Reviews for Hôtel Du Port Et De L'aven
Review 1:One thing could be added, a kettle for making a drink in your room.
Review 2:The location was beautiful, the owner of the hotel was helpful and friendly, this hotel was very good value.
Review 3:I believe that part of the hotel is located a little way away from the main part. Wouldn't have been quite so happy with that.
Review 4:Very clean, perfect location and good food. Views from the dining room to die for.
Review 5:The hotel is in two parts, a main building and an annexe. We were in the annexe which was up a very steep hill. We had to change rooms from the 3rd floor to the ground floor. However this was done with the minimum of fuss
Review 6:The friendly and helpful husband, Frank who spoke little English but was pleasant and extremely polite!
Review 7:The hotel has two locations. One close to the port and one 300m from the port. We were hosted in the second and larger building (Hotel l'Aven). This building could be described as a Youth Hostel of the 70's.
Review 8:The hotel has two parts and we were a bit disappointed when we were in the more modern bit, which is a bit like an institution. However, it was comfortable and spotlessly clean and had a wonderful garden.
Review 9:Loved the location of the hotel. There's a beautiful beach nearby and a variety of places to eat. Family run hotel with friendly staff. Right on the coastal path, so easy to walk in either direction. Lovely and quiet. Great breakfast, with a nice view of the port.
Review 10:Wifi didn't work
Review 11:Best 2 star hotel we have ever stayed in. Fabulous location, excellent service, great food, comfy beds in a great room. Couldn't fault it.
Review 12:Location is great - walking distance from gorgeous little beach. Clean, friendly hotel. Ideal base to explore the area.
Review 13:One towel reeked of urine. I had to throw it out on the balcony to get the stench out of the room.
Review 14:Great spot Clean basic hotel
Review 15:Being so close to the sea. Good restaurant Quiet location
Review 16:Great location excellent food
Review 17:We paid for a superior room but felt it was low quality. Do not feel we had value for money. Photos on website was also misleading as hotel did not look like this in reality from what we saw.
Review 18:lovely location and good views of the sea. Very very clean. basic but all essentials there, kettle in room would have been a great addition. Beds comfortable, staff very friendly
Review 19:Room 12 hotel de l'aven was much smaller and not quite as well 'finished'.
Review 20:Views from room 15 (hotel de l'aven) were super, a bright, airy room, clean and refurbished recently. Cheerful and accomodating staff.
Review 21:Steep walk from Hotel De L'Aven down to Hotel Du Port wouldn't suit everyone. When you book you should know which hotel you are in.
Review 22:Very good value. Owners very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast very good as was food in restaurant. Position and view very good from restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay.
Review 23:My wife and I thought this hotel was ,bearing in mind what we paid, excellent! We did'nt take breakfast, but that was out of choice, but the whole experience was very good. The evening meal was very good, and the location compared to other budget hotels A1.
Review 24:I did not realise that our room would be up the hill in a separate building. If I came again, I would choose to be in the hotel itself because of the position.
Review 25:The setting of the hotel itself was lovely-overlooking the Aven estuary. The evening meal was excellent--added to the view from the dining room. Monsieur le patron was charming and welcoming to all the guests .
Review 26:Great location, close to lovely beach and coastal walks Excellent restaurant.
