Reviews for La Glisse Mont-Dore
Review 1：The problem we had with our double room was that it was situated on the top (3rd) floor which meant 54 steps to climb. As a lot of families stay here it can be noisy if the kids are left home alone, as we found out one night.
Review 2：Helpful staff. Assisted with luggage and other requests when required. language barrier made easier as staff spoke English. Helpful with information re other ski areas to visit.
Review 3：The 6 berth apartment would probably work better as a four berth if you're concerned about space as there are 2 double beds and two put up beds (one located in the double room with the bathroom and one in the dining room. For us, we simply moved the single bed out of the ensuite bedroom and put it in the dining room for the third couple. Separate toilet from bathroom but only one bathroom which requires one of the bedrooms being used as a thoroughfare for all. Not a problem for us but might be something to consider for others. La Glisse is situated approx 5 minutes walk into town, easy walk to bars/Restos. If you have your own vehicle it's a good idea to us it to get up to the slopes of Le Mont Dore as I can imagine the daily free bus trips from the centre of town can be a bit of a bind.
Review 4：Everything. The 6 berth apartment was warm, clean and sufficiently roomy for all 6 of us bearing in mind this was a ski trip so we were either out skiing/eating/drinking or sleeping. Shower room was good, piping hot water on tap, kitchen facilities were all good with gas oven, large fridge, microwave, toaster etc... For Brits, you might want to take your own tea pot as there isn't one. So arguably a little snug but for approx 10 quid a day per person you'll struggle to get better VFM in my view.
