Review 1：That wood floor.
Review 2：Great location right in the city center. Beds are comfortable and firm, rooms are smaller but sufficient. Only thing is that wood floor, you could hear a mouse on that thing at night. Bring earplugs and this is a great deal.
Review 3：Loved the location, close to town centre and essentially inside a local park. Rooms were basic, but clean. The staff was very friendly and the kitchen facilities were great.
Review 4：Stumbled upon this hostel in search of a low-cost central hotel. La Maison des Randonneurs may be primarily intended for backpackers but was perfectly suited to our needs as a mature couple touring France by car. It offered excellent value accommodation in the heart of Auxerre but in a country garden setting. Pleasant staff and guests. Would happily visit again.

Review 6：If you are doing any of the various Caminos to Santiago or Assisi, or simply backpacking through France, you cannot do much better than La Maison. Auxerre is a marvelous city full of history, and La Maison is a good place to have as a base.
Review 7：Didn't realise that this was more a youth hostel with dorms. No toilet in the room which meant that night time toilet visits with young children wasn't ideal. This was more our fault for not checking all the details prior to booking.

Review 9：It's a hostel, so nothing luxurious. But great staff, good location, very amenable to cycle touring which is what we wanted.
Review 10：close to town centre[an eay walk], a little difficult to find as behind big wooden doors and then down a driveway,free onsite parking which was not properly advertised a real bonus.

Review 14：I loved the gracious old building, the relaxed atmosphere, the well equipped kitchen, the chance to get the washing done with modern commercial machine. Good to mingle with other guests. Great value.

Another thing that I dislikedwas the fact that in the moment of booking all the money foraccomodation was taken in advance, without even asking.
