The Maldagora estate is located in a quiet and leafy setting 2 miles from the beach and overlooks the Nivelle golf course and St-Jean-de-Luz bay.
The Villa, which was built in the 1930s, harmoniously combines the neo-Basque style and the architecture of the period.
Apartments range from studios, 1 bedroom or 1/2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 people. All come with full kitchens, bathrooms with bathtub and shower and TV Canal+.
Apartments on the ground floor have a garden and other apartments provide a balcony that look out over the heated swimming pool. Board games can be borrowed on site.
This beautiful resort is between the Atlantic Ocean and the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains at the gateway to Spain.

Review 1：A bit small in the end for a group of five (even though it is stated 5-6 adults). Slowish WIFI-connection at an outrageous price (5 euros/day). Travelling to Biarritz includes several road tolls if you use the motorway.

Review 2：Easy check-in, good advice for late arrivals. Calm location. Very functional kitchen with the necessary utensils. Very decent pricing for the apartment.

Review 3：The bedding in the room was VERY uncomfortable! Double bed is too small, but more importantly the bed was hard! We didn't sleep well and ended up with sore backs. We find the quality of the bedding in general, compounded by the lack of fitted sheets, inadequate for such a place. We would hesitate to use Pierre et Vacances again for that reason. We had also requested by phone twin beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, but were allocated a flat with opposite arrangements.

Review 4：The staff at reception are amazing! The park is beautiful. All the guests are extremely courteous. The flat was well appointed. The whole residence and pool are spotless.

Review 5：Severe mosquito problems at night time and furthermore the receiption did not want to acknowledge the problem. In the absence of air condition, mosquito nets are absolutely vital for a good nights sleep. Us scandinavians know all about this so take our advice.

Review 12：not suited to individual one night stays you have to make your own bed no welcome kit no staff after 8pm. No machine even for a coffee no code to get in ( had to ring deauville) weve stayed in several Pierre &Vacances , here the service was not only non existant, we were made to feel not welcome by the receptionist in the morning; Bad image for Pierre & Vacances

Review 13：the style of the hotel but its a long way from the town and taxis ask for 40 minutes wait at 8 pm!!!

Review 15：Ideal local in French basque region within walking distance of world-famous St Jean de Luz beach. Also, a short drive from Biarritz surfing grounds and short drive from Spanish border and world famous San Sebastian beaches notably Playa de la Concha beach.

Review 16：the fact that our terrace faced a relatively busy and noisy road and that we were only 200 metres away from the motorway which was very obvious. We realize that there are other apartments in the building which don't have that. But we feel Pierre et Vacances should let visitors know this distinction. Our guess is that hardly anybody would appreciate this level of noise in a holiday apartment. We've been told that screens will be put up, which will not be a luxury.

Review 17：the overall organisation and efficiency, the promptness of reacting when problems were communicated to the staff, the facilities, especially the lovely and very clean swimming pool and quiet area around it and the breakfast service.

Review 26：Accommodation as booked for 5 Adults was totally inadequate. Too smalland resulting in substandard living . Mr & Mrs Cross (Senior) stayed ina hotel . Few to Zero other services available. Not handicap or elderlycompatible Mr & Mrs Cross stayed in an Hotel as insufficient room toaccommodate 5 persons.

Review 27：Playground was almost non-existent. Not enough equipment to entertainmore than 1 or 2 children. Extra charge for wi-fi was annoying andwas definitely not high speed as claimed. "Breakfast" buffet was verypoor value.

Review 29：One mall criticism would be the size of the twin room which was a bit claustrophobic especially if shared. We were two females travelling together so used the twin room and the bed settee which worked well. Perhaps if it was for two adults with their children that would work better than two adults in the spare room. But I stress it is a small criticism.

Review 30：Staff so helpful and friendly. Good location for travelling with dogs.Facilities more than adequate for cooking and laundry. Lovely bread and pastries delivered on site. It was quiet because we were there during the winter months and there were few visitors.
