Reviews for Résidence Néméa Le Grand Lodge
Review 1:Some of the reception staff didn't speak English, and the reception opening times are a bit limited. Lots of little kids in the pool and they used the Sauna / Hot tub despite them being for over 16s only so not really relaxing.
Review 2:Amazing value, and the apartments are a good size compared to ones we have stayed in previously. We were a little worried about the location but its only a 9min walk to the town centre which was perfect. View from the balcony was awesome.
Review 3:wi-fi in rooms that you pay for doesn't really work - save money and just go to reception. On departure they do an itinerary check but not one on check-in we had broken mugs in cupboard when checked in so be careful. Staff miserable, most can't speak English (or say they can't...) we reported main reception light not working few times was never looked at - not the end of the world but example of help with any issues
Review 4:Great location. Rooms good size. Swimming pool small but great for apres ski
Review 5:No cleaning towels etc
Review 6:Swimming pool sauna
Review 7:we have in this hotel from a locked ski room were stolen skiing. Vacation was ruined.
Review 8:Bad wifi Not clean Very small for 4 people Towels at extra charge
Review 9:Friendly staff Ok pool Ok location
Review 10:No free wifi in rooms
Review 11:Pool, jacuzzi, underground parking
Review 12:There are substantial hidden costs for cleaning that were not mentioned during the booking or at the confirmation from booking.com. You can choose to clean yourself (but nog cleaning material or detergent provided) or pay 58 euro’s. (In our case 50% of the rental price). Parking in the underground garage is mentioned on the website as possible for additional cost – but in fact is obligatory.
Review 13:Location was on walking distance from the centre. Nice small swimmingpool, sauna and jacuzzi for relaxing at the end of a long walk.Perfect location for outdoor activities such as walking and mountainbiking. The price/quality was good.
Review 14:I don't necessarily want to put as a negative, as I did expect, but the description should more explicitly explain what is included and not included. As a self-catering apartment, only bed linen was provided. Everything else you need to bring or is extra (this includes towels and toilet paper). This is quite common in France, but would be quite unexpected to the foreign traveler. Also, not all apartments have a view, so feel room description should explicitly indicate this.
Review 15:The location was closer to the center of Chatel than expected - less than a 10 minute walk, but can also use the free public bus. This is where many restaurants are located and the main gondola up the mountain. The main reception staff member was very friendly and helpful.
Review 16:No hot water for 9 days of our 14 day stay. No compensation or alternative offered. Ignored by staff and emails also ignored before and after holiday. Spa also is not as per photos. Dirty and overcrowded. Every thing cost extra TV is 42euros for a tiny tv with French channels a week. Internet service is poor and weak signal. I urge you to avoid this dump.
Review 17:Everything was charged as extras when we booked in eg. towels, bedding, parking, WiFi, checkout clean, but we were not made aware of this when we initially booked the accommodation. The private road at the front of the lodge was not cleared of snow, therefore cars were getting stuck, this was due to an apparent disagreement as to who owned the road but it was the only access road to the lodge and its parking area. The hot tub had a stagnant water smell (rather unpleasant).
Review 18:Location and views.
Review 19:I did not like that the management allow large groups of 20 year old to take over a complete floor and make everyone's life a misery, the management tried to sort out the problem but only made things worse, we then left early as this destroyed our Christmas break i have requested a part refund as we had to hire a cottage in the north of France as our tunnel crossing was not until the Sunday very disappointing
Review 20:The property was clean tidy and warm
Review 21:No English was spoken at check in, the blankets supplied had animal and human hair on and we're not clean. The room for 4 was very small and cramped with little storage space for coats, clothes, shoes etc. The location shown on the website doesn't march the actual position by a considerable distance and position. It was luck that we found it.
Review 22:The decor
Review 23:The chalet was described as being suitable for 6. It was very cramped for 2A+3C. There is very little storage space for suitcases and the bunk beds are in an alcove not a separate room. Bed linen was not automatically provided but this was not made clear at the time of booking. There should be a sign on the Swiss side of the compound as not all visitors come from France!
Review 24:Having a swimming pool is a big plus when travelling with children. Breakfast ordering service was also a plus. Underground parking was great as the temperatures were very high when we visited, although the car park is very dusty due to onsite building works.
Review 25:- Floor underneath the bed was extremely dirty.- Poor location: you have to take a (free) bus to reach any ski lifts. - Chatel in general have poor connections between various ski pistes and lifts.
Review 26:- Comfortable rooms, very nicely decorated.- Sufficient kitchen gear to cater for large group. - Nice pool, Jacuzzi, sauna. - Friendly staff. - Ample closed parking facilities for good price.
Review 27:Tv chargeable parking chargeable wifi chargeable 200 euro depositagainst breakages
Review 28:Location pool sauna secure underground parking
Review 29:the pool is very small
Review 30:the location & the space behind the balcony the parking
Review 31:Picture shows different hotel!!! It is not this hotel!too far to the slopes
Review 32:New, nice hotel, good service,
