Icould identify at least English, Spanish, German, and of course theirnative French. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit, followed bycereal or egg if you wished, and a basket of bread, rolls, croissantsand pain au chocolat. We had dinner one night, and it was so good we went back. Not for you if all you want is to be stuffed full on pizza or tapas, but if you want wonderful flavours beautifully presented, you will love it. Gourmet dining. We had a view to the sea from our window, only 3 streets away, and could walk to the promenade along the front where there are many cheaper (and not so nice) places to eat all the way to the harbour. Walk the other way along the coast and you reach the small bay of Es Moll where there are beach umbrellas and good swimming.

Review 50:There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Review 51:We have stayed at this hotel before and we knew that we were going to enjoy another relaxing break in a luxurious quiet hotel .Very friendly family run hotel. The breakfast is out of this world, eggs cooked to your liking, smoked salmon, homemade jams, delicious fresh breads and pastries, fresh fruit and coffee, all in a delighful courtyard setting. Cannot wait to return.

Review 52:Very little we did not like about this hotel. If I had to choose something I would say the pillows were quite hard but that would be it.

Review 53:The staff were amazing. Run by a family it certainly felt a home away from home. excellent food in the restaurant, with a lovely romantic atmosphere. Lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden. Fantastic location to all beaches, in particular Son Moll. Just lovely, will definitely go back with my husband.

Review 54:Lack of pool or area to relax during the day which limits your options during the holiday.

Review 55:The staff were very attentive and friendly. The quality of the room was good and cleanliness excellent. Breakfast was good in a very beautiful courtyard. Hotel is situated one block back from the beach and harbour front which is great.

Review 56:Noise form the kitchen late at night.

Review 57:The attention to detail in the decor - old Spanish style. The lovely breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 58:Family run small friendly hotel with tons of local character. Very well situated for the sea front with loads of restaurants to choose from. Shops for all your needs are close by too. Once inside there is no noise from outside to disturb. Breakfast in the courtyard was delightful.

Review 59:There is a discotheque near and sometimes (daily:), youngsters after-partying on the streets..Plus, the streets smells bad..This was the only negative thing and it is not because of this truly quality hotel.

Review 60:Friendly staff, quality, hospitality, good location, flair.

Review 61:It's located in the street of some of the town's discos, so you could hear the young german tourists going to and from the disco during the night. Still, if you keep your window closed and air condition on, you will hardly notice this.

Review 62:The staff was really service-minded and very friendly. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed the design of this hotel. You feel like you stay in a house from colonial times. The breakfast was superb, and very pleasant to start the day in the "patio" being served the breakfast. The location is very good as well, a short walk to the beach in the morning and a short walk for dinner in the evening (if you don't eat at the restaurant in the hotel).

Review 63:Breakfast was excellent, smoked salmon, eggs, coffee, rolls fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurts all waiter service - but expensive - would havebeen happy with with something simple and buffet style - and cheaper.

Review 64:Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable hotel rooms

Review 65:Lovely peaceful hotel, great breakfast, great staff. Perfect.

Review 66:Perhaps a choice of softer pillows.

Review 67:Staff were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Review 73:Wifi only worked in the lobby.

Review 85:Ummm....nothing!

Review 86:Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, great French food at the hotel's restaurant.

Review 87:Superb french family run small hotel with excellent food and wine

Review 88:The location - 2blocks from beach side and center of cala - with all restaurants near by, and 8 min drive to cala mesquita.!!

Review 89:absolutely excellent--finest holiday i have ever had.

Review 90:Atmosphere old fashioned...Restaurant far too expensive..no friendly menu for guests of the Hotel.

Review 91:Beatiful garden. Good breakfast

Review 92:Very comfortable, very friendly, we are very glad.

Review 93:It was home away from home.

Review 94:The welcome, excellent food, presentation, excellent taste, quiet, excellent location. Hospitality brilliant.
