Reviews for Le Grand Paris
Review 1:Only thing to note is there is no elevator, staff carried our luggage up for us.
Review 2:This is a gem of an old but updated small hotel in a small town. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was large and well appointed(bathrobes, a caramel on the pillow, separate shower and tub) and there was a gourmet restaurant on site. We returned one evening after 9 PM and the staff were waiting for us wanting to know if we wanted dinner. Said we would love some wine, cheese and bread. Not fifteen minutes later we were served elegant cheese plates ( 7 different cheeses), fresh bread and good red wine. We had left early, before breakfast, that day and they had put out coffee in a thermos and cookies just for us!
Review 3:Very helpful and pleasant staff that ensured our stay was most enjoyable. The cuisine in the Hotel was exceptional and made our stay even more pleasurable.
Review 4:I can only presume it was the owner that was very rude, even the receptionist apologised. I parked my car in the garage and was quite happy to receive a call to move it to let someone out, ten minutes later I received another call to move it again. When I got there they had got out without the need to move it. As I locked it and went back to the room an elderly lady came into the garage, looked at me and walked off. I said 'bonjour' and got no reply. I had just got back to my room when i get another phone call to move the car for a third time. When i got down to reception the old lady was there (I think the owner of the hotel) I'd had enough by now and asked to pay my bill as this time i would not be coming back in. The old lady starts waving her arms around and talking 'at me' in French said move now i think. I refused until id paid the bill. Quite funny to look back on, but really annoying at the time. She needs to learn some manners towards her guests.
Review 5:Lovely hotel with garage parking. Great rooms, almost all of the staff were also great !
Review 6:No air con but nice cool morning and evening breezes, so I suppose, not a problem
Review 7:Don't miss out on the incredible evening meal on the terrace. Will really surprise you, and great value for money
Review 8:Old fashioned hotel straight out of the 1890's. Heavy, dark furnishings. Darkness with Gothic atmosphere. Improbable old antique clothes cupboards and drawers. A walk to the garage.
Review 9:Kindly reception personnel
Review 10:Outdated rooms with old style furnishings. Bathroom in the 2nd room was located in the cupboard!
Review 11:Staff we're very helpful giving directions and printing them out for you. Free parking is available directly opposite the hotel. Very friendly hotel. Updated bathrooms with robes.
Review 12:This is a lovely place to stay, away from the bustle of this picturesque part of France. The room was wonderful, and the restaurant a real treat. All of the staff were helpful and couldn't do enough for you.If you are looking for Ikea bright and airy don't consider this, but if you want a touch of style,it's well worth a visit.
Review 13:It is an old world elegant hotel, very formal in character, which is obvious from it's name and description but in hindsight is just not to my taste. Regardless of this our stay was very pleasant.
Review 14:Good, helpful staff who wished to please. Delightful lady on reception, Madame in constant attendance, very talented and personable chef (and her delightful dog) dedicated waiter. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good contemporary bathroom.
Review 15:Hotel needs serious upgrade. Prices exorbitant.
Review 16:Good friendly staff excellent food - breakfast was on the costly side but worth the price as all was home made and beautifully presented.

Review 29:Old fashioned charm, elegance and welcome. Superb and imaginative food.
Review 30:It only takes one to spoil a good stay. One waitress in the dining room (Celine) seemed to be anti-English. Stayed for two nights but ate in only once.
Review 31:Good rooms, nice pool, good bar. All as one would expect at this price.
Review 32:nothing in the hotel all in the town center
Review 33:A warm place to stay for one night only in A poor and dreary city very friendly staff ( the owners )
Review 34:No air conditioning. Rooms were loud; need soundproofing. Hinges on doors were squeaky and loud. The double bed was 2 twins placed together with no way to secure them together and they were still made separately so you fall between the two. Breakfast was extremely expensive.
Review 35:The staff were great....very welcoming and helpful. Perfect location for a base for hiking and exploring the area. Charming decor taking you back in time.
Review 36:It would be great if they had stand up showers instead of the torturous bathtub and water wand arrangement.
Review 37:Ideally located for cycling in norther Provence. Centered around some of the most fantastic scenery to be found in Provence. Info center provided detailed road and mountain cycling routes of anywhere from 20 km to 120 km. we stayed 5 days and rode 3 days and could have stayed for another week. Food in town was varied and of good value.
Review 38:The facilities are tired and run down, did not live up to the description, wifi is not available throughout the hotel which is very important to us.the bathroom flooded every time the shower was used. Rusted furniture and neglected plants on the dirty roof terrace. Definitely not value for money, food very expensive breakfast €17 each! Overall a very disappointing stay.
