Reviews for Hôtel Le Labrador

Review 1:Rooms do not have air conditioning, no in house toiletries.

Review 2:Really nice looking hotel with paid private parking on request. Fantastic view and breakfast served on the balcony

Review 3:Watch out for the slippers on the wet floor. Slipped so often - quite dangerous. Would advise changing the style of slippers given out - they were more dangerous than the slopes!! Also, there were frequent strange banging noises between 5 and 6am.

Review 4:Staff really friendly, facilities were great. Very cute, warm hotel. Really enjoyed my stay.

Review 5:We were in a room with an interconnecting door to the next room and could hear every word spoken by the guests next door. The hotel told us that there were 2 doors in between with sound insulation but it wasn't effective. We therefore didn't sleep well. I would stay in the hotel again, but I would specify a room that isn't interconnecting.

Review 6:Staff very friendly & helpful, quiet location with nice views, relaxing lounge area with lovely fire, very nice bathroom, short walk to ski bus & Flegere lift (we drove and left car at Flegere car park which was free, then caught the bus from there)

Review 7:Wi fi, crazy to have to reload every hour. Would have liked coffee in the room. Weird hair dryer. I wish there was a mirror in the room. Make it easier for 2 people to get ready in the am.

Review 8:Nice location, great entry way with fire. Nice and cozy. I liked leaving my key on the hook. Room very large. Handy ski/boot room. Staff friendly and gave great recommendations for dining out.

Review 9:That management tried to charge me more than it should have. And instead of trying to resolve issue with Booking.com or admit that there was misunderstanding between the hotel and booking.com insisted on charging me. That system of charging for change in the booking 1 month in advance is very client unfriendly, so be careful with this hotel.

Review 10:the difficulty of opening and closing the balcony window/door - I mastered it eventually.

Review 11:exeptional welcome - excellent location and nearness to my favourite restaurant. Good breakfast.

Review 12:There was free parking, nice friendly staff especially the dark haired reception lady who i also chatted with at breakfast(GSOH). Big room comfortable and warm with a large bathroom. Common room with pool table, board games and a bar. Free use of spa (needs to be hotter) ,sauna and steam room. Breakfast was awesome plenty to eat and adequate selection. Wanted to stay another night but they were full make sure you are organised during ski season!

Review 13:Very pretty and well kept hotel, quite expensive looking both outside and inside. Breakfast was varied, spa area was clean and great looking, so good to relax in. Facilities for ski gear is spacious and easy to access from outside and through to the hotel. The lobby was comfortable and had a huge log fire every night, and the staff were always well informed and accommodating. The flegele gondola is right outside hotel and access to others via bus is easy. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, plus the duvet on the bed is the longest I've ever seen (I'm 6'3") so there was no chance my toes get cold. Bathroom is well built and pretty, plus the view was a mountain. Lift passes are available from reception.I could not find a fault with the place. Although it is a little out of chamonix town centre, there are several walking distance restaurants that are good.

Review 14:Locality for beginner skiers as need to get a bus to the beginner area in La Plannard

Review 15:Extremely friendly staff and efficient and made me feel very welcome

Review 16:It was not possible to have a drink in the pool area. No food in the bar (the hotel is very close to a very nice restaurant though). It would be so nice if they should serve a Cheese plate or simular in the bar.

Review 17:Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, facilities and a beautiful view over Mont Blanc.

Review 18:The wifi speed wasn't great but it didn't put a damper on the holiday and we would stay there again.

Review 19:The staff were super friendly and helpful - the hotel was well situated for the Flegere gondola station (just a short walk) and the views were incredible - the restaurant next door was also good but if wanted to go further afield the staff made some excellent recommendations.

Review 20:Rates are a bit expensive in my opinion.

Review 21:Very friendly service, the possibility of getting food delivered to the hotel from the nearby restaurant La Cabane. Vicinity to the slopes. Cosy, family like atmosphere.

Review 22:Nice quite location, close to the ski-lift (only a short walk) also easy connection with the ski-bus. Cosy hotel with fireplace and nice spa facilities.

Review 23:The staff was great. The breakfast buffet, unlike what other posters have suggested, was really good too. The views were spectacular. This was a really family friendly hotel.

Review 24:The beds were slightly hard and it would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast

Review 25:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the lounge area was absolutely lovely expecially with the fire going and the hot tub/spa area was delightful. We would definitely stay there again and would wholeheartedly recommend it

Review 26:Only downside is if no case the buses from the centre of town Sri at 7.30 pm apart from a couple of night buses which run late

Review 27:Beautiful location and hotelnext to the ski lift. Very efficient friendly staff .

Review 28:Nil really - all good

Review 29:good value needed car as early season and snow conditions a bit patchy Very helpful staff opened bar at midnight when we arrived after flight delay!!!

Review 30:The room had a wonderful view of Mont Blank, and the ninth hole.It was quiet and peacefull, just out of the busy Chamonix. It was close to one of the cable cars, so a good base from which to walk.

Review 31:friendly welcome & helpful throughout

Review 32:That there wasn't a restaurant of their own

Review 33:The tranquility of location & restaurant next door

Review 34:We loved the combination of the rustic with the modern. Also, the views are fabulous.

Review 35:Co fort Situation

Review 36:Beautiful setting, good room and breakfast. Good restaurant nearby

Review 37:Eden in earth

Review 38:Friendly staffs and excellent service. The landscapes of Mont Blanc from the room. Abundant choices of breakfast.

Review 39:Leaving

Review 41:nothing

Review 42:Great value for great location

Review 43:Walk to ski lift . Quite a lot of queues

Review 44:away from crowds . lovely decor and staff

Review 45:Fabulous views of Mont Blanc, very peaceful location away from the road.

Review 46:Very friendly and helpful staff.Excellent breakfast.

Review 47:Honestly nothing at all.

Review 48:Great facilities, friendly staff.

Review 49:Very poor sound insulation (woken up by other guests) and not a nice shower. Expensive for what it was.

Review 50:Friendly service, nice location, nice hammam.

Review 51:Expensive

Review 52:Excellent location and friendly staff. Rooms are basic, but cozy.

Review 53:not cheap for a 3 star.

Review 54:Great location, friendly staff, comfortable place.

Review 55:Tiny. Baby next to freezing window

Review 56:Friendly. Breakfast on site. Baby bed. Cozy

Review 57:Very friendly staff. Nice place. Great value for money.

Review 58:Poor breakfast

Review 59:Staff readiness. Close to golf course.

Review 60:View from balcony over sunny golf course to snowy Mont Blanc beyond. A gem in the summer.

Review 61:We used the hotel for an overnight stay on the way to Italy in May 2014. Chamonix was very quiet at this time. The hotel was clean, pleasant and the staff were helpful. We did not use facilities.

Review 62:A little far out of the town centre and the buses do not run frequently in the evenings. However, we quickly discovered that it is in fact an easy walk of about 20 minutes so not a problem.

Review 63:Great fireplace in the reception area. Very close to ski lifts, nice rooms and sauna

Review 64:Advertised as ski in, ski out but the main ski lift at Flagere was a couple of hundred metres away.

Review 65:Very nice hotel with welcoming service and comfortable, cosy accomodation.

Review 66:The parking and the road in front of the hotel remains in bad conditions when it snows.

Review 67:Very confortable room. Great view from the balcony. Friendy staff. Completely silent during the night.

Review 68:Wifi was only available in the lobby, we didn't have signal in the room. There are only 2 dining options in walking distance.

Review 69:We liked the room decoration, was very cozy. Our balcony faced a nice mountain view. Breakfast was good, breakfast room was very home-like and staff very friendly and English speaking.

Review 70:A bit far from the center, taxi very expensive. Room quite small.

Review 71:Nice location near the ski lift. Excellent view and cosy atmosphere. Very good restaurant next to the hotel.

Review 72:The buses, which is nothing to do with the hotel, but a result of its location. Our only issue was getting to and from Chamonix. In the end because we were only there for 4 nights we went once and stayed around the vicinity of the hotel the rest of the time.

Review 73:The welcome was really good and the lady behind the desk provided us with loads of information and advice. The breakfast was good, lots of breads, conserves, cheese, yoghurt and pastries as well as the option of eggs. The pool table and bar was nice, very quiet. We were the only ones in there when we were there. Our Drus room was basic but a really nice bathroom which for I think is always a good indicator. It was a very short walk to the Flegere ski lift and we had hired skis through the Ravanel shop who let you leave your skis there overnight to save having to take them back to the hotel. The Cabane restaurant was brilliant and a bit classier than the Rhodendron which offered a more pub style atmosphere. It did good reasonable pizzas etc. On the last night we found another restaurant in a hotel which was nice a little further away from the hotel Overall a really good base for a long weekend.

Review 74:Wi-Fi in the room was very unstable and most of the time did not work at all. In the lobby it was ok.

Review 75:The overall impression of the hotel is good. It is outside of the village of Chamonix and at least in the wintertime walking into the city for dinner is not an alternative. There is an excellent restaurant nearby but for a change it is also nice to go to the city. We had a rental car and there was a good (and free) parking place in front of the hotel. After a day on the slopes the sauna, the steam room and the jacuzzi were just wonderful! The breakfast cost 13.50 € but it was worth it.

Review 76:Very friendly staff. Great location. If the weather is good you can see Mont Blanc from your terrace and the golf club's territory what is pleasant for the eyes and there are no other hotels back to back - silence all around( we lived on the second floor, room with Mont Blanc view). Wonderful restaurant nearby, the quality of the food is just excellent (main course, dessert, tea, and a glass of wine cost 50 euros per person). I would highly recommend the hotel for those who love hiking, golf and just a relaxation in mountains.

Review 77:No restaurant in hotel Taxis into town in evening expensive

Review 78:Very good rooms Very quiet location 150m from ski lift / bus stop Excellent restaurant next door(La Cabane) Excellent friendly staff

Review 79:Would have like tea/coffee making facility in the room.

Review 80:Clean and comfortable. Most staff firendly. Mary extremely welcomingm firendly and accomodating.

Review 81:We came up there at night, and at the entrance of chamonix we got happy. Evereything was great, to park the car, you have a private parking too, the was excellent, but maybe more tv channels will be great. at the next opportunity, we will go back.

Review 82:Parking filled by the golf course clients. Obliged to take the limited availability and costly garage parking. There should be more parking reserved for hotel guests.

Review 83:Great location just outside Chamonix on the golf course. Clean and well run.

Review 84:The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet location, with stunning views. Thedecor is very traditional and well maintained. The rooms arecomfortable, and the staff friendly.

Review 85:The hair dryer was one of these old fashioned tubes that don't work verywell. The breakfast room is a bit cramped.

Review 86:Nice location close to golf course of Chamonix. The bedroom was verycomfortable. There was a terrace as well, looking onto golf course.Quiet at night. Close to the fashionable restaurant La Cabane.

Review 87:The room was ok, but certainly nothing special. I do not think it was great value for money.

Review 88:The staff were very nice, the location was very good for us, and the views were amazing.

Review 89:I stayed in the 1 bed suite and it was excellent. Close to ski lift etc. staff were very helpful. Great hotel and I would definately stay there again if in Chamonix

Review 90:This is being ultra critical - ramp to and from the boot room was lethal. There were no English channels on the room TV (there were in the bar area though). We found the room a touch small, but then who knows what we'd have done with the extra space?

Review 91:5 minutes walk from the Flegere lift, which you could actually ski back down to. Plenty of hotel parking space. Staff were very friendly and communicative. Lovely bar area with a quality pool table. Spa area was clean and tidy and everything worked perfectly. 2 excellent restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Breakfast was basic but just what we expected - nearly all the hotels serve the same thing. If you're hungry, just eat more!

Review 92:Friendly and accommodating.

Review 93:staff helping us with lift passes and best place to ski each day and eat of an evening.

Review 94:Nothing

Review 95:How lovely n clean, warm n comfortable it is. Very nice lounge next to a wood fire. Fantastic breakfast. Great location. Very helpful staff.

Review 101:It is 30 minutes walking from Chamonix center.

Review 102:Mountain view

Review 103:Room was a little small, No seating on the balcony

Review 104:Resident's spa, location, view, balcony

Review 105:Would have been good to have tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Review 106:Very comfortable beds. Good to have a fridge.

Review 107:No minusus

Review 108:Very friendly and supportive personnel, flexible check-in, check-out on request, close to lifts to Flegere, excellent restaurant close by

Review 109:the noise in the morning from the kitchen and corridor

Review 110:excellent price for the quality of the hotel and friendliness of the staff

Review 111:Breakfast was really good but pricey, only thing that lets the hotel down is not having any other food available as the location is quite remote

Review 112:Fairly expensive, staff generally very nice, one a bit grumpy.

Review 113:Nice views, comfortable, relaxed
