Reviews for Residence De La Tour

Review 1:It's small, no elevator, and a bit shabby. But good value and safe enough.

Review 2:Was ok for the price, nothing fancy. Very good secure underground parking at a very reasonable price for Paris. Conceirge was a nice man.

Review 3:Very helpful staff, provided good local advice on travel and eating arrangements. Car park was very secure. Connection to Metro was a real plus point and only a matter of minutes to centre of Paris.

Review 4:Airco was doing a good effort trying to get the temperature down, but it was just not enough against the Paris-heat in July. Sleeping with open windows was the best solution. No elevator (no problem for me, but just to mention).

Review 5:Nice, professional and helpful staff, location in Paris is great as a base-camp for a couple of days, good organised underground private parking place for the car across the street. We had a great time in Paris, thanks !

Review 6:Room doesn't equipped with aircond, summer here day temperature achieved 40 degree Celsius and night above 30 degree celcius, keep wake and sweat, can't sleep well..not even a standing fan or wall fan provided

Review 7:Well located, only 5 mins walk to the metro station Staff very friendly and helpful Wifi strength strong

Review 8:We arrived in record heat wave and there is no aircon BUT the wonderful staff looked after us with a fan and ice for our drinks! Magnifique!

Review 9:The village was great, the location was close to city and the staff were fantastic. Ozzie (sorry if I spelt that wrong) you are a super hostess. Great knowledge and help for English speaking visitors. Other staff not so fluent with English still wonderfully helpful. I will come again.

Review 10:Location is very good, the hotel about 5 minutes wolking metro station, and you can go "Champ Elizes"street by only one metro line.. İ advise ..

Review 11:Can be a bit hot in the summer without AC, also a little noisy if you leave your windows open as some rooms overlook the street. These are rather minor things though, not much to complain about!

Review 12:My colleagues and I stay here often and are always glad to come back. Easy access to the hotel from the peripherique by car or by metro. Everything you need is close by; multiple types of restaurants, large grocery store, laundromat, tabac, gas station, good secure garage parking (although 12€/night is a bit steep), great access to the metro. Simple but well worth the money. The owners are always very accommodating!

Review 13:the windows make pass the noise from outside and in the morning it is quite disturbing

Review 14:Very nice location, just few stops from the center, a lot of restaurants and caffe in area, also some shops. Nice and helpful staff, that speaks english

Review 15:only deficient is they do not have air conditioning in the room and the rest is all ok

Review 16:it is a very nice hotel compared to other hotels in the area and the price is accepted, staff is ok I will definitely return to this hote

Review 17:Lovely people run this small hotel- charming gentleman and his daughter. Both very helpful, unpretencious and friendly. Room were small and rather noisy, but we slept so well we could barely hear the street outside. They do the cleaning everyday. And actually as long as I can take hot shower whenever I want and bed sheets are clean I'm happy- so I was:) Subway and trams are close enough, bus stop is just nearby. 24/7 gas station store is just a short walk from the hotel which may be important if you like to do the grocery in the morning. Shops in Paris are closed before 9:00 a.m. What you can buy at 7 a.m.is baguette, cigarettes, newspaper and coffee :) Even though our French collegue told us Malakoff is not the safest area in Paris I could not tell a single bad word about it. Perfect for people who do not expect luxury spa for 65EUR per day ;)

Review 18:All good

Review 19:Great location in a beautiful friendly and quite village. Staff were fantastic.

Review 20:Cleanliness

Review 21:Everything Staff especially Ozi

Review 22:Excellent location.

Review 23:Nice place to stay in malakoff

Review 24:The only thing that we didnt like was that there was only one socket in the room

Review 25:Nice and cozy. The staff were really great. Good location.

Review 26:Everything

Review 27:The staff is really friendly and helpful. Very close to the metro and montparnasse railway station Good resraurants around at reasonnable prices.

Review 28:Stairway too narrow (really difficult to go up with big baggage)

Review 29:Excellent location! Is situated at 4 minutes from Malakoff Metro. As a family of 4 we had interlinked double rooms with an en-suite shower/WC and a small kitchen with fridge, sink, electric hob and a microwave. Secure car parking was safe and easy to use. The owner was most helpful in every way. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Review 30:No Lift,No luggage service, No clean blankets,Broken shower, slept bad on the first day with unzipped twin bed instead a double bed with back pain.requested a double bed on reservation.Never advice anyone to go there.

Review 31:Only the location.

Review 32:Nothing to dislike.

Review 33:Excellent location 4 minutes from Malakoff Metro, which is about 14 minutes from Montparnasse. As a family of 4 we had interlinked double rooms with an en-suite shower/WC and a small ktchen with fridge, sink, electric hob and a microwave. Secure car parking was safe and easy to use. The owner was most helpful in every way.

Review 34:We use our hotel just for sleep. Only thing we look for is a clean room. But unfortunately that is not what we saw when we get there. Room was really dirty. Both floor and sheets on the bed. Fortunately we brought our sheets and used it. I dont want to give details because i dont want to embarrass people over there. They already know what i talk about.

Review 35:Close to the metro station.

Review 36:Simple decor and a bit ragged; however, other pluses and the sweetmanager make up for it. Great place for a family. Those who require airconditioning or elevators should not stay here.

Review 37:Room for 4 people was actually a small apartment. This is a good findsince hotel rooms are notoriously small and one must take two rooms fora family of four in most of them. Service is personable and location isa short walk to metro. There are several restos and shops right inMalakoff as well as a great open market on Sunday'S. There is alaundromat close by.

Review 38:Climbing three flights of stairs. There is no elevator. There is no air conditioning.

Review 39:The beds were comfortable, the staff were wonderful. The rooms were small but adequate.

Review 40:Saturday night was horrible, couldn't sleep at all. There people in the hallway making noises that i couldnt hear in the room i had to wake up in the middle of the night to shut them up...

Review 41:We stayed in room nº25, the bed was to small for a couple and thebedroom only had 15 inches around the bed...impossible to move in thebedroom at the same time! The shower was also very bad, with no waterpression. To wash the hair, its necessary, at least, 20 minutes and verypacience!!! The stairs were to tight, very difficult to get up with ourbags. For a future visit to Paris, this hotel is a place to avoid!!

Review 42:We liked the staff and the location (5 minutes from the subway and twominutes from a supermarket).

Review 43:Very simple hotel but pretty much the best price you'll get in paris for a room with an ensuite and a good location close to a metro stop and ethnic restaurants.

Review 44:It's not realy negative but the hotel and the familyroom looks alittle bit outdated but some people like that. The wardrobe wasn'tvery stable and firm. I couldn't close the doors (there was one inboth rooms though). There is no elevator. Stairs are a bit small. Theroom was clean but could use some maintenance.

Review 45:Simple hotel. You get a night key to go and come when you please. Thefamilyroom (21) had a desk , a kitchen, shower and toilet, a dinnertablewith 4 chairs and a standalone airco we didn't use. There where 2seperate bedrooms which was very nice. Each room had a tv. We only usedthe room so I can't say anything about other facilities. Paidparking is in garage and is good and necessary because there was no freeparkingspace available (lots of local cars). Metro is nearby and hasgood connections. The stop Montparnasse - Bienvenüe has a lot ofrestaurants and bars with good atmosphere. And there is a great view onthe tower. We went in the evening. Very nice. The staff is very fiendlyand speaks English. Free wifi. Good place to stay for a citytrip toParis at a reasonable price.

Review 46:Beds were not very comfortable. Could hear conversations distinctly inthe next room.

Review 47:Loved the location, Malakoff was convenient to Paris. Short ride on theMetro. Lots of restaurants and shops near by. Staff was lovely and veryhelpful. Good wifi.

Review 48:Walls a bit thin, room not the cleanest. Not the best location if one wants to go running.

Review 49:Excellent rooms for family with basic kitchen allowing for self catering and secure carpark that was not too expensive. Near restaurants and supermarket. Safe area not far from metro. Friendly to French speakers. Excellent value. Free wifi & 2 TVs.

Review 50:Only carrying our luggage to the room.

Review 51:My wife and I were very pleased to stay at this residence de la tour. Iwill tell all my friends about our stay at this place. Again we will bevisiting next year. Thanks for your kindness in guiding us to reach ourvisiting places.GOD BLESS YOU ALL VALENTINE AND VERONICA.

Review 52:No kettle in room for making coffee and tea

Review 53:Clean comfortable with good shower on suite close to metro station only 10 min trip to centre of Paris on metro and very convenient for flea market at weekends excellent value for money.

Review 54:1. heater wasn't working at all. 2. Too noisy, I can hear sounds coming from every rooms around me, and it's not just small noise, but felt like people were talking or showering in my room!

Review 55:The bed was uncomfortable for me - very soft (bonnell spring), after 2 days, i had back pain.

Review 56:Nice place,5min by walk to metro, quite place. From hotel to centrum by metro takes 25min. Room was clean, and every day room was tied up. Bathroom had everything what should to have (towels, shampoo, toilet paper, soap ...). rooms were equipped with radiators and heating and cooling mashine.

Review 57:it is a little bit far from the center, but with metro it is ok.

Review 58:great stuff, clean and orderly, good price, quiet neigborhood where are enough restaurants and cafes.

Review 59:It desperately needs a make-over, its drab and as you walk up the stairs to your room, you get a feeling of doom. Nothing some good lighting and a re-paint could not fix. Once in 'our' room, it really needed modernisation. However on the positive side, the bed and the room were clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel is good, as there is a metro station within a 10 minute walk which takes you into the centre of the city.

Review 60:Fairly close to the 'Metro', good parking (if you pay), good local restaurants

Review 61:It was a 20 metro ride from the city center. There were steep stairs. Not a problem for us, but I can see the commute being an issue for older travelers.

Review 62:The price was right. We didn't want to spend a lot of money for a hotel in Paris. Clean and modest. The room was big enough and we had our own bathroom.

Review 63:The staff were lovely and very friendly. The breakfast was also good. I got a real sense that staff wanted to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Review 64:It was terribly hot in the tiny room, but we couldn´t open the window, because our room was located just above a crossroad and it wasimpossible to sleep. The bed was crooked.

Review 65:Friendly staff, good location near Metro

Review 66:Staff not very friendly however this could have been as a result of thelanguage barrier, spoken English was minimal. We arrived quite late butspent 45 minutes lOoking for parking spaces

Review 67:Value for mOney Wifi connection Links to the city

Review 68:I'm not recomending taking breakfasts. 7 euro for tea, 1/4 of baguiette,1 croissant, butter and portion of confiture is too much in my opinion.

Review 69:Kind and helpfull staff. Good place to stay if you are looking for cheapand nice hotel. Good comunication with the city (couple minutes walk tometro station).

Review 70:The hostler is really good and can speak enough english. There aresupermarkets and some restaurant near here. The metro station is notfar, but it may be close to the end of the line.

Review 71:It's a little difficult to get to hotel with taxi after hours but during the day, public transportation is very convenient.

Review 72:Very nice people work here and really accomidated my late arrival.

Review 73:Excellent value for modest accommodations. Short walk from Metro. Good connections to train stations and central Paris. Neat neighborhood surroundings. Friendly staff. Great for families not afraid to branch out from center of Paris and travel 30 minutes or so on Metro to get to Paris destinations.

Review 74:3 blocks away from Metro

Review 75:Hotel owner was nice and could speak enough english. Location is in aquiet neighborhood close to groceries and wet/dry market.

Review 76:Few minutes to Metro 13 line which does take you nicely into the city, but Malakoff is at the end of the line so it was further out than Iexpected. Had some difficulty getting towels replaced on a dailybasis. Internet didn't work in my room and the lobby closed at 11pm,so used internet out in the hall. All inconveniences understandable tothe price.

Review 77:Decent value for the money. Had free internet. Double bed.

Review 78:Hotel "amenities" were lacking. Sheets aren't really changed more than once a week if you're staying long term. No fridge in the room. The room is a little small, but compared to other rooms at the same price, it was large. This hotel would not be good for those looking for something fancy. If you want a decent place to stay, though. It is great!

Review 79:This hotel covers the basics. Think of it more like renting an studio apartment if you're getting a single bedroom (although some rooms seem like actual apartments). You can't beat the price for a private room outside of a "bad" neighborhood. It is of Metro 13 Malakoff-Plateau de Vanves which connects you easily with the rest of the city. The hotel is quiet.

Review 80:Too small rooms, too dirty overall appearance, beds old, quite far awayfrom city center (about 20 min by metro). Metro station Malakoff (line13) is about 10 min. Walk away from hotel. If you are single and youhave no special interest in a comfortable accommodation but only need abed to sleep a few hours, you might stay there, with children it is notrecommendable. There are a few "restaurants" around but we never triedthem ... No supermarkets around.

Review 81:Cheap price, but you really get only a bed for it....

Review 82:Rooms and facilities were clean and simple and rates were good value for money. Typical small rooms and background noise as experienced in many Paris hotels. Metro line and local facilities close by.

Review 83:The size of room and bathroom was small but that should not be a main decision making factor. We live in the U.S and are used to lots of space so that is partly our preference.

Review 84:The location is very good in terms of closeness to metro and time to get to nice sights. Our room was small but clean and comfortable enough for tourists. Heaters in room and bathroom were good. We had enough in the room to be comfortable and independent. The staff was excellent in helping and they knew English very well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much, we stayed for 10 days.....

Review 85:The staff was very nice and helpful. The place was a bit small but fair enough for the money spent.

Review 86:There was no kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee, no reimbursement or cancellation

Review 87:The convience of location

Review 88:The place of our room, with view to an internal backyard.

Review 89:The price and the staff's good treatment.

Review 90:Walls so thin it's impossible to sleep, you can hear every single noise fromage other customers.

Review 91:hygiene

Review 92:wifi

Review 93:Location and wonderful staff!

Review 94:Tiny room, stairway too narrow (really difficult to go up with big baggage)

Review 95:Nice host, plenty of restaurants nearby, clean bathroom

Review 96:nice restaurants down the road, quiet area, location to train station

Review 97:N/a

Review 98:Staff are friendly and reserved parking facilitity is excellent. Will stay again. It's good value for money.

Review 99:bed is too old and comfortable.

Review 100:Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi signal is great.

Review 101:Cleanliness, Facilities

Review 102:Close to Metro station

Review 103:horrible bed very small limited towels

Review 104:price staff location nice area

Review 105:small rooms

Review 106:friendly staff very helpfu[[

Review 107:Staff was friendly and arranged for our request. Parking was inside building.

Review 108:Road noise at the front of the hotel. On hot night windows could not be opened.

Review 109:Staff are helpful and polite

Review 110:- No elevator and very small stairway - Bed not very comfortable

Review 111:- Staff was nice - Quiet area

Review 112:We had requested for a room on 1st floor, but owner refused by giving reasons that at 1st floor its very noisy, etc. but it wasnt the fact!

Review 113:No elevator. It was too far from CDG airport (the taxi fees was 70 €)

Review 114:Close to a metro station. No noise at the neighbouhood.

Review 115:No elevator

Review 116:Good relatioship between services and price good location close to the metro. 20 minutos to centre ville

Review 117:No lift

Review 118:Good location to get to the centre of the Paris and to get to Versailles, no fat supermaker Carrefour, and lots of pizza's.

Review 119:Thank you for everything !!

Review 120:The staff was very friendly and good location close the metro.

Review 121:Noise

Review 122:Bed

Review 123:Small rooms. We heard what our neighbors were talking about

Review 124:Clean rooms, nice price, not far from the metro. Good stuff. Service each day

Review 125:It was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are quite a number of halal restaurants near the hotel
