Reviews for Hotel Atlantic
Review 1:Currently undergoing some major re-furb, meaning the ground floor is not in use. Also bare wooden bedroom floor seemed to be very gritty and sandy
Review 2:Stunning location on the sea front. That's why we stay there
Review 3:The staff in the dining room were excellent apart from one girl who was very grumpy when we arrived for dinner.
Review 4:The hotel is virtually on the beach with no traffic passing in front. We had a very nice room with a sea view and a balcony.
Review 5:nothing really, I cant think of anything that disappointed with our stay here..
Review 6:all good really, position on the front would make this hotel ok even if everything else was average, however everything is really nice.
Review 7:Nothing.
Review 8:View from room 3 was just awesome. All rooms have sea views but we were amazed at how good the view was even in the rain! Staff were very attentive and always pleasant even with our attempts at French.
Review 9:Drinks service was very slow outside but was a busy sunday evening on a nice day
Review 10:Room excellent and nicely decorated. Dinner in Bistro very good with friendly service.
Review 11:This hotel is superbly situated on the seafront at Wimereux which is a lovely seaside town. The cleanliness and general finish on the hotel is excellent, and staff were all very friendly. We booked a sea view room which had a very large comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend it and would stay again.
Review 12:Leaving the hotel
Review 13:Only one word for the hotel and that is EXCELLENT The best hotel in the area Wonderful balcony room overlooking the beach. Great spa where you get an hour per stay.
Review 14:Glorious situation with crashing waves right up to the restaurant windows. Immaculate and stylish room with a balcony. Delightful staff in hotel and restaurant and delicious fishy menu.
Review 15:We had booked in good time a Privilege room for four nights, only to be told - upon arrival - that this was not now available; it had been let to another! In short, we had no alternative and had to change rooms twice. The hotel staff was apologetic, provided a free breakfast as compensation, but this arrangement after a long journey took the edge off our enjoyment.
Review 16:The location and views from the hotel and environs were lovely, and well sited to act as a base while we explored the surrounding countryside.
Review 17:Despite the good food, restaurant staff are uneven and light on charm. The overall service lacked the personalized welcome one should expect for price and reputation. We had notified in advance of a very special anniversary and ordered a surprise desert, which was plonked down late without even a smile. Our mood was steadily undermined by the perfunctory service which should have been picked up by the Maitre d'Hote.
Review 18:Truly superb location, lovely room, very friendly reception and cleaning staff.
Review 19:Very happy - nothing to dislike.
Review 20:Perfect location, beautiful views, comfortable bedroom, private parking. Very nice little seaside resort. Will definitely be back.
Review 21:Having to leave
Review 22:Wonderful situation overlooking the Digue and the sea 2 good restaurants. Good size rooms, with a decent table and chairs. very comfortable.
Review 23:The room we had was fine, but the lighting was bad, particularly for a woman to put on her make up and get dressed. The bed mattress sunken in places and no chairs for relaxing in, just two hard dinning chairs and a table. Good if you intend to picnic in your room.
Review 24:This was our fourth stay at the Atlantic. The position and food is what we come for, along with the relaxation this offers
Review 25:Very disappointed with food. Average quality and limited selection. Main restaurant selection was limited and quality disappointing - not value for money. Spa - no pool - treatments limited. We were recommended that this was a gastronimique area and found the restaurants in the town and surrounding area poor quality. No incentive to visit this area/hotel again. Finally, in addition my husband was very ill one night after eating in your restaurant.
Review 26:Wine list is pretty toppy,as is the restaurant.Keeps most of the rabble out though. Expected a good discount as advertised by presenting shuttle voucher but declined because booking made through Booking.com. Growl.
Review 27:Very nice modern room overlooking the beach. Attentive service.Warm welcome.Classy restaurant
Review 28:Location is superb with wonderful views from both our bedroom and the public areas. There was an extremely friendly check-in process and help with parking.
Review 29:Liked everything.
Review 30:Our room was lovely, good size with a great outlook over the beach. The restaurants (two) served excellent, cuisine - top notch. Professional and attentive staff - highly recommended.
Review 31:Can't think of anything.
Review 32:Comfortable hotel with secure parking directly on the sea front. Very comfortable beds/pillows. Very adequate breakfast. Restaurant closed on Monday evening but bistros locally. Typically good quality Northern French hotel.
Review 33:We only booked this hotel for the great resturant reviews, but were very disappointed to find that both the hotel resturants are closed on Sunday and Monday evenings.
Review 34:Good quality hotel with high end fixtures and fittings. Beds and pillows were if a very good standard.
Review 35:This is not a hotel and certainly not 4 star. It is a restaurant with a few rooms. When we arrived the restaurant was fully booked and no other food was available - not even a bar snack. This is the first hotel visited that would not attempt to feed guests
Review 36:Location and room - but not at the price charged
Review 37:This is not a classic Raffles type hotel. The class is understated to the eye but comes up trumps in service, comfort, food and locality. If you can get a first floor seafront room make sure you do. And if you are lucky enough to get a thunderstorm in the evening....wow. The service was pretty well perfect. Well trained young people who were always there when you wanted but never when you did not. I was impressed
Review 38:Front desk overburdened with calls and unable to handle guests. Though everything is new and looks good, cleaning may not be as good as in older hotels. Restaurant trying a bit too hard to "keep up appearances"
Review 39:New or newly remodeled place directly on the Wimereux boardwalk. Everything very spiffy and top drawer.
Review 40:We arrived July 27th unaware of the Moules Festival. We could not drive within two miles of the hotel and had to leave our car in someones gateway and walk. The Hotel owner Benjamin was good enough to drive me back to collect my car in the evening.
Review 41:The balcony is a must and just adds to the atmosphere. The gastronomic meal was superb.
Review 42:Having to leave !
Review 43:People watching on the promenade, wonderful sea views. Very comfortable, modern styled large bedroom with sea view. Excellent gourmet restaurant and very good everyday restaurant. Friendly staff. Car park.
Review 44:Not quite as the photos show, our balcony was above the terrace so at 2:30am people were out there talking it was warm so we couldn't shut the doors no AC, so not great Breakfast is expensive at € 15:50 each for what it is I've had a lot better.
Review 45:Great view
Review 46:thanks to tunnel delays missed most of the day and so were only there a short while bar service outdoors a tad random - not enough staff on duty on a sunny day
Review 47:can't beat its position and a sea view room is just lovely
Review 48:Breakfast expensive for what you get. Restaurant closed Sunday evening ( we were aware) but La Speranza next door is very good
Review 49:Lovely location very nice rooms clean and comfortable. Secure parking
