Reviews for La Ferme Rose-Hôtel de Charme
Review 1:nothing
Review 2:A very charming small hotel in a beautiful country setting. Had a beautifully decorated room with terrace. Bountiful breakfast. Will go back.
Review 3:Value for money, size of the room, no breakfast included, cleaner left the window wide open even though we were told to lock the room and close the window when we weren't there as we were on the ground floor and it was easy for someone to access the room if the opportunity was there
Review 4:Quiet location, about 15 minutes walking to Moustier
Review 5:Lovely, lovely place with charming decor and comfortable rooms. A tranquil setting just a short drive from the village of Moustiers, Lac Ste Croix and the Verdon Gorge..
Review 6:The room deodorizer that permeated the entire hotel was omnipresent and gave me a constant headache. Not much to see within walking distance. Car necessary to get to restaurants as the hotel serves only breakfast.
Review 7:Nothing special unless you like kitch.
Review 8:Everything about this place was better than expected. Would not hesitate to return or o recommend to others. The quirky style made it very memorable. The village of Moustier Ste Marie is a huge added bonus
Review 9:The room is rather small. "View to the village" (Moustiers-Sainte-Marie) was not really that, we only saw a few houses just outside the village center. The village was hidden by high trees. Missed possibility of having a small, simple lunch dish when spending a day at the pool. Walk to town is rather long, at least on a very hot summer day. Difficult to find parking in the village.
Review 10:Beautiful place. Decorated with lots of items, like a personal museum. Nice room, french balcony, view towards the garden and the mountains. Good breakfast served in the garden, not a buffet, but more than a continental (cereals etc). Very nice swimming pool.
Review 11:Need to take the care to the village to dine in the evening.
Review 12:Wonderful hotel with a lot of charm and character! Nice environment and garden to have breakfast in. Serviceminded staff who welcomes you. Good place to stay on a roundtrip in the area.
Review 13:Here is not just a good place, the staff (owner) are warm and nice to traveller. La Ferme Rose-Hôtel de Charme will be our first choice if we back again.
Review 14:This is a lovely place to stay full of character and charm. Very nice staff who are very helpful. Close to the lovely town of Moustiers and the Gorge du Verdun.
Review 15:Internet was totally non-functional.
Review 16:Nice large bedroom with beautiful view. We paid for a private terrace but were sadly unable to use it because it rained the whole time. Nonetheless it was pretty. The place is charming in a quirky sort of way.
Review 17:- wifi need to be improved - the room Blanche is a little bit wet - have to leave
Review 18:- Speaking good English - Staff very nice and remember our preference - All the collections displayed in this hotel - Excellent breakfast experience. We enjoyed fresh air and the stunning view. - Offer great recommendations of restaurants and attractions - Brilliant location
Review 19:The location is the hotel is good - it's about 1km from Moustiers-St-Marie. We walked to the village and back, but it was quite a hike. Visiting the village again we drove our car up there and found free parking easily. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very basic, but cozy enough. We stayed only one night and didn't have breakfast, so our experience was a bit limited.
Review 20:The wifi was hit-and-miss. Most of our stay, it was not working.
Review 21:I loved the bucolic setting and eating breakfast on the patio. The assortment of collectibles throughout the hotel were so interesting to look at. The staff were very friendly and spoke great English.
Review 22:We liked being a little away from the bustle, some may not.
Review 23:The Collections Breakfast under the trees Various points of difference A bit of quiet The extremely helpful pleasant staff/ owners
Review 24:It isn't locate in the city centre but it isn't my problem because i rental a car.
Review 25:Good Staff. Very Beautiful Hotel and Environment. Good Breakfast. Hotel's owner have the best style to decorate his hotel. I love there! If I have another time, I will book in this hotel again.
Review 26:The only slight disappointment was that they don't do dinner (breakfast was excellent). We had to get in the car to go and find it. But this seems a churlish complaint given the very enjoyable overall experience.
Review 27:This sprawling pink farmhouse set on a plateau below stunning rockscapes has all the comforts one might hope for indoors and is set in spacious grounds. What makes it truly individual is the collection of 1950s artefacts all very carefully chosen and interestingly displayed. A real collector's passion for the period very unfussily arranged and a privilege to come across.
Review 28:Nothing!
Review 29:With a view to the garden and to the medieval village, this is a great hotel. Very close to the old town, with quirky and unusual collections and furnishings throughout. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Free parking and good wifi connection (from the Jade room ) were bonuses. I didn't take breakfast here.
Review 30:The quirkiness of this property was to behold. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Ferme Rose. It was just delightful. The lovely breakfast was served overlooking the garden. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They clearly enjoyed that we would enjoy the experience. And we did. The grounds were well kept and very pleasant to wander around. Our room had French doors that opened onto the garden. Just beautiful.
Review 31:Of course we had read about the place and had quite high expectations. Still we were amazed about this unique hotel in such an breath taking landscape. The place with all it's collectors items is like stepping into a Hercule Poirot movie. It's a gem and highly recommended.
Review 32:The hotel is beautifully adorned with all sorts of antiques which you could spend hours browsing through. It is small family run and feels more like your a guest in someone's home. The setting is amazing and our host was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed for one night and found it to be perfect. We were given a free upgrade to a fancier room which was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend a stay here if in the Gorges du Verdon area
Review 33:Local village restaurants beyond walking distance. Wi Fi a bit iffy!
Review 34:Beautiful rural location. Quirky interior decorations, throughout the building. Fascinating. Great breakfast outside in the garden. Staff service.
Review 35:Wifi was a bit unreliable, but definitively no deal breaker.
Review 36:Gorgeous location, with friendly staff and wonderfully quirky collectors items everywhere, like staying in a museum. Good central spot for exploring the region if you have a car.
Review 37:WiFi was up and down and very unreliable while we were there. There's no restaurant (but plenty in Moustiers) and the bar closes at 9.
Review 38:We loved the eccentric decor, like staying inside a Brocante shop with Bric a Brac of every conceivable form all around.
Review 39:wifi system poor (need to login every time you use it, only allows 1 connection per room, often didn't work or kept cutting out), breakfast a little expensive and could do with more variety, lack of a hotel restaurant/vending machine
Review 40:friendly staff, intimacy of hotel (only 12 rooms), quiet, countryside setting, very clean, plenty of parking space, nice (unheated) pool (24c in August), close to moustiers town centre for dinner/shopping/sight seeing (10-15 minute walk), close to sainte croix lake (10-50 minute drive depending on where you go), great view of the gorge from hotel
Review 41:The place may be suitable for holiday purposes but they urgently need to improve their wi-fi access that is really.... really poor. The computer they provide for public internet access is so.... slow and still running Windows XP. The router has an invalid secure certificate that does not provide peace of mind to use it. The reception is overall bad and you get dropped every few minutes. The staff had to reboot the router a few times. For people that need to have access to stable wi-fi this may be a challenge. Attention to detail is also lacking as our door to the bathroom was missing an inside door handle and urgently needs oil.
Review 42:It was two wonderful and peaceful nights. The room was small but ok. The place is not within the town but close to the town although you need to have a car to travel to the town. We really enjoyed the peaceful nights.
Review 43:no dinner served no elevator (might be difficult for those with huge luggages) small swimming pool theres no shower in the bathroom, have to hold the shower head
Review 44:Very nice surroundings large room comfortable bed seperated toilet and bathroom easy parking nice staff nice view from the room and little balcony
Review 45:Only have words of praise.
Review 46:The staff was friendly and very helpful with our enquires. Great room beautiful location.
Review 47:Corner Lavender suite with two windows, great bathroom, great location. Very quaint and Provence-French.
Review 48:No evening meals available so a car trip into town for most people unless you want some exercise.
Review 49:Eclectic collections - an interesting place to stay.
Review 50:Loved everything.
Review 51:Ambience. Great style. Helpful and charming staff. Excellent bar and breakfast service. Fabulous location and setting.
Review 52:Poor wi fi reception.
Review 53:Budget hotel
Review 54:Difficult to get hold of staff
Review 55:Quirky but comfortable hotel in wonderful setting
Review 56:Service variable
Review 57:Location fabulous view pool quirkiness
Review 58:Nice rooms and beautiful surroundings. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 59:decoration chargee

Review 73:Fantastic decor and style to the place
Review 74:poor wifi
Review 75:helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, comfortable bed and easy parking
Review 76:Bit of a steep walk up the hill into Moustiers but well worth it.
Review 77:Quirky collections, good service and pool facilities with lovely views.
Review 78:Such a special place...quirky and intriguing in a beautiful location.
Review 79:Impersonal feel.
Review 80:Lovely farmhouse with extravagant designed rooms. Good starting point to explore the Grand Canyon du Verdon and surroundings.
Review 81:Distance from restaurants, indifferent service. The place was quirky and interesting but didn't feel particularly welcome or comfortable
Review 82:location, staff, excellent view, very quiet.
Review 83:The wifi did not work very well!
Review 84:The pool was absolutely fantastic, the view stunning, nice breakfast, nice bed
Review 85:Very nice value for money. Beautiful pool with nice view.
Review 86:The place had character.
Review 87:The standard room is very small can hardly accommodate two adult
Review 88:We staff was very helpful. Decoration is unique.
Review 89:a pity there were no balconies/terraces for the rooms
Review 90:well situated for visiting moustieres, very clean, quirky rooms - although our friends had difficulty hanging up their clothes in the "suitcase style" wardrobe! good breakfast with very fresh bread
Review 91:- the metal cabinets in our room (took away some of the charm)
Review 92:+ location in the country but near to the main town + breakfast + comfortable bed + hotel was a museum of collectibles + friendly staff + toiletries provided
Review 93:We were very pleased with our stay across the board. Rating any of the items above as only Good does not do justice to our experience. However, Excellent is somewhat overstating our experience, not much but overstating nonetheless.
Review 94:Nothing. A lovely place.
Review 95:This is a beautiful country inn with unique decor (remarkable collections of things like movie cameras, model trains, etc) and simple but beautiful rooms with tasteful decor. Charming. An easily recommended place near the west end of the Gorges du Verdon.
Review 96:The room although clean smelled strongly of cleaning fluid. They allow dogs.
Review 97:The location once you find it off the beaten path. Rachelle was very helpful. Olive oil and honey for sale. Great view, and yes it is at the end of the Road that has a big "Camping" sign which loks like it goes to nowhere.
Review 98:No evening/lunch restaurant 25 minute walk to nearest bar closes 9 pm small antiquated room-no fridge no safe hotel full of junk collected by owner
Review 99:Swimming pool
Review 100:Nothing at all!
Review 101:During our 3 months' trip around France from Australia we have stayed in many various types of accommodations (all booked through "booking.com")but can say that in our opinion, La Ferme Rose was one of the very best in every way. Staying in the "piscine" chambre felt like our own little villa in the beautiful peaceful countryside Absolutely wonderful! Well done to owner and staff!
Review 102:Nothing !
Review 103:The whole thing is a wonderfully unique experience. The interior designs of all the rooms are definately " quirky" but quite superbly original. There are some lovely works of art. It is not a boutique hotel - another great bonus ! The location is wonderfully quiet but with immediate access to Moustiere. P.S. The owner and designer is a quietly very impressive gentleman.
Review 104:location is out of the village - but its a 3 minutes drive from the center village
Review 105:its a private house of a collector of 20th century "antiquities" which became part of the place , furnitures and characteristics
Review 106:Kako is a very charming and interesting host, who has incredible collections displayed throughout the inn. The petit dejeuner is very nice out on the terrace, with a great selection, although the quality of the coffee could be better (it's not awful though, just could be better). Pool area is also attractive and comfy.
Review 107:Great atmosphere, comfy rooms, lovely pool area, but too cold when we were there, and a stuffed ful of wonderful old objects, a collectors paradise!
Review 108:We liked EVERYTHING! Beautiful room with large terrace and a balcony. The largest tub ever... and I have been in the best and largest. Rebecca and Arno were wonderful to us. I wish I could see Rececca every day ..she is just the best.
Review 109:The wi fi didn't work Location is a little remote - one should drive the car at night to eat at restaurant nearby
Review 110:Great choice, clean nice owner, great beds
Review 111:Internet.
Review 112:Breakfast.
Review 113:The wi-fi did not work for us

Review 122:Self-satisfied attitude, restrictive hours for pool, poor-value breakfast.
Review 123:Attractive setting, interesting and imaginative decor.
