Review 1：We're generally a little apprehensive with 2 star hotels - some are great and others aren't so good. This hotel, conveniently located near the Autun SNCF gare is a real beauty. €59 was great value for our room (#2) which was spacious and had been relatively recently refurbished to a high standard. The large double bed was comfortable; the bathroom large and in good working order and spotlessly clean. Free enclosed parking - and also plenty of parking on the street. Very friendly staff and a restaurant which looked quite busy although we ate elsewhere. 10 minutes walk to the cathedral, museums, restaurants and central shopping. Autun itself is a lovely town and we will be back. And when we come back to Autun we will definitely stay at the Hotel de Commerce again.
Review 2：Had we not arrived when we did, the hotel would have been closed and we would need to have telephoned for arrangements for entry - not great when you don't speak French and have no mobile phone. Luckily we avoided this.

Review 7：Hotel was easily located. Mainly older decor in this building which comprises a bar and restaurant in the front. Room was comfortable with older furnishings but the bathroom had been redecorated. My room was 2 floors up so was a bit of a problem with luggage as there was no lift. But the staff helped in that matter. Parking was convenient behind the hotel.
