Reviews for Hôtel Des Arcades
Review 1:Wifi worked well, but required logging on frequently. Coffee at breakfast could be tastier.
Review 2:Clean, friendly and flexible staff. Breakfast Well priced.
Review 3:Our non smoking room had ash on the floor and a glass roof just under our window was litered with butts, Shower from above leaked into bathroom. The floor in the room above (which my daughter stayed in) was liquid under the lino, Mould in her room was up the walls. Paper hanging off the walls. We made the mistake of paying for both rooms in advance with out inspection the rooms. Just very poor and shoddy can't think of a worse room that we've stayed in. A Gallic shrug is good enough when pointed out to the manager.
Review 4:Sadly other than the location in relation to the town I can find anything else to say.
Review 5:Very poor wifi. Attendant leaves at night w/ no ability to reach any staff at night. Code given to enter hotel not fully explained. It required more than entry of numbers, additional stepd not explained. Hotel reception, cold, distant, but efficient. The word hospitality did not come to mind.
Review 6:The manager took the full amount of the stay including breakfast upon check in. The breakfast was only pieces of baguettes with butter and jam and the orange juice was expired. No cold milk!! My mother and I who were travelling for the funeral of my mother in law were given a room which was below a nest of wasps and we had 10 wasps per day until he finally agreed to change the roo. i am very allergic and phobic to insects so this was a nightmare. The bathroom of the first room was nothing like the picture. The walls are extremely thin and there was alot of noise. You could hear the Tv in other rooms and people talking. We informed the manager that we had an early train to catch upon check out so we had to leave at 5:30 AM but no one is there after 7 or 8:00 Pm therefore we had to leave the keys in a counter... the wifi disconnect all the time so you have to log in again everytime. no elevators... I wonder where the 2 stars are coming from??
Review 7:Location
Review 8:The mold on the bathroom ceiling, the smell of mustiness in the room. The smokers standing in front and thier smoke coming into our open windows to get rid of the musty smell, just replaced it with smoke.
Review 9:Size, parking option and the town.
Review 10:Had a pool, great for the family. We ate breakfast, plenty of choice and good value. Room used for overnight stop beds comfy and bathroom great, had bath with shower over it.
Review 11:Bathroom small, noisy road, no air con or fan
Review 12:Location to train stations and metro, walking distance from Momarte
Review 13:Very nice place to stay
Review 14:The hotel smelled terribly. Not sure what it was, but we all got headaches, sore throats. Maybe it was the downstairs paint that was still new?
Review 15:Our reservation hadn't been printed out, so the lady at reception had difficulty understanding what rooms we had booked.
Review 16:Nice and quiet. Comfortable. Good shower. Good wifi connection. Close to the town and easy to park.
Review 17:Very old accommodation , poor service, nobody at the reception after 10pm, horrible bathroom . Located in front of trains station...May be for backpackers , but even for them it's to expensive !
Review 18:Nothing,
Review 19:A little dusty. Poor administration: no English speakers, our repeatable request for a ground floor room was ignored, breakfast must be paid in advance to avoid administration problems. Breakfast fairly modest.
Review 20:Nice renovated bathroom. Good wifi signal.
Review 21:WiFi was not working over the 3 days we were there (system breakdown)
Review 22:free parking facilities, nice bathroom, fair breakfast, well situated, manager eager to please and mend what was needed,
Review 23:Stayed twice - travelling to and from our destination. Way back, farworse than way there. Room 1 - not too bad. Room 2 - shower rail brokentherefore had to hold shower head. Cracked tiles - dangerous on barefeet. No constant temperature in shower. Shutter broken in bathroom -window onto main road! Wallpaper coming off wall in bathroom and mainroom. In main room radiator removed from wall - brackets etc left onwall - dangerous. Several lights not working. Wardrobe door handlesbroken. Windowsill was piece of wood jammed into wall - when touched itfell off. Breakfast not very good - little choice, all cold. Had samebreakfast in motorway services on way back for fraction of price. Verydisappointed.
Review 24:Its location. Beautiful town. Price was good. Reception areas verymodern, air conditioned and clean.
Review 25:Strong smell of diesel in entrance hall, room smelt old and musty, window shutter broken so unable to let daylight into room, some bathroom tiles were away from the wall poor sealant around bath and some black mould. Not being aloud to leave key at reception when going out having to carry key with huge fob with nowhere to put it.
Review 26:Free wifi did not work. Hotel has no elevator, so heavy suitcases will cause a problem in the narrow alleys. Bad lighting in the hall. Cheap breakfast with very little choice. Only one powerplug in the room, charging 2 phones at the same time was impossible. Very very noisy rooms, mostly due to old wooden floors and thin walls.
Review 27:Good beds, nice bathroom, very nice personel ( speak only French). Free parking around hotel.
Review 28:Bathroom clean but in bad condition, shower head support broken, etc.
Review 29:Easy to reach, friendly welcome, free wifi, closed parking for my motorbike
Review 30:The walls are rather thin. We could hear a lot and it did wake us up throughout the night.
Review 31:The hotel was easy to find and it was reasonably priced.
Review 32:Overnight stop.
Review 33:convenient and calm place to stay / nice place for breakfast
Review 34:Decor in rooms scruffy
Review 35:Close to town centre, secure (if scruffy) parking (additional cost), spacious room and comfy beds.
Review 36:Good breakfast and although no restaurant at hotel good options very close by
