Reviews for Résidence Hôtelière Du Golf

Review 1:There was no local restaurant open on a Monday night.

Review 2:The best and most important thing - a comfortable bed. So rare! Lovely hot, powerful shower. Very helpful receptionist who ordered pizzas for us after a very long car journey and they were excellent too. All together, good value for money and I would recommend.

Review 3:One or small issues e.g. New shower curtain needed, some up-dating of the decor needed. Fan rental would be a very good idea as it was boiling hot!!

Review 4:Location was superb. Friendliness of staff. Swimming pool was excellent.

Review 5:Beds were dirty, sheets were questionable, we found dirty tissues behind the bed, rooms are worn out (and not cheap), wifi is non existing at the rooms and entrance was not closed in the night so we found people (not staying in the hotel) sleeping at the reception area

Review 6:The location of the hotel and the pool

Review 7:Parking a nightmare. We did not book a space as website said not necessary to reserve a space. In was told there were no spaces and that I should have booked. Eventually a space was found for us. There was only a sofa bed or bunk beds in the room. Dreadful to sit on as a sofa bed and dreadful to sleep in. It made into 2 separate beds in middle of room.... And had to be assembled which was quite heavy. Hopeless!!!

Review 8:Location was fairly good .... A walk into St Jean de luz 10 mins.

Review 9:Poor kitchen and arriving (16h) and departure (11h) hours.

Review 10:Very interesting residence we discovered on our way from Spain to France. Good accommodation with direct access to the swimming pool. Not so far from Saint Jean de luz ans the stuff was very pleasant. We loved our stay there even if the kitchen accessories were poor but enough for a quick breakfast or meal after bringing the necessary ingredients from the commercial center 5min walking away from the residence. I recommend.

Review 11:We went out for dinner and the staff did not give us the code to get back in the front door. Luckily they had left instructions for a late arriving guest which gave the code.

Review 12:We were a party of 5 and so the apartment accommodation was ideal (2 bedrooms and sofa bed) and a good price. It was also close to the centre for restaurants and local shops the next morning.

Review 13:We have stayed here 3 times now and I can see it needs some updating. It is only 3* but the cleanliness has deteriorated. The beds are basic and on arrival you are expected to make them up. Kitchen utensils are limited but there is a dish washer.

Review 14:The pool is very good. It is cleaned thoroughly every morming. It is situated about a 15 minute walk from St Jean and is very dog friendly. The balcony overlooking the pool is lovely. There are lifts for the disabled.

Review 15:Location is excellent for golf, but in a residential area 15 mins walk to centre of St Jean de Luz. Not really apparent when booking. Accommodation adequate, but badly equipped for serious self catering. Power points all in wrong places and illegally located.

Review 16:Good base for touring around, golf course on your doorstep.

Review 17:Place needs updating.

Review 18:The receptionists are very helpful and would go to great extent to help guests out. The area is about 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of St Jean de Luz and about 10 minutes away to the train station where you can connect and take a day trip to lovely San Sebastián, Spain.

Review 19:Ceiling fans or air con would help as it was extremely hot and difficult to sleep. Beds not overly comfortable and could've done with extra pillows.

Review 20:Spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, clean lovely swimming pool, clean communal areas, helpful staff and great location.

Review 21:Pillows! We've stayed before so brought our own this time.

Review 22:The reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a great base for our holiday.

Review 23:Location

Review 24:walking distance to St Jean de Luz

Review 25:Kitc henette, bread delivered to door, pool, spacious terrace

Review 26:Proximity to Saint Jean de Luz - easy walk over the bridge. Pet friendly. Nice big rooms, well equipped.

Review 27:Lots of noise from the street, needed to make your own beds, breakfast possible but only when dressed in acceptable attire.

Review 28:Beds were OK

Review 29:Location excellent, lovely swimming pool

Review 30:The Massive noise from the street. The room was dirty when we arrived. Lack of green area

Review 31:Good balcony, and good WiFi

Review 32:long walk from the town.....not disabled friendly.taxi service lousy

Review 33:Reception staff were exceptionally helpful

Review 34:bed comfort no extra toilet paper too big sheets and blankets should be washed regularly.

Review 35:wifi access, location and friendly staff.

Review 36:Friendly welcome, clean, well equiped apartments, comfortable - all in a great location. The quality far exceeds the charge.

Review 37:Near to town and railway station, quiet, comfortable room

Review 38:Bed not comfortable.

Review 39:Value for money

Review 40:great little apartment for short stay. fantastic pool! comfortable beds. nice bathroom. great location.

Review 41:Set up the bed dressing yourself

Review 42:Nothing

Review 43:Friendly place. Very close to town centre and beaches. Staff excellent and very helpful. Pool spotlessly maintained.

Review 44:Wi fi poor, no double bed.

Review 45:Balcony, kitchenette, drying rack, storage.

Review 46:Slightly dated and furniture was functional more than comfortable.

Review 47:Nice airy apartment in walking distance from town centre. Underground secure parking was superb. Staff were friendly.

Review 48:Bathroom fittings need some attention

Review 49:Staff are always smiling & helpful Very good location for accessing St Jean de Luz Good price for the location and spacious rooms Had an issue with hot water that was resolved straight away

Review 50:For a mature couple in early November the apartment was a bit sparse. The seating in the living area just wasn't comfortable and the beds too low.

Review 51:The position relative to Golf Course. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Review 52:Loved it all.

Review 53:Only stayed one night but super stopover from St Malo, lovely walk into town by river, lots of restaurants to choose from and brilliant breakfast at golf club.

Review 54:Nothing really. It's a good 3* Hotel and we would stay there again. A bar or restaurant on site would have been nice but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Review 55:The rooms were clean, comfortable and have a really big balcony. We had a room overlooking the pool and it was lovely and quiet. The hotel is approximately a 20 minute pleasant walk to St Jean du Luz. The staff were very accomodating and having a dog was no problem at all. The underground garage was well worth paying for because at times it was very hot and I would imagine during high season parking could be difficult.

Review 56:Beds were hard and double bed not available.

Review 57:You received what you paid for. It was central and easy to walk to centre of town and all major facilities.

Review 58:We liked the hotel arrangements, including eating breakfast across the road at the lovely golf club. There was ample underground parking, and a decent sized and well kept swimming pool. We enjoyed the walk by the river into town.

Review 59:Serviced apartments whereby only 1 set of towels and sheets for the week and you made up your own bed.

Review 60:Large clean swimming pool, location - shame no bar. Although the apartments are equipped some could have some more equipment including wine glasses and a kettle and tea cups.

Review 61:The sliding glass doors didn't have screens & a huge bee flew into our room. Luckily my husband got it out before it stung either of us or our 2 young girls.

Review 62:That there were plenty of extra pillows & blankets. There was everything we needed & we didn't have to ask or search for anything.

Review 63:thought we booked 2 rooms with double beds , to find we had 1 room and the other very cramped room with bunk beds , not suitable for our freinds which made it difficult. Asked if there was another room available to be told no with out looking on the computer ! Our bed cover had dog paw marks on it so was not clean when we arrived . Shocked when we checked out that we had to pay a local tax charge which there is no mension of before . If we were a family on a tight buget this could be difficult. Also find the deposit very large just for 3 nights €300. which we were also not told about before .

Review 64:It was near where we needed to be .

Review 65:The location. Quiet location by a picturesque river yet only 10 mins walk from the centre of St Jean de Luz or 5 mins from Ciboure. Swimming Pool was good.

Merci

Review 67:Very clean and spacious with a lovely pool, would definatley reccomend, it was nice and quiet and relaxing considering we have to very small children!

Review 68:When we arrived we were told we would have to clean the room and thetoilet before we left, for this reason we were asked to give a 300.00Euro deposit (the last time I had to clean my accommodation I wasstaying in a youth hotel at a cost of 10pence!! ) we were then shown toa dirty room with wet towels and were told we had to make our own bed !!camping is easier and more fun, we complained and were moved to a cleanroom but still had to make our own bed, we did not move out as we had topay in advance and it was not refundable, the worst aspect was the lackof value for money we can stay at an Etap for less than half this priceand you do not make your own bed or clean the room or bathroom

Review 69:Nothing much although the second room we were given was large and quitecomfortable

Review 70:The apartments are far too small, the furnishings are spartan and thebed incredibly uncomfortable. The quiet residential road in which theResidence is based turned into a busy road after midnight and sodesperate was I for sleep that I spent the night after 3am in our car inthe car park!

Review 71:The staff were extremely efficient and helpful.

Review 72:The lift

Review 73:The pool

Review 74:Its location close to St Jean de Luz, walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 75:Sunny balcony and view of golf course as I requested

Review 76:A little shabby and very limited kitchen equipment

Review 77:Dog friendly and self catering
