Reviews for Hotel Gisela
Review 1:I'm not a fan of memory foam beds. There was some noise from the next door concert venue on our second night.
Review 2:Very friendly staff, great location next to the railway station and just across the bridge from the old town.
Review 3:Wifi connection was not very reliable and the bed was a little jangled, but for one night it was OK
Review 4:Lady at the desk was very nice, room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good with fresh homemade bread. Location is perfect just next to the train station.
Review 5:Ideal stopover for train travellers as the hotel is located in Station forecourt. Friendly staff whose recommendation of the Purlepaus restaurant for evening meal was most helpful.Kufstein has a wonderful castle perched overlooking the River Inn and is a town with character.
Review 6:No one at the front desk, the door was locked and a sign to call a phone number. I don't have a phone in Europe so I had to go back to the train station to use a pay phone. Breakfast wasn't much. The wi-fi was a joke. The secound day it didn't work at all but with no one at the hotel you couldn't tell them. The hallways were wood and very noisy.
Review 7:Location
Review 8:Location was great - short walk to restaurants-good breakfast- comfortable rather than stylish- great value- 25 minutes drive to the slopes of Sol and surrounding areas- helpful and very friendly staff. Kufstein was very Austrian and attractive, not too touristy. The sister restaurant that they recommend called Purlepaus was really good - ask for the fixed menu at 9 euros a head.
Review 9:Nik picking guests who need something to complain about.
Review 10:Great location friendy staff.breakfast excellent.short walk to town food and staff at Gisela reccomended restaurant fabulous huge portions helpful friendy staff value for money.to pick holes with this hotel because no lift or welcome tray is petty you cannot expect a 150 year old traditional chalet to put in a lift cases only have to be taken up stairs once . Old or infirmed guests are offered assistance ( i am 72 with a damaged knee and was treated with respect ) and a travel kettle can be purchased from Amazon for 10 euro/£
Review 11:No complaints
Review 12:This hotel was right in our budget and the location was perfect for us. We were a combination of skiers, sightseers and two dogs as well. Great accommodation and easy to find.
Review 13:We stayed here one night in December. The hotel is located literally across the street from the train station. Very convenient if coming by train. We drove and parking was free right in front of the hotel. It was a 5 minute walk to town and the fortress. Our room was spacious, clean and modern. Our room faced the rear of the hotel and was very quiet at night. The staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was a good, typically German breakfast. WIFI was free and worked well.
Review 14:It was a little noisy with people if we left our windows open and then got stuffy if we closed them while sleeping.
Review 15:Hotel Gisela couldn't have been more perfectly located and easy to find. It made lugging our bags to and from the train station quite simple and yet we were also a short walk to the main square. Kufstein was a beautiful village and we enjoyed our time there.
Review 16:nothing. everything was super.
Review 17:position close to the station, parking free and catch a train! confortable rooms, staff very friendly and speaking more than 1 language. very clean . highly recommendable

Review 26:Friendly staff
Review 27:Good small hotel, right across from the station and a short walk over the river from the centre of Kufstein. Friendly staff.
Review 28:The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Ideally located for our purpose.
Review 29:The swimming pool was not open and I was unhappy as we picked the hotel for this.

Review 40:Breakfast is fav, friendly staff, room very comfy definitely will recommend to friends
Review 41:the young lady who checked me in was excellent.i needed to leave early in the morning and was going to miss breakfast. the hotel prpepared sandwiches and gave me a token for the coffee machine. i thought this was a nice touch..
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:1. Nice staff (although the lady who checked us in seemed a bit distant, all other staff we met were warm and friendly) 2. Large room - we had the quadruple room which was actually 2 adjoining rooms sharing a common hallway and bathroom. The bigger bedroom was very spacious and could sleep 3 while the the smaller bedroom, which was also adequately sized, could sleep 2. 3. Great value. Breakfast was very adequate with many choices. Coffee was especially good.
Review 44:Could not find fault at all.
Review 45:We came by train and the location of the hotel excellent. The staff were there when we wanted them, and Andreas spoke such good English he had a good sense of humour. The rooms were larger than I expected and I would stay again.
Review 46:Such a good experience. Very central and no noise from traffic or trains. This is a family run hotel and it shows with the help and attention to detail. It was warm and the room had everything one could need Everyone was kind , one only had to ask.Such a good centre and transport good and punctual. I would certainly recommend it and stay there again.
Review 47:It would have been nice to have a bath after a days skiing also heating in the bathroom would have been good
Review 48:Very warm welcome with lots of information about the area. They kindly let as keep one room for a late check out at no extra charge. Great central location, lovely warm rooms with comfy beds.
Review 49:The skibus could depart earlier than 0930 am.
Review 50:We spent our Christmas holidays at Hotel Gisela in a top floor apartment. Apartment was great and had a lot of space. Personal was very kind and service good. Location couldn't be better, just across the train station and a short walk distance to center and skibus stop. No need for rental car. Really value for your money.
Review 51:Very good hotel with a friendly atmosphere. In this hotel guests are treated like family members. We were in the hotel Gisela is already the second time. The rooms are very cozy, clean and warm. The Breakfast was very good and various. The castle and the historic centre are a 5-minute walk from the hotel. In 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel is the stop of the free ski bus in Soll. Special thanks to the staff friendly, especially Andreas. We not only were skiing in the mountains, but also traveled to the cities of Austria. The hotel staff is always ready to help, answer any questions, explain how better to buy a train ticket, where transfer to another transport. They advised us to a very good restaurant nearby, gave a discount. We really want to go back to this hotel again.
Review 52:Perfect facilities, and very friendly staff. Amazing breakfasts. 20m from rail station, but with windows closed, I could not hear it. Good for hikers and cyclists on the Inn Valley cycle tour. Only one hour from Munich, but without Munich prices, makes this our hotel of choice for Munich airport.
Review 53:Wi-Fi as a little spotty during peak hours - but nothing really tocomplain about at all.
Review 54:We loved everything. Beautiful location, very friendly people(both staffand around town), conveniently next to the train platforms, warm andcozy, free breakfast in the morning, tv, daily room service. Andreas ofthe hotel staff was unending in his help. Drawing maps for us severaltimes during our 5 day stay, looking up train schedules for us multipletimes, offering us rides to various grocery stores, carrying our luggageupstairs. Truly a great experience.
Review 55:Hotel was perfect for a brief overnight stay before on route between Austria and Germany. Clean, comfortable and very good breakfast. We chose it because it is very close to the station and we didn't want to drag our bags all round Kufstein.
Review 56:hotel gisela is a gem, opposite the trainstation but suprisingly quiet. The staff were were so friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and assist with unusual requests.(eg. providing icepacks for injured knee ) Its cleanliness and a very substantial breakfast made my stay wonderful.
Review 57:Stay too short.
Review 58:Staff very helpfully and informative. Went out of their way to answer our questions and be of assistance. Rooms large, clean and quiet. Breakfast excellent.
Review 59:It wasn't really a hotel. More of a hostel. Not much money had been spent on either furniture or decoration. Doors were locked at night, sometimes as early as 8pm and there were no staff present. All a bit strange and off putting.
Review 60:The hotel has a great location next to the station with good connections to Salzburg and only 15 mins by car to the ski area. Mountain walks are also possible from the outskirts of the town. Staff very helpful and friendly and accomodation is spacious and the hotel has character.
Review 61:We stayed at Hotel Gisela for 6 nights in a large appartment on the top floor. The room was newly renovated and very large. The service was perfect and personal. The location next to the trainstation is great coming from Munich airport, with cheap Bayernticket. The skibus to the SkiWelt was only 5 minutes walk away and you can also take the train to Kitzbühel in 1 hour. Supervacation at a really nice hotel. I strongly recommend a dinner at Auracher Lochl, one of the best restaurants I ever visit.
Review 62:Location is great, easy to get to and close too old town. Train stationis right across the street, yet the hotel was quite and restful. A greathopping off place to view the rest of tyrolia and Austria, as well asseeing the rest of Kufstein.
Review 63:We had a rest in Gisela hotel in January, 2013. Our company consisted of 2 families with children. The hotel very much was pleasant. The hotel is located directly near railway station on a silent small street. To the free ski bus on foot no more than 5 - 7 minutes (went with children). On the way admired a view on old fortress. Hotel comfortable, warm, numbers rather big and convenient. Everything in number regularly worked. Hotel very pure, numbers cleaned daily. In hotel very various breakfast. The owner of hotel - the friendly young man, willingly helped us with everything. Kufshtayn's small town very much was pleasant to us. Is both sights, and shops for all tastes. The ski bus brought us to Zoll where there are a lot of elevators, inexpensive hire of skis and snowboards. From Zoll it is possible to roll down on skis in Shifau, Emau and other areas. Even when below there was a rain, in mountains we perfectly rode. To all we recommend this hotel. Surely once again here we will arrive.
Review 64:Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location, close to Railway station and Town. Good value for money. Good choice of variety for buffet breakfast.
Review 65:We travel a lot both work and pleasure, usually staying at hotels in the 80-100 euro price range. Hotel Gisela is unfortunately totally overpriced and I would not recommend it to anyone, considering that there are much nicer hotels in Kufstein for approximately the same price. In hotel Gisela we had a double room with disgustingly stained curtains, shabby furniture, cheap rug on the floor and whiskey glasses for toothbrushes in the bathroom. There is no elevator You may not hear the trains but you do hear the buses and taxis outside. Also, the breakfast was poor, some cups next to the coffee machine were dirty, shelves were dusty with withered roses on them etc. This hotel would need a total renovation. Now it is a sad 2 star hotel charging a 4 star hotel's price.
Review 66:Honestly speaking, I did not like anything about this hotel and I would not return.
Review 67:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It it in an excellent location- right next to the train station (but not noisy) and just a 5 minute walk, if that, to the town centre. Comfortable and clean rooms.
Review 68:Location is excellent, just opposite the train station. Good base for hiking. Easy to go to nearby village by bus or train. Room is clean, just have to wait a while for the hot water. The hotel staff that attend to us was friendly and very helpful, giving us advices on hiking routes everyday (thank you Andreas).
Review 69:If they provided a bacon or eggs for breakfast this place wouldbe perfect.
Review 70:Nice old building in a very convenient location right outside the trainstation. Friendly guy on reception who gave me good advice about skiingin the area. Room was very spacious and well equipped - sofa, tv,plenty of wardrobe space, big bathroom. Breakfast also good with lotsof variety.
Review 71:The staff was very helpful and nice. They answered all of our questions and were able to direct us to places in the town. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety.
Review 72:I was please with my stay.
Review 73:Hidden treasure!!! Staff was great and helpful. City center just a fewminutes walk. Looking forward to coming back to Kufstein.
Review 74:Smoking is allowed in the stairwells, which means the rooms and hallways smell of stale cigarette smoke.
Review 75:Friendly, helpful staff; good breakfast; reasonable price; convenient parking; easy walk to city center; easy drive to Ski Welt
Review 76:The buffet breakfast was excellent. There was use of a computer and somebook shelves in a comfortable lounge area. The receptionist was wasextremely helpful with tourist information & travel information for myongoing journey. The Hotel could not be closer to the Railway station;and there was no disturbance from the station traffic.
