Reviews for Villa Trémail
Review 1:I can honestly say there was nothing not to like. I would have preferredto have a small bin in the room so I didn't have to leave the teaand coffee wrappers on the tray for staff to clear.
Review 2:We loved the location, French Windows opening onto a sea facing balcony, the decor, large comfortable bed, and friendly hosts.
Review 3:Great location. Room on the second floor had a brilliant view so we didn't even feel like we had to leave the room to be "outside" and "on the beach". Sunset every evening, great breakfast and very nice owners of the house. Could not have wished for a better place to stay.
Review 4:Jerome and his wife were really friendly. The room was fantastic, with a balcony and sea view. Breakfast was delicious. Close to choice of places to eat.
Review 5:Relaxed ambience, where nothing was too much trouble. We asked for advice about a dinner reservation, and Jerome made the ideal booking for us: perfect.
Review 6:Can't fault anything.
Review 7:Friendly hosts and a huge delicious breakfast with all the trimmings. Make sure you get the room with the bathtub and Seaview. Made excellent recommendations for drinks and dinner, helped with cycling directions and even offered us warm coats for a stroll along the beach. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect stopover
Review 8:Nothing but we only booked because the price was well reduced . Really couldn't afford/justify their normal rates.
Review 9:Everything! It was awesome. Perfect décor, comfort, facilities. Great breakfast, fantastic HUGE balcony and what a view. And a lovely welcome too. And the attached boutique's good too.
Review 10:Nothing was too much trouble for the owners (Jerome & Laurence). The room was clean and beautifully furnished; a large comfortable bed; magnificent shower. A good sea view right on the coast and a large balcony we could sit out on even at the end of October. A wide choice of breads, cheeses, cereals and beautiful home-made jams for breakfast.
Review 11:The weather was excellent for the time of the year, the views were stunning from our room and the hosts were lovely and welcoming, only wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 12:Decor. The decor was a bit dated and definitely not my taste but I was eating or sleeping the wallpaper etc.
Review 13:The premises were well situated with easy access to the town. Free parking was available but Jerome had reserved a place outside the house for his guests anyway. Jerome was very welcoming and helpful regarding places to eat - the one we chose gave us a free aperitif because he had recommended it- (The Pirate - excellent wood fired pizza). He had a supply of waters, milk f.o.c. and wine and beer chargeable on an honesty basis available on the landing. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom a wee bit dated but clean and functional with ample hot water and lovely fresh towels. Breakfast was excellent - lots of fresh bread, pastries, local cheeses, cereal, yogurts, jam and very good coffee or tea if preferred. I was dubious when we stopped outside but I felt very comfortable and welcome and would definitely recommend this place.
Review 14:We were met by the owners son who was looking after the B&B in their absence. He was extremely helpful. The room was beautiful with lovely sea-views. It was very clean and tastefully decorated with an outside balcony. There was a half bottle of wine available to 5 euros but plenty of bottled water freely available. Breakfast was continental, but very good according to my husband. I wasn't very well so did not go for breakfast but Victor insisted on bringing me a bag of breads to take with me. I would certainly recommend Villa Tremail.
Review 15:We would probably request one of the rooms with a balcony if we return.
Review 16:The host, Jerome was charming, friendly and helpful - recommending local restaurants, walks etc and coping with our limited French. Free small bottle of wine, and other refreshments provided in our room. Decor of room and the whole place was great, as were the location and sea views.
Review 17:Great welcome. The owner couldn't do enough for us even though I had mucked the booking up. Strongly recommend.
Review 18:Spacious room with a great sea view. Charming, helpful host and a good continental breakfast
Review 19:Staff were absolutely great, nothing was too much trouble, very helpful and friendly
Review 20:Teenagers partying at night time at the public sanitory in front of the hotel....

Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:Great location; comfortable bed and room. Good breakfast and lovely hosts
Review 25:On the seafront, but very quiet location. We stayed in an adjoining apartment, not the main B&B.
Review 26:The friendly owners and delightful view from the bedroom
Review 27:Room quite small
Review 28:Very welcoming and trusting

Review 38:Friendly and helpful hosts. Clean great value rooms. Great location. Great breakfast.
Review 39:Nothing to comment on.
Review 40:Attention to detail; coffee making facilities in the room; bottled water and milk available; friendly hosts; great breakfast.
Review 41:Fantastic hosts
Review 42:Only that the room was a little too cold for our liking, but Jerome told us that there was an additional heater we could have used so wouldn't have been a problem.
Review 43:Charming decor, lovely hosts and great location on the seafront. The breakfast included local cheeses and they were delicious.
Review 44:The bedroom was cold, inspite of having 3 radiators, and the shower could have done with some extra cleaning - as there was mold around the grouting and the shower doors.
Review 45:Very helpful and friendly proprietors - bright and clean room, and great breakfast. Fabulous location right on the sea front, with free public parking right outside (although it might be more difficult in the summer months).
Review 46:Nothing at all.
Review 47:The style of the place - it was out of the ordinary for a guest house, more like a friend's holiday home. Very friendly welcome too.
Review 48:The room we had ,although overlooking the sea, could not be described as luxury. The bed was hard, there was no wardrobe to hang clothes and the shower in a toilet/shower room the size of a postage stamp, produced only tepid water despite and attempt to fix it by the host. The room we were in - chambre de sable- should not be classed the same as the next door room which was a lot more spacious and had a bigger shower room. Poor value for money.
Review 49:Host and Hostess very nice people and very attentive
Review 50:Everything was excellent, though it was a bit pricey.
Review 51:Superb location; most friendly hosts - exceeded all expectations, especially the lovely room looking out over the magnificent beach. The breakfasts were superb.
Review 52:We were welcomed very warmly and it became clear that the owners of Villa Trémail were keen to have a relationship with their guests. We chatted to them and they were attentive in the best possible way.
Review 53:No housekeeping for a stay of two nights. No bed making or cleaning etc.Too many knick knacks in room so not allowing room for one's ownbelongings. A little cold and draughty but extra heater supplied whichhelped a great deal and it was especially cold and windy! However as thehosts were so delightful we could not really fault the Villa Tremail.
Review 54:Charming hosts, could not be more helpful and interested in our wellbeing. Excellent breakfast included in tariff. Kettle etc in room, virtually unheard of in France!Nice position overlooking sea, easy walking access to town, buses, trains etc. Easy parking outside. Complimentary bottled water and milk.
Review 55:very good location on seafront, extremely welcoming owner/management with comfortable well stocked room and plentiful breakfast and close to fine restaurantsnothing
Review 56:Having just stayed in Honfleur and in a better room but at a lower price I think the price for the room is too high. The flat was in need redocartion/bathroom up grade, very small bath.
Review 57:A great seaview, quiet, clean and very friendly owners who are very attentive. we stayed in the flat away from the main house
Review 58:The welcome and service were excellent, as was the presentation of the room. Many small touches that made it obvious that Jerome and Laurence really cared about the comfort and well-being of guests. these ranged from chocolate on the pillow, bottled water in the room and wonder of wonders in France- tea and coffee making facilities in the room- bliss! Breakfast again was delicious, freshly squeezes orange, a wide range of tasty breads and home made jam- my compliments to Jerome's mother in law! Definitely a place to go again.
Review 59:Perfectly located overlooking the sea - our room was upgraded to seaview foc where we could appreciate a beautiful sunset. Excellent breakfast and Jerome an extremely friendly and efficient host throughout or stay.
Review 60:Not much space in our room for hanging clothes - ok for a couple ofdays, but could be limiting for a longer stay
Review 61:Everything was excellent, from the welcome by Jerome and help with bags, unlimited availability of bottled water to the comfort and cleanlinessof the room with its splendid view, and the lovely generous breakfast -excellent coffee too! We couldn't have wished for anything more.
Review 62:It would have been nice if the TV had at least one news channel in English.
Review 63:Charming, convenient, and the host Jerome went out of his way to be both accomodating, helpful, and friendly. The "White Room" was spotless and comfortable with everything necessary and the breakfast included was delicious. Jerome and Laurence are a pleasure to deal with and Wimereux is a beautiful village by the sea with a spectacular promenade.
Review 64:There was nothing that we found negative.
Review 65:Location, comfort of room, facilities - all were excellent. It was allwell thought out. We had such a pleasant stay. Also could park for freeoutside. View of promenade.
Review 66:It is superbly located on the sea-front, and the rooms are well-furnished and designed with a nautical theme The owners are charming and work hard to please their guests.
Review 67:The perfect hosts in their delightful home. The room was so creatively furnished and we were able to enjoy an upgrade with superb views at no additional cost. Villa Tremail is a real gem of the Opal coast - we would definitely return. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Do go!
