Review 1：hotel should improve the beds, matresses could be a little softer

Review 2：almost in the center of Chamonix, walking distance to restaurants and shops and very close to severa easy slopes therofre ideal for families with small children

Review 3：We were there 14 nights so wanted to eat in and out depending on the skiing.I think a chopping board (i left the one i bought for future travellers) and a decent knife would save people the blood i spilled on the second night. There is so much brilliant food available in the town you really want buy great local produce and have platters / dinner with great wine and friends in the apartment before hitting the nightlife. For a 4 star i would expect a small starter pack of salt , pepper, oil ,coffee and local herbs in the kitchen.Similarly at 4 star prices you could expect toiletries to be better.

Awesome spot to watch the sun rise and go down.Really nice barman Marco who was extremely pleasant and helpful.Nice welcome drinks and info session from the management. Good sized apartment and perfect for a long stay.We had a very memorable Xmas / New years there and would go back again.

Review 6：There wasn't any breakfast There wasnt any cleaning and for the final cleaning the hotel charge an additional fund.For the whale stay at the hotel(8 days) there wasn't any twel changing and the linens. The furniture in the apartment was very old and in bad condition.

Review 22：the wifi is with no doubt the worst we ever encountered. the room had almost no reception and the only place we couldgo on line was in the entrance to the room. even if you go near the elevator and stand right next to the transmittor the signal is weak and the narrow band does not allow whatsup calls.

Review 28：This was our third stay at Balcon du Savoy and during the first two times my husband and I stayed in a two room ( one bedroom and separate living area) apartment which was large and spacious with a huge full length balcony. During the third stay we had a two bedroom and separate living room but each of the three rooms and balcony were much smaller and we felt quite crowded.

Review 44：There was a bad smell from all the sinks in the apartment. We called reception who sent two maintenance men who poured a chemical down the drain in the sink in the toilet at the entrance corridor which was the one badly affected. It cleared for one day then came back again. We had to keep the plugs in the sink to keep the smell away. I asked if this was a common problem and they said sometimes it was.

Review 45：Waking up each day to the beautiful mountain views was absolutely splendid. The area was very peaceful and serene. We also enjoyed watching the parasailors landing on the grass area just below our balcony. We watched them circling the area then coming in very smoothly for a soft landing. The views of the mountains changed so many times in a day and they were always beautiful.

It was great to have dishwasher tablets, dishcloth and washing up liquid provided too. Games room was quite good but you have to pay for most things. Table tennis is free. The sofa bed in the living area was great for our adult son. Nice large TV.

Review 54：The room with three beds and a sofa bed turned out to be two beds and a sofa bed. The entire décor and soft furnishings are looking tired and could do with a make over.

Review 58：French people lack awareness of other cultures , they need to have a more friendly approach with tourists, additionally at the time of discharging I had been charged an unexpected sum of 80 Euros which was never told in advance claiming that that is for cleaning the rooms , preinformation was not done which causes great dissatisfaction

Review 59：The location is nice, however staff don't give sufficient information about the city the areas to visit , the timings of the shops, they also didn't inform that just below the hotel there are private areas adjacent to hotel which should not be accessed. The surrounding of the area is charming where you open your eyes on the Chamonix mountains with snowy tops, it is really charming

Review 60：The appartment is not equipped with washing machine / drier ( it is available for additional fee in common area) Absolute zero wifi Check out is very early 10am ( especially for family with young children like us) and check in is very late 5pm: so almost a full day is wasted. For a 4 star appartment , cleaning service is expected at least once!

Review 64：WiFI was weak inside the apartment. The information we got from the stuff was inaccurate (e.g., opening hours of the supermarket). We felt the hotel has cheap attitude regarding changing towels and shits. The hotel supplies fresh towels and shits only when you stay more than 8 days. this feels petty. We also had to ask twice for extra toilet paper, which felt embarrassing In addition, the swimming pool floor was damaged in few places , and was dangerous to step on.

Review 66：Be very careful when booking this facility through Booking.com. We had booked a 3 bedroom apartment through Booking.com and when we arrived they said it was already booked through another website and instead gave us a 1 bedroom apartment and a 2 bedroom apartment. These were our last 3 nights of our vacation and we had hoped to all be together in one room (myself, my husband and our 3 kids). If I would have known that we were not all together, I would have booked us somewhere else.

Review 67：Location was great. We could easily walk into town for groceries, shopping and restaurants. The view from one of our apartments was fantastic.

Review 72：The wifi in the building A was extremely slow, absolutely impossible to use, only mails. Some "improvements" were done (I was here a few times) - the combined oven was changed to a microwave, but the "carcass" of the old oven was left in place, and the microwave was installed inside the old box, however, I love to cook and this is a serious drawback for me, I need the oven. For this reason only, I will not visit the hotel again. The stylish wood chairs (same style like the apartment decoration) were replaced by cheap "modern" junk, etc. Staff speak a poor English.

Review 83：Wifi was very weak almost no signal and checkout time is too early at 10 AM !! I asked for late checkout to be at 12 PM before one day! Then they surprised me on last day by calling me at 10:30 AM that I have to leave the apartment! after a discussion and explained to them that I informed them last night and they accepted my request and why now you are changing your words! They accepted my request! This gave me a bad impression about their staff!!! Location was little bit far from the restaurants and center of the village.

Review 85：When we booked and paid for the hotel, we were promised full usage of the facilities ie. Sauna and steam room, but throughout the duration of our stay they were not working due to 'technical issues' that we were not informed about beforehand. This was despite being told the sauna was in fact working when we asked why we couldn't get it to work.

We were greeted enthusiastically and warmly by Inga and despite having a twin bedded room initially, had put room swapped without fuss (we were on honeymoon!). New room higher and just the perfect place for 3 days hiking. Cannot find d any fault and will definitely stay here again next time in chamonix

Review 89：Facilities are in poor condition. There was a whole in the pool's ceiling. Sauna door had a whole; repared after we complained. Hamam was cold. Dishwasher was old, with broken handling parts. Shower holder wad broken. The whole impression was hotel management doesn not care about appartment conditions, because of the good location they have tourists anyway.

Review 114：The location is a short walk from the main town center with coffee and a pastry shop within feet of the hotel. The staff switched our room from our booked studio room. The studio room only has a pull out bed but the bookings web site did not reflect the room type properly. The staff switched us to a one bedroom suite which we would have booked if we had known the layout. The rooms overlook the mountains and training hill. The unit came with a ski locker and the recommended ski shop delivers equipment right to the locker.

Review 117：Stayed here before and thought the location and facilities were excellent, which is why we returned. However, being in the shoulder season, all the facilities in the building were closed. Fine, but I specifically booked it to use the swimming pool/hamman/spa, only to be told when I arrived (and paid a non-refundable week's rate up front) that these facilities were closed. No mention on their website or here on booking.com. Low season also apparently means that paying guests don't need hot water. Having a freezing cold shower every day when it's snowing outside is not enjoyable. I would return here in summer because I like the location, but will definitely not return in the low season.

Review 128：It might be better to restrict smoking in the hotel. There were smoke came out through ventilation in the bathroom. It made the whole apartment smoky in one of the nights of our stay. The hair dryer was the old type so it was not so strong and get hot easily. After using for a few minutes, the handle turned too hot to hold. The bed was a bit too hard.

Review 129：The hotel is nicely decorated, spacious, clean and quiet with a great view of Mont Blanc and the gaclier. Our room has balcony so we can have the view from both in living+dining and bedroom or we can go to the balcony to see the view. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from chamonix town center so it's very convenient. The hotel has the underground car park and can be accessed easily be the lift. We will love to be back there again.

Review 135：Spacious ground floor apartment, with nicely equipped, if small kitchen, large lounge / living room - diner and large bedroom. All modern and nicely finished. Sliding French patio doors from both bedroom and living room onto large private patio with amazing direct views of Mont Blanc beyond a recreation field where para-gliders and wingsuits would land throughout the day, providing an amazing mixed view of dramatic mountain views and extreme sports!

Review 137：This hotel is in such a beautiful location overlooking Mont Blanc. We had a balcony that overlooked the mountains and it was amazing! We were only 3 minutes walk from the nearest chair lift and 5 minutes from the centre of Chamonix. We will definately go back to this one.

Review 138：The regulation of this place looks to be based on a stay for a week. Therefore, any taking cares of cleaning room, changing sheets and towels etc. are not given for the first 7 days, while this matter would be well treated if you pay some extra. This situation would better be explained more clearly on the Booking.com page or so.
