Reviews for Le Hameau Albert 1er
Review 1:Breakfast buffet wasn't great, cold pancakes & scrambled eggs. l was left without cutlery and was left standing around for a while. Some of the bedroom Furniture & bath shabby and chipped.
Review 2:Check in staff were lovely & helpful, booked a small double room it was v nice. Surroundings, pool & bars are gorgeous & beautifully furnished. Fruit tea & figs in room an unusual choice over coffee & biscuits ;-)
Review 3:The receptionist was a pit impolite during checkout!! There were drinks outside the fridge during the check in which means it is complementary but They charged me for it when I checked out, be careful with what you got in the room even if it was not in the fridge and was on the table with a welcoming message!!'
Review 4:The fire palce and the atmosphere is unique!!
Review 5:It is very difficult to fault this hotel but a few minor points: It tooka while for hot water to reach the shower. For the price of the room (wepaid €385pn), we thought that the additional cost for breakfast of €25ppwas expensive. The water in the jacuzzi was too cold to enjoy. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room are located by La Ferme (a separate building),which means that if you are based in the main building, there is aslightly inconvenient walk outside.
Review 6:We stayed for six nights in a luxury (first floor) room which was verylarge; with a lounge area, spacious bathroom and terrace. Moreimportantly, there were spectacular views of the mountains. The bed wasenormous and super comfortable. The decor in the main hotel building isa suave blend of contemporary and traditional, avoiding the sparse andcrowded respectively, 'looks' that are often associated witheach. We had an absolutely delicious meal at Albert Premier, their twoMichelin starred restaurant. Every course we ordered was sublime.(Unfortunately we left it too late to make a second reservation). Thehotel is set in beautiful grounds, with well tended gardens. Service wasexcellent throughout: discrete and friendly. The location is both quietand convenient. There is some wonderful art work on display.
Review 7:View and noise of trains passing by but not so often. Really small gym and sauna literally in the same room.

Review 20:room was right next to highway, which means it will be noisy if the balcony window is open. WiFi signal can be stronger.
Review 21:Excellent room. Beautiful view from the balcony. Staff very nice.
Review 22:It was just "OK", not fantastic, which for a 5 star, 2 Michelin star hotel it should have been! Breakfast in particular really not up to scratch. Carpets and bathroom fittings well worn and should have already been replaced. No turn-down service. Extremely noisy (our room was right next to the road and railway line).
Review 23:We'd always wanted to try this place and had a great stay - pretty much as expected for this class of hotel.
