Reviews for Best Western Les Beaux Arts

Review 1:room decoration bit dated, carpets stained

Review 2:friendly staff, comfortabele beds, nextdoor to nice restaurant and cosy bar for a beer nearby in same street along the river

Review 3:The overall impression is rather tired-looking 1990s. The bathroom was big, but the shower was very small + a bit of damp smelling; several little details (water boiler for tea and coffeee, but only one cup for a double room? No hook for towels close to the shower? bathroom door partially blocked by the bed?) Didn't try the breakfast for 12 Euro/person

Review 4:Good location, friendly staff, spacious room

Review 5:The TV was not visible from the bed, the need to put your door key into the electrical slot to have power was annoying when only one of us wanted to go out, and, the noise of moving trash cans all night in the courtyard was loud. The breakfast was expensive for what was available, we had to ask for coffee repeatedly as well as cream. The Wii Fii came in and out, not reliable.

Review 6:Location, ease of getting around town. We managed to get a parking spot right in front of the hotel, very lucky, that only cost 2 Euro. Good, spacious room, clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Review 7:The electric heating turned off without the keycard, which meant the room was cold on arriving in the evening.

Review 8:Friendly staff, excellent location, plenty of space (comfort room)

Review 9:The room was too warm and we couldn't find air con or any way to reduce the temperature.

Review 10:Good position, next to the river and in the town centre. The room was very clean and it was good to have a bath and a kettle provided. Secure parking is also available. We enjoyed a great meal in the restaurant.

Review 11:The hotel has no air conditions, which is very odd for a four star hotel of that chain. It was very hot and the lack of air conditioning was a problem.

Review 12:Location, very big rooms

Review 13:The staff were surly when we checked it. Maybe she had a bad day but it didn't endear us to the hotel. The decoration is dark and the sink had cracks in the surround and was a bit shabby

Review 14:The location is good.

Review 15:No air conditioning. This was a bummer because we were here during a heat wave. Dumpy bathroom with minimal supplies (only the dreadful gel soap). Also, dark rooms and hallways.

Review 16:Large suite rooms with free coffee/tea/cookies; quiet; excellent buffet breakfast with friendly staff. Central location. Staff speaks English.

Review 17:Not enough natural light into the room. The decor was very dark which also contributed to darkness

Review 18:A lovely older style hotel with large proportion rooms (suites)

Review 19:Breakfast is a bit expensive even for French hotels.

Review 20:Quiet and comfortable rooms for a reasonable price in this large town. Convenient for a variety of restaurants. Coffee/tea making essentials in room.

Review 21:Convenient for overnight stays. Have used this hotel quite often over ten years or so when travelling down south. It has been reliable and friendly and very well located.

Review 22:Double bed kept sliding apart as it was actually two single mattresses Breakfast was limited in choice Bathroom needed refurbishing

Review 23:Location Size of room Cleanliness Quiet and dark at night

Review 24:Hotel didn't have much in the way of facilities. Town is very affluent and not very tourist friendly. Horses for courses.

Review 25:Great location full of history.

Review 26:- Breakfast room gets very busy in the morning - Price list for mini-bar items would be helpful - Bedding had stains (but had clearly been washed, so these were old stains)

Review 27:- This time, I had a big, quiet room on the 4th floor which was excellent. (Avoid rooms on lower floors to the front; you will not sleep!) - Helpful staff - Great central location

Review 28:The hotel is in need of a severe makeover, dowdy, no drawers to put underwear in, no restaurant except for breakfast, Lift broken down between floor, waited some 20 minutes to be released.Cut short after 3 days due to an incident at home, definitely will not use Best Western again anywhere, most disappointing

Review 29:The usual small moan about wifi that a) requires repeated log in and b) doesn't support internet phone calls, which we like to use through the excellent BT Smarttalk app.

Review 30:We were in room 504 which is really a suite, with living room, separate toilet (from the bathroom). Good to have underground parking with direct access to the hotel (approach ramp somewhat hairy!). Receptionist spoke excellent English. Very central.

Review 31:NO AIR-CON???? How on earth can a hotel be classed as 4*(I've not read this anywhere, I was told at reception) with out air-con?

Review 32:Beautiful city/location

Review 33:The comfort room, huge and lovely

Review 34:Somewhat dusty in the rooms.

Review 35:Large rooms. Nice beds. Perfect location!

Review 36:Beautiful location on the river bank and close to city centre

Review 37:dont want to pay stars when it is hardly 2 stars

Review 38:no way 4 stars

Review 39:Great very central hotel to go and wander around town.

Review 40:The trees were in leaf.

Review 41:A quiet hotel close to the station and to the town centre with a view on the river Oise, if the trees are not in leaf.

Review 42:Bathroom construction somewhat outdated.

Review 43:Clean room, friendly personnel.

Review 44:Quiet, spacious, welcome

Review 45:Nothing

Review 46:Very helpful with my elderly disabled mother

Review 47:Breakfast was a bit limited

Review 48:Great family bedroom with spiral staircase and mezzanine for our daughter

Review 49:It was a last Minute booking. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull. Breakfast was lovely

Review 50:Receptionist on arrival not very forthcoming with information.

Review 51:Location & secure parking.

Review 52:No air con.

Review 53:Great location, friendly staff.

Review 54:Location, good size room, free wifi

Review 55:Our room at the top of the hotel was very hot in August.

Review 56:The helpfulness of the staff. Janine was excellent.

Review 57:Very dark and not very friendly

Review 58:Room size was very good

Review 59:Our accommodation was amazing. It is not easy to find a place where 2 adults and three children can stay together.

Review 60:Breakfast too expensive.

Review 61:Excellent Wifi, parking.

Review 62:The friendly and efficient welcome, the ambience of the hotel and the attention to detail and information about Compiegne. Ease of booking.

Review 63:During showering a lot of water is spilled on the floor causing a risk of fall. Poor ventilation of fresh air in the room

Review 64:Lighting in room very poor. Chairs looked good but were not comfoftable

Review 65:Large room with good facilities

Review 66:No lighting, low beams, not how bough water, no wifi and no TV in master bedroom

Review 67:Spacious suit

Review 68:network disconnect time to time

Review 69:fair for the hotel in Compiegne. Better than the other one. close to mid of the town.

Review 70:Breakfast not good value

Review 71:Large room set up as a suite Nice bathroom with bath Good location

Review 72:Didn't find the hotel's car park so had to use the public parking opposite.

Review 73:Expensive. Did not appear to be given option for a cheaper room when booked online

Review 74:quiet rooms

Review 75:No restaurant on site. Shown as 4 star in Booking.com listing, but more like 3 star.

Review 76:Walk to all major attractions.

Review 77:Shown to a room that hadn't been made up! Relocated to a smaller room. Water not topped up every day

Review 78:Staff very helpful

Review 79:Noise from street at night Having to keep windows open as no AC

Review 80:Location Underground parking

Review 81:No English TV channels, shower screen not big enough

Review 82:Decor, rooms, staff, breakfast

Review 83:friendly staff. good location. clean, big room

Review 84:Good location. Really friendly staff! Everything we needed. Thank you!

Review 85:2 lifts cumbersome

Review 86:Old world hotel. Lovely and friendly receptionist-Marie.

Review 87:Everything apart from the location

Review 88:Location

Review 89:The staff were great; we left out house keys but they found and post them to us.

Review 90:The glass shower screen was too small so it was impossible not to get the floor wet when showering. I don't know how much a breakfast is outside but I thought €12 a day for what was available was maybe €2 over the top.

Review 91:An older style property with charm in an excellent location. My room on the 5th floor was large with a kitchenette and tea making facilities, for me, a bonus.

Review 92:slightly dated building and very gloomy. No evening meal but plenty of restaurants close by . Off putting from the outside .

Review 93:central to the town , parking good , good selection for breakfast

Review 94:Coming out of the lift we were greeted by the strong smell of men's aftershave and brothel decor. The decor improved in the room but the scent remained....

Review 95:Good location by the river, friendly staff. Used as a stopover in a long commute and was comfortable and clean.

Review 96:The room was amazing, could not believe how huge it was. We had booked a family room as there were 6 or us so we were expecting 2 double beds and twin beds with some sort of barrier between them but what we walked into was a full apartment with lounge, kitchen and toilet downstairs and upstairs (yes an upstairs!!) there were 3 bedrooms, one with sink and shower and a family bathroom. It was wonderful, we all loved it. Breakfast was lovely, quiet, plenty to eat and drink. Also the children ate free. The croissants were delicious! This was the perfect start to our Disneyland holiday.

Review 97:Free wifi - you get what you pay for ;-)

Review 98:Location perfect.Good size rooms for families. Public parking directly across the street €6. Free breakfast for the kids. Decent restaurant next door.

Review 99:for the price, we expected breakfast to be included for all. Some bulbs missing, decoration seemed a bit tired.

Review 100:location, size of apartment, lovely people, free breakfast for kids, fabulous seat in the reception area!

Review 101:Hotel restaurant closed on the Sunday evening. Room rather basic with nocomfortable chairs and poor lighting. Requested room suitable for personwith limited mobility - no attempt made to meet this.

Review 102:Convenient location within walking distance of the city sights. Privateunderground parking.

Review 103:Lack of staff on duty....had to wander round calling out for someone to help us as there was no one on the front desk.

Review 104:Excellent bedroom...great views.

Review 105:Location good for walk in to Centre, but right on a busy road and was VERY noisy till early hours.

Review 106:Arrived late (22.00) all the facilities were closed and in darkness, room was ok, good shower, tea/coffee etc

Review 107:Excellent rooms - well air conditioned. Car Park was full upon arrival - our car was parked elsewhere and returned in the morning for our departure, excellent service!

Review 108:Too hot (especially in rooms on top floor in summer months). Fan in room was slightly louder than a jet fighter. Curtains (on sloping roof light) didn't keep out light, black out blind built into window - great if not too hot and window shut, but if window open you'll be getting up early. Electrical box in room emits a constant buzz. Bulb not working in bedside light. Shower tap control sticks out halfway into shower space.

Review 109:Good location, secure parking (€10 per night per vehicle).

Review 110:No decent map for tourists

Review 111:Staff friendly location central and short walk from the trainstation seperate bedroom for the children, it was like an apartmentminus the kitchen

Review 112:1.Shower facility was broken and throwing water all over. It could of been checked before. 2. If I was not on buisness trip, it would cost to much to stay there.

Review 113:Staff, Location, Facilities, all most everything!

Review 114:- Lack of bathroom toiletries was a big disappointment, as regular hotel travellers, we don't bring any and the quality of those provided was most definitely not five star, very poor in fact. - Dark corridors where you have to switch on light. - breakfast very average so even with a free child, we weren't tempted after the first morning.

Review 115:Really friendly staff. Car park facilities were great with access to hotel. Free wifi. Great location.

Review 116:Dirty, dishevelled, badly designed, outdated, broken, uncomfortable, cold, smelly altogether horrible experience. I was in a hurry so did not fully check out reviews and thought the name Best Western would mean quality.. I could not have been more mistaken

Review 117:We liked nothing whatsoever

Review 118:We used it on our way to Disneyland Paris and it was good for that. Compiegne has some interesting history and a large forest to explore and so may be a good place for a short break.

Review 119:signage & instructions were poor. Wi-fi and in-room telephone instructions in the room were inaccurate. Signage to underground car park poor. Mini-bar fridge gave off significant heat; poor fit of (plastic) windows allowed noise penetration from adjacent road.

Review 120:nice position in town. Related restaurant good. Breakfast good.

Review 121:This hotel was a lovely little bit of luxury after 10 days in a caravan by the sea! We stayed in a fantastic family room which was essentially a suite with a lounge area, 2 separate bedrooms and a bathroom with separate toilet! The town of Compiegne was lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We went to the Salon de The on the rue Legendre - good choice of food and decent prices.

Review 122:Breakfast was really basic, it's France so I would expect a bit more attention to food. The room was really noisy: I was on the first floor on a busy street.... not the best experience.

Review 123:The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. My room had a view of the river and a very groovy decor. The price was extremely reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised that it was much nicer than it came across on the website. Staff were pleasanat and helpful.Really enjoyed my stay here.

Review 124:The only negative comment would be that the room had two single beds as a double bed but it wasnt a problem, beds were very comfortable.

Review 125:Very friendly and helpful staff, ideal location in a bueatiful town. The room was very spacious and very quiet at night.

Review 126:We had booked 3rooms as a group and the toilet in one of the rooms didn't worl. We arrived just a little before 10pm and they could not accomodate dinner for our group.Breakfast was a little overpriced at 12euros per person.

Review 127:The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.

Review 128:Hotel is a little old-fashioned and room was a little dark, due to small windows.

Review 129:Huge room with seperate sitting area and kitchen. Decoration was rather strange and non-uniform. Hotel is centrally located and has underground parking.
