Review 1：No reception, do not arrive before 3pm sharpe they will not check you in, dark room, and no window to open,

Review 3：Not impressed that clean towels were left on the toilet seat. Clean towels could be left on the bed, or fix a shelf in the bathroom which is normal for hotels. Knowledge of train times would be useful. Bedspreads needed a wash (lightweight duvets preferable to sheets and bedspread).
Review 4：Location. Clean rooms. Good wardrobe space in rooms. Good size room. Nice staff. Secure baggage storage. Price.
Review 5：The staff were unwelcoming, and the 'garden' was an outdoor bar / restaurant with no seating for guests not using these facilities. The decor was faded, dark and not very tasteful. Not possible to have windows open because of the noise of the road. Nowhere to dry towels or swimming gear so had to be creative with use of wardrobe rails etc.
Review 6：The location was excellent - for the town and for the beach, and on the bus route to the station (although very few buses ran). Good air conditioning and wifi.

Review 22：Breakfast is very basic. I am sure you can get more for 10€ per person in the town. Some mould in the bathroom and it needs to be cleaned underneath the bed.

Review 28：The garden restaurant "Un coin de ...." Whilst the food was good the service was very slow and the lighting was so poor it was impossible to see what we were eating. The staff were sullen and sour especially when we mistakenly thought that bill could added to our hotel bill.
Review 29：The marketing of the hotel talks about a restaurant on the premises but it doesn't say that it's not part of the hotel, it just shares the grounds and there is no distinction between where the hotel grounds end and the restaurant begins. Don't expect to use the restaurant tables even when shut...the female owner is rude, aggressive and not what you want to deal with when on holiday. An elderly relative dared to sit at one of the tables to eat breakfast (the restaurant doesn't open until the afternoon) from a tray so as not to make a mess of the table and the owner of the restaurant forcibly grabbed the tray from her, shouting at her to 'GET OUT!' and forced her to leave. Not the welcoming atmosphere we expected.
Review 30：Hotel was clean and the desk staff were all too happy to help when we were there. Some of our party had luggage delayed in London and the hotel team were really supportive.
Review 31：The interior is dark, old-fashioned and of bad taste. There is no lobby, no hotel bar, no hotel restaurant (the garden restaurant is run by another company) so there is nowhere to sit during the day. The rooms are basic (no fridge, bad internet, no desk). The hotel looks very dead; as if the owners are squeezing the last euro out of their property without any interest in running a guest-friendly hotel. The location deserves a much better hotel than this

Review 53：The hotel is not situated at the sea side, it'll take you about 5 min to walk to a public beach. We didn't manage to regulate the air condition. Even in the 'off' mode it was starting to work at night - could be uncomfortable to wake up from cold. THERE IS hot water in the bathroom (room 36 at least) but it's not easy to regulate it at the nice temperature, for me it was always too hot or too cold. And the biggest 'minus': in the bathroom there was NO holders for the towels AT ALL! What is very uncomfortable!! Not even a small hook or smth! And the only narrow shelf - on the other side from the shell! Very strange and not comfortable at all! And yes, the room was not very good isolated in terms of sound... Every morning we woke up with our neighbors leaving their room. But it's quite common for France. :)
Review 54：The hotel staff was very welcoming and provided us with all needed information. The hotel is nicely situated just next to the port & all restaurants. The room was clean. It's quite fine to stay for 1 or 2 nights. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel, so can't say anything about the restaurants: in the port you'll find a lot of cafes to have breakfast for less money and more beautiful view!
Review 55：the water was not very hot. I had to wait 30 mins for the staff to arrive late so I could check out. My buisness is registered in France but they refused to put my French TVA number on the invoice.
Review 56：Phone did not work in my room so moved to another, but that didnt work either; heating did not work properly in either rooms and was told it was blocked. I was given a small heater. Reception closed at 11pm and a person in neighbouring room had loud TV on all night so couldn't complain. I took up these issues with the manager asking for some compensation. Not only wouldn't she listen she was rude and condescending and intimated I was to blame for the heating issue "because I didn't know how to operate it!" As a seasoned traveller it was one of the easiest to use it just didnt work for long. I also wrote an email to her about my concerns but had no reply. Lyn, The Hague. I was on the top 3rd floor with no elevator and no help offered with luggage until I asked.

Review 58：The hotel is advertised as set in a large garden so we expected it to be quiet. However, it has very busy roads on two sides. It's also popular for wedding parties and other events, so you can expect loud music and partying till 4 am. Weirdly for a hotel, guests are allowed one sliver of soap and two sachets of shampoo per visit regardless of how long they are staying. If you want more, apparently you must buy your own. That was a first.

Review 72：Expensive! Items needed repair, in the room, these should have been spotted before residents did! Getting a bit shabby! Needs a good overhaul, yes I realise this costs money. But if some one has an accident due to flooring outside or steps to outside, whose fault is that. This is meant as constructive criticism. Lastly get the trees pollard'd.
Review 73：Staff were very good, they helped with my "little French" there English was good. Cleanliness was also very good, cleaners well trained. We enjoyed the "odd but pleasing decor". Lilly was wonderful, she's the lady in the "garden restaurant" that helped us the first night.

Review 75：Very disappointing. We were told our room was not available and given an upgrade to a Superior Room at a much higher price. We refused but the Receptionist said that we must have it and when we protested she said our French was not good enough to understand her. But we did! She tried to increase the price again. We gave up and decided to fight it with Booking.com. We went to our room which was NOT Superior! It was a divided room with an area for children to sleep. The window looked out on to a tiled roof. The next day we tried again with the Receptionist and said I didn't understand why we should pay an extra charge. She just got louder and louder and we had to walk away from her. When we came to pay another Receptionist gave us an altered contract and a very high bill. Luckily my husband found his contract on his mobile phone and she finally agreed that we had been badly overcharged and reduced the bill. It was awful to have to argue about a bill that had been agreed beforehand. All other hotels we went to did not try and overcharge us.

Review 81：The Grand hotel des bains is in an ideal location just minutes walk from both the beach and the central hub of Sanary Sur Mer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and as we had no laptop or i-phone we found the computer in lounge with free internet access a real bonus.

This place is not as run down as I expected from some of thereviews here; it's just not particularly modern but it is very clean.The reception staff were friendly. Bed was good and the room had airconditioning. Free parking space also came in handy. The lift isswitched off at night so you have to walk up the stairs - it's may bedifficult if you have mobility problems.

The staff in the bar/restaurant was so rude, I left without ordering. On complaining at reception, I was told that the hotel was aware of this, having had numerous complaints.

It is a little run down.The room badly lacks a small fridge (it was not a great problem for usin January, but in the summer it would really be needed). We were abovethe bar and there was music Friday evening - not really disturbing, butthe music went on till midnight. All in all it was great for ourpurpose: few days' stay in January.
