Reviews for Chambres d'hotes à Autun

Review 1:We had booked the room with ensuite 7 months before and on arrival was asked to have a room with a toilet outside in the corridor and not in the ensuite bathroom. We objected and then offered a room with ensuite with toilet enclosed. Also, we prefer for the mattress to have a protector cover - not just a sheet.

Review 2:Our host, Philippe, was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was nice and we liked the crepes.

Review 3:Bedroom was somewhat cramped with a beam protruding over the bed!

Review 4:Welcoming host who was keen for us to enjoy Autun. Pleasant 25 minute walk into town. Good breakfast with pancakes.

Review 5:One bed a little too saggy, bright lights out the window and no shade to pull.

Review 6:Host was extremely kind, helpful and friendly. Room was large, breakfast excellent, easy parking. Excellent value.

Review 7:No one there when we arrived and had to ring someone who arrived and let us into the conservatory We wouldn't have minded normally but we had just travelled 200 miles in torrential rain on a motorbike! However the owner was very apologetic the next day and said if he'd known we were on a bike he'd have been there for us

Review 8:Owner very friendly and cooked fresh crepes for breakfast Also had a selection of his home made preserves

Review 9:B&B - house owner very friendly and helpful. Meeting other travelers at the breakfast table (B&B was fully rented). Location, very quiet area, on the outskirts of historical Autun. Cleanness of accommodation, good parking.

Review 10:We just stayed one night :-/

Review 11:Very friendly owner, nice African decór, comfy bed, beautiful view from terrace, good wifi, delicious breakfast. Lovely location to stay!

Review 12:Floors a bit creaky. Bed a bit small

Review 13:Value for money. Our host was very helpful in recommending places to see in Autun and we were so pleased with the wonderful Roman remains. An unexpected bonus in our holiday. Lovely home made crepes, bread and jams for breakfast.

Review 14:Poor Wi-Fi and phone connections - not the house's fault! Being charged for the cup of tea we were given on arrival! How miserly is that!

Review 15:The house is located above the town, in a good position for walking. Pancakes for breakfast!

Review 16:We're not fond of duvets!

Review 17:We were warmly welcomed by our host, who also produced pancakes for breakfast. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen to prepare our own meals and make hot drinks. The location was close to the woodland walk to the waterfall and the Roman pyramid, and we enjoyed the exercise provided by the walk into the town. There was a good view from the back of the property, which was full of interesting objets d'art from around the world.

Review 18:A little difficult to find (we had to ask several people as we did not have GPS in car) so could do with better directions on the site.

Review 19:Very helpful owner, supplied gluten-free bread for breakfast, which was the typical French fare with toast, bread, lots of jams etc., good coffee.

Review 20:Up hill from centre ville. Had to drive for food. No WiFi.

Review 21:Huge family room. Excellent breakfast including pancakes included in ridiculously low price. Nice people. Wish I could stay longer.

Review 27:Spacious, clean room. Free wifi and parking. The breakfast quality and staff was just sensational, especially the crepes. Easy walk or drive to the old town, cathedral etc.

Review 28:the room was very small and the bed was under the slanting beams so I had to crawl over the other person to get out of bed

Review 29:the location is good close to the center

Review 30:Toilet separate from room though sole use.(BAthroom was in room though).

Review 31:Wonderful view. Friendly helpful staff. Very good value. Breakfast at communal table.

Review 52:Just a bit dated and tired.

Review 53:Location and views.

Review 54:Very nice and helpful hosts, breakfast was individual and very good. It requires a 15-20 minutes walk to the historic centre, butthe view from the house to the city is wonderful. Nothing to complain.

Review 55:- might be hard to move/get to the place without a car - walls are not the thickest, so do not expect a total quietness

Review 60:quiet location just outside a very attractive city with good facilities at very good price

Review 61:The B&B is located a bit out of town up a hill. Sadly our stay was marred somewhat by the owners kids running riot between 7-9am. Not good if you want a bit of a lie in. He did apologise but we'd rather he did something about it.
