Reviews for Armor Hotel

Review 1:Liked the way I was recieved, though I was literally draped in mud from a long day of cyckling on my way to Paris cop 21 from denmark. Not a lifted eyebrow!

Review 2:the book in the hotel said it was bought in 2008 and each room wash to be refurbished, obviously the one we had was last on the list mini bar that was empty

Review 3:not a lot apart from location

Review 4:Was searching specifically for hotel with parking. Website shows parking icon on description..... In reality it is in public car park and costs 7 euros per day!

Review 5:Parking is a short walk but ok if you just have an overnight bag.

Review 6:Many choices of restaurants Nice shops that are a little different. Fabulous shower in the room. Friendly staff that tried hard to work through the language barrier. Free on street parking from 6pm-8am if you can get a space.

Review 7:Bed was quite uncomfortable

Review 8:Good value for money. Very close to the train station.

Review 9:No lift. Small room. Very plain.

Review 10:Friendly staff. Convenient to centre ville and train station. Good bathroom with typical French narrow tub.

Review 11:Salk rooms

Review 13:location

Review 14:A bit old hotel.

Review 15:Friendly staff, nice landscape from the window, nice location(near the station and center of city).

Review 16:Our room had a slightly odd aroma!

Review 17:Nice location, close to river & city centre. Parking close by (€7 for 24 hours). Friendly staff.

Review 18:Central place at the river between the rail and the center. WiFi OK and nice breakfast

Review 19:..that night was one of the worst night's sleep I have had all trip. Note: I may have just been unlucky. There was something outside - I think it was some sheet metal in the carpark - that banged, and banged at random times during the night (eg. every 5, then 15, then 5, then 30, then 15, then 30 seconds... etc) because of the wind outside. It was so stressful that I almost slept in the bath. I don't know if this was an isolated event or if anyone who sleeps in the room looking over the carpark experiences this. It was a great shame because otherwise it was a perfectly decent place to stay.

Review 20:First impressions: good welcome, simple but adequate and comfortable accommodation (big room and bathroom with bath), little fridge in the room to store your goodies, window looking out ..over a carpark but letting in lots of afternoon sunshine. I was very happy. However..

Review 21:The Hotel is just "too tired". Billed as a two star one, it is firmly that albeit the web site refers to refurbishment. The entrance is cramped (but remodelling difficult?). The breakfast area tiny; food for breakfast fairly good and service enthusiastic; but, cracked cups and when the coffee served the "waiter" carried them by picking them up at the rim, not the handle nor on a saucer.

Review 22:The room was adequate, though small. The staff certainly trying to please. The bathroom well tiled and clean; the bed linen and towels clean.

Review 23:Some rooms still noisy despite double glazing, and the hotel is on a main street near to traffic controls.

Review 24:Located near to rail station Free and easy culture.

Review 25:Staff cannot speak English; the hotel is closed during 12pm~3pm,and noone pick up the phone! Breadfast is so bad and expensive, not worthy. Webooked the hotel room several days before we check in,at price EUR75,andwhen we arrived at the hotel,we found the price of the room was eur56!We paid at the much higher price! That's nonsence!

Review 26:Very basic rooms. Hand held shower. Pricey for such a basic hotel. Breakfast served on the first floor landing.

Review 27:It's location close to the river, town centre and railway station

Review 28:Cheap furniture, curtain rod fell down when I opened the door and they didn't seem to be surprised.

Review 29:Exactly between train station & olds city centre, on river.

Review 30:No a/C. There was a fan and the air outside was nice and cool, so Ileft the window open and was fine. Also, like many places in France, there is no shower curtain in the shower, so you get the floor soakedwhen you shower.

Review 31:This was a good place for 60/night. Great location, right across thebridge from the train station. It's right near the main square and justa few blocks from the chateau. I had a back room, so there wasn't anyroad noise. Wifi was fast. First place in Europe I've been in withdecent service. Bathroom included a tub. Checking in was simple. I didget the upsell for breakfast but no issues when I declined. I wassurprised to read other reviews trashing the place. One woman complainedthere was no lift. Well, if carrying your stuff up a flight of floors istoo much, then you shouldn't be traveling Europe.

Review 32:I have stayed in many hotels in France .This the worst hotel I have every stayed in.The rooms are very shabby the shower did not work,Hair dryer was broken.Light bulb missing for bed side light.Awful nylon carpet.Do not stay at this hotel

Review 33:I failed to obtain internet code before front desk closed in the earlyevening. Having this information routinely provided at check-in would behelpful for an exhausted traveler.

Review 34:Easy to find. Very comfortable. Your staffer was very kind and helpful;he appeared to be handling all the hotel functions himself - front desk, dining room/kitchen, housekeeping - and was always cheerful. I hope toreturn to Compiegne in the near future and will certainly plan to stayat this hotel again.

Review 35:Light timers in public spaces a bit annoying.

Review 36:Pleasant staff, good location, handy fridge, nice breakfast. Clean

Review 37:The room was smelling very strong. Everything was very used.

Review 38:The staffs and facilities are very good, and location is very close to the train station, which has the general bus station!

Review 39:Dated decor

Review 40:Clean friendly Location Quiet Comfortable

Review 41:Very small hotel, no facilities, old fashioned bathroom, expensiveat 70 euros

Review 42:Convenient centre location O.K. overnight stop

Review 43:Central location, close to restaurants and bars, and to public parking. Quiet.

Review 44:The rooms were dark, dingy and dirty.

Review 45:The Location

Review 46:Manager very helpful. Excellent location. Parking nearby.

Review 47:rooms quite basic

Review 48:friendly people

Review 49:Ease of access

Review 50:Generally an ok place, though could use a refurbishment.Staff friendly, but spoke little English.
